As you said, it's a race boat & i know your just itching to put that sucker in the water under power!!!! you & i both know there ain't enough hours in the day !!!!! Looks Good..

It looks like the "Safety blue" I used on my business Tee Shirts WAAAY back in the day. Like the blonde when they asked her what kinda car she drives, she replies "A blue one", and so it is with you and your boat. Good enough works for me as well! I woulda had to use spray bomb cans. Yours is much better than that. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Come on Eric, your feet are probably sweating already , wanting to get wet! It's almost "show time"! This will be a ride! One thousand horse power on a spit on a shingle! Awesome! I'm getting strapped into my desk chair, getting ready! Vroom, Vroom!
@@JollyRoger907 Awesome! Time to get those flip flops wet! Will the Bean be along for the "maiden voyage"? I cannot wait for my seat up over your right shoulder as you turn that honkin' beast loose!

Where do you live and what’s your specialty? Maybe come to a race and introduce yourself as a starting point. Would be great to have more help sometimes!
Dad had a body shop all my life. He went to part time about 20 years ago. I could hear him yelling at you as he does me. Lol. He does everything half-a$$ed. Except painting cars. With that its gotta be his way period. So race car paint jobs ticks him off. But thats what they are. They should be twenty footers at best! Btw I can do it but I hate it! I do my own stuff and spray his projects because the spray is more than his health can handle. Looks good. There are things that could make it better but it looks pretty dang good. And it'll look awesome on the water!
that's the same blu as our trim is on the ''casa'' here.... LOL it's some collage official color issin't it?? one of the blu yellor silver teams if I remember right.... I will look up the color page LOL
I use Pyrex mixing cups to mix my paint. Also not all paints are going to lay down flat. Over lap areas might look a little thick (orange Peel) also when you move your hand all the way left or all the way right you have to bend your wrist so that the gun stays 90° to the surface.
Isopropal alcohol wipe down before paint is a must. Other than that you're paint turned out freekin awesome brother. Could use a good coat of IMRON on the bottom side. That stuff is bullet proof. Awesome paint but expensive as hell. Again, very nice job.
@@JollyRoger907 to bad your a couple hours away. If you were close I’d come give you some free help. Back in the day I built a blown and injected flat bottom drag boat with a lot of help from my late friend champ alcohol flat drag racer Don Ermshar when I still lived in Buena Park Ca. Had blown and injected BBC with zombie headers and a top fuel dragster rear wing and small stainless t-tank gas tank mounted low beneath the wing off the stringers. It would easily do 125 in the 1/4 mile. Was pearl white with all the happy colors layer out down the side and design up the middle of the deck. It was a show quality boat that never let me down. I was just 21 when I finished it in 1981 and added up just the main stuffs cost and not all the little stuff and had $45.750 in it and the trailer. So reality probably about $55,000 which in those days was big bucks. Detailed a lot of high dollar exotic cars from Newport Beach to pay for it at night and had a day job in construction. Would run it at the Parker Strip in Arizona and was the most fun I’d ever had. I’m on Facebook and name is Ron Masterjohn but for some reason can’t log into my Facebook account now for a few months.
I can totally relate to painting in a garage like that. It looks pretty good to me ! Glad to see you had a respirator on. Now comes the fun part , and the payback for all those hours : the final assembly. I am really looking forward to that. Many thanks.
HINT: Perfect time to make some templates of known issue areas, I recall you struggling with the windshield frame and a couple other things. Thick construction paper that rolls up is awesome :)
Another great content video. Thanks Eric.
Thanks Keith!!!
Looks great, I am ready to watch you race, will be fun.
I can’t wait!!!

Shooting for Thursday to get it wet!!!
That means use a good respirator filter
Oh I do believe me!
Love your sponsor list! Should have Bud Light sponsor you!😂
Lol no thanks! 🤣
If it were a car instead of the jet boat you'd want nice Tranny to pair with that built V8 you got in there.

Lol I can relate
It's not like there's a big video site with people on it that know how to do things like set up paint guns. Imagine if we had something like that.
That’s how I learned what got me this far. But there’s no replacement for someone actual experience getting shown directly!
@@JollyRoger907 I'm being a bit cheeky of course. I'm anxious to see it rip!
Final clean use denatured alcohol let dry then wipe over everything with a tack clothe then shoot that sucker.
Thanks for the tip!
If anyone complained about the paint job I'd respond with it makes it go faster. No matter what lol .
Lol 😂

You also might want to try wetting the floor down so you don't stir up dust that will settle on your paint.
That’s a great idea! Will try that in the future!
Wax and grease remover...for cleaning
✌️🤟👍
i always just used thinner to do the final wipe down before painting
I wasn’t sure if it’d mess up the primer? I did do that before the first coat of primer.
Only one that needs to be happy bout it is you! Sure been a fun build to watch !
Absolutely!
Thats a nice blue color!
Toyota Voodoo blue aka Jolly Roger Blue lol

Still amazed at how small those boats are!
They’re no joke small!!!!

Thanks, it’ll work!
Looks good! Not bad for a garage spray job!
Git’n’R-done!
Well done, looks great.

Awesome Boat , cant wait to see it on the water
Me too!!! 🤣
Did not realize the sides where so low.
