Don't know why this tutorial doesn't have more likes and views, this was so clear and helpful thankyou! I had to do both the compound path and reverse path direction and it worked great :).
The problem is with transformation or anchor point rotation. Check xyz rotation key. Software is adding an additional data of key which making it happen. In technical language you can say that the algorithm you were looking for is 2d algorithm but the software is using 3d algorithm for solving equation. The problem u think it's a glitch is known as manifold straight line problem.
Oh good, I had it recently, and why switch flip direction icon doesn't work in this case in AAE although there it is, when you morph a two shapes. It's good that I've seen your video
Thanks for the tip. now i can see the shap is moving left while changing to circle. how to make animation without moving it. i tried to center anchor point for both but it still moves and achor point change its position too.
This tutorial did not helped me but I found an easier solution. You need to make sure the vertex point of path1 is kinda in the same place as your vertex point of path2 by rightclicking > "Mask and Path Shape" > Set first vertex point on path2. you can recognize a vertex point by clicking on your white arrow. It is the round circled point
it's 2022, and judging from the previous comments, you've now been a life saver for 3 years. THANK YOU
thank you! everybody just showing "ideal situation" in their tutorials, but nobody speaks about real problems and how to solve it!

Did you find a solution for this problem?
@@dominikadomi456 Still suffering
Thanks
thanks sir
my path keyframe doesn´t copy from AE to illustrator, anyone know why this is?
life saver
i love you, I was suffering
We all did
Great!😍😍😍😍
Hi, neither of these worked for me. Is there a reason anyone knows of?
For the path direction you can do it in after effects
Path shifts in size and position doing it this way. Any solution for that? I mean if you have just one object it's fine but i've got dozens of them...
Did you find the solution ?
hey pro thanks good

I've just uploaded a video on my channel with a solution that doesn't require any other software, just some simple expressions. Check it out!
