This is an excellent tutorial. However, when I follow your steps the T transforms into the R but the top of the R is filled with colour whereas yours isn't and looks exactly as it's supposed to be. I can't for the life of me work out why this is (and it's important when you have to stick to a specific font). I messed around with the stroke and fill but it can't be applied to just this part of the letter, only the letter as a whole, which is no good. Can't seem to create a mask on this layer to subtract this colour either! Is there another step you've not mentioned here?
Also like another commenter below, trying to reset the first vertex is greyed out. Any suggestions as to why? Thanks!

Thank for the tutorial, it's really good and clear. I got a question, when I do path objects and want to change a point somthims it moves the entire object, the only way I found to select a point when this happens is but using the pen tool. Is there a better way I am missing?

Can somebody help me? I was able to morph the shape but my shapes keep moving all over the place. when I try to align them in the center, the other shapes move too. So all the shapes are moving and I cant align everyone.

I was confused about the T having only 1 path and R having 2 paths. Don't we only need 1 path to change a T to an R with keyframes?
What's the point of the second path? I appreciate if anyone could answer. Thankyou :D

R has 2 paths: inner and outer path (inner for the "hole" of R). Hope it helped
