yeah what he did for Houston was he keep them relevant along with Yao Ming after hakeem left that was a huge transition at the time in the 2000s . it would have been nice if Francis stayed right and when tmac arrived Houston would have had a big three to contend with the tough western conference at the time . you got to understand from a Houstonian perspective we love the t flashy guards like tmac francis and harden but none of this talent materialized in the form of a title. Hakeem will always be the greatest of all time to me for what he did in 94 and 95 .

With the double fat wristbands above the elbows . VERY early 2000s. Francis was my favorite player when I was in High School, and he was at Maryland. I remember arguing with my coach that he was better than Andre Miller from Utah. Damn Im old

Steve & AI had Similarities in there game but also just like AI, the Franchise was in a league of his own man. Even tho he had his flaws like we all do he should still get a honorable mention. I rarely 👂 his name come out of any NBA Legends mouths in interviews or whatnot. HELL I would have put him in the NBA 75 Greatest players b4 I put some of them player they had on there TBH.... No cap 🎩

What people fail to realize about Steve Francis he had great basketball skills but at that particular time he had one of the highest vertical leaps in the game if not the highest he could jump out the gym.

Steve was something else…Handles: Kyrie, Defense: Beverly that can jump, Passing: CP3, Shooting: good, Rebounding: Westbrook/Harden without chasing stats, Athleticism: Westbrook/Rose. He was fearless and had that mamba mentality

Just imagine if the 2000 players played in today’s game just one factor changing for them like their deep twos converted into threes will improve their scoring inefficiency so much
