The trade of Bibby wasn't a failure; but the Kings needed to hold onto White Chocolate. That was the perfect fit for him.

It was but he was too reckless and had costly turnovers. Jason says himself that getting sent to Memphis helped him calm down and focus instead of just trying to entertain the crowd. By the time he got to Miami he was a very efficient guard who could still put on the flash every now and then. His growth helped him become a champion

I remember watching that game. Spurs were so good.
My parents had season tickets, around midcourt, logo was upside down from the seats, row M I think. I was so pissed when they traded Jason Williams. Everyone said it made the team better, still liked J Will better. Mike Bibby was a nice guy and a great player, but it was not as good a show. I was a Kings fan, but I was glad he won a chip with the Heat, Shaq asked them to get him. Kings never did get a chip, too much Clyde and the Blazers, Lakers and Magic throwing dimes at people.
Geoff Petrie brought in a LOT of talented Europeans, Vlade, Peja, Hedo. He was sort of a genius on picking talent. Fun times, have a closet full of the give away T shirts. They passed out white shirts sometimes, or noise makers you blew up and gave them to people sitting behind the basket, so you could beat them together when the other team is trying to shoot free throws. They gave you a pin and a shirt on opening night. One has that quote from the Sports Illustrated cover, "Greatest Show on Court." It got loud at Arco, like bring earplugs if the Lakers or Warriors were coming to town loud. It was a lot of fun. I don't really like the venue they play in now, uncomfortable seats, they put the rows too close together if I remember right. Been a while, last game I went to there was Dirk's last game in Sacramento, or maybe I went to see the Globetrotters there since then.

We'll first off, i still remember this game i saw it at age 12. He was incredible he had his breakout game vs my Spurs...but this wasn't just any spurs team this was the '99 soon to be champion spurs and arguably the strongest one next to the 2005 and 2014 team's. Willams eventually struggled a bit throughout the league before finally finding a spot in mami where he wade shaq won thier first title in 2006 vs dallas.

He really wasn’t. Shot .39% for his career and .32% from 3. He’s been highly overrated especially recently. Super fun to watch, exciting, and was hoping it would turn into more. But the reality is his shooting % was not good and he average under 6 assists for career too. Again, not hating, he was fun and he did contribute and wasn’t bad, but have been overrated the last several years.
