Thank you so much! This worked wonderfully in my girlfriends 2015 x5 35i. I decided to get the Audio control LC7i for getting the high level from the car, and Ended up doing a Resilient sounds Entry v2 15 in a ported ported application tuned to 28 hz. Alpine 1200 rms amplifer. slaps lows very good and has really good bandwidth. 3.5 cubic feet net with 56 sq in of port. ( the port is 1.5 cubic feet alone tuned to 28.
Great Video!!! i have a 2019 X7 I just got an aftermarket sub-install. Nothing against the audio shop but they definitely did my install wrong my for some reason they though I didn't have factory sub woofer which is under the seat. My sub sound like a regular speaker this helps a lot.
It's very doable. And to do the install right, I'd recommend everything in the description. You could go with a cheaper pac module, like the Pac LPA-1.2 LOC, you could go with a different amp like the Stinger 7001d to shave some money.
Thank you so much. I ended up doing this install exactly like you did but couldn’t do it under the trunk due to spare tire. That trunk lid rattles though. What would you recommend to fix that? Plus what settings did you use on the amp?
I thought I’d read you don’t want to use the factory sub wire output as it is cut off frequency wise to suit the stock underseat subs? So if you’re running 10” or bigger you could be missing out on lower frequencies the stock subs don’t play….
Parts used linked in the description of the video. Check it out!
By far the best installation I’ve seen thus far. Great job!
Very impressed with the work, and the owner still has the room in the truck.
Technic PNP actually makes a plug and play connector so you don't even have to tap into the sub wire harness.
You have the link to buy it?

What’s all done to the electrical
i love this video best explanation, I a BMW X6 as well, I'm afraid this box might not give me the bass I'm looking for though.
This is just a tutorial, you are not tied to the equipment I used. Lots of sub box options out there.

So you dont need to tap into the brown red brown black???
Can you mount my amp rack like that so it can just install?
How much is just the install if I already have the sub and the amp? (BALLPARK COST) thanks !
Also I have a 2016 X5 with the HK system.
Is it possible to hook up a 4 channel in 2016 x5 35i with harden Karmen in it ?
Did you tap in to only one subwoofer for the line in for both left and right?
Yep, that was all that was needed. The sub(s) are mono from factory, so either side (or both) is fine.
I tapped in to the same wires as you and run it to the left input on the lci and it wont power on or send remote live?
Mmm what are the dimensions for the abs plastic
Can you put 5.25 in the door of an 2017 x5?
On a scale from 1-10, how DIY is this? Also, is everything needed for the install included in the description?
