All dead is a big overstatement. I was listing to a podcast from Al Burgess this wk where it seems he still climbs E2/3 in his 70's. John Porter very much alive and doing inspirational lectures to schools kids. Both the Burgess Twins seem to be alive and well.
Excellent documentary,climbing legends everywhere
Great footage. Joe Tasker is one of my favourite mountaineers and it's fantastic to see him. Thanks for putting this up.
I am totally hooked on mountaineering docs, really enjoying this!! Thanks for sharing!
These guys rock. Looks like they're going up a way other summiteers would not dare. True mountaineers.
love watching this all and ade burgess brill.
Wonderful to see this. Thanks for posting this and others
❤😁🇬🇧great posts thanks.
Those tan mittens look like something I wore as a child in the 60's playing in the snow, I would think youd want gloves for dexterity.
Dachsteins
top docu thanks !!
I hadn't seen the Roraima one since my teens! Cheers right back mate.
Brilliant
What is that beautiful music at 11:36?
Not sure but the soundtrack was composed by Ernie Wood if that helps.
It's Roderigo's Concierto de Aranjuez.
Great
They're all dead, lost on subsequent expeditions, such a waste of young life, none of them saw 40
Still a few members left but yes for the most part an extinguished generation.
Waste of young life? I bet they didn't feel like their lives were wasted.
