Negative comments about the ABBA comparison are funny... It's no secret that ABBA was a strong influence for Tuomas and Darkness of Eternity was actually recorded at Benny Anderson's studio, where he had the chance to use ABBA's original, and for some of them unique, synths, such as the Yamaha GX-1. It must have been a very special experience for him! So the fact that some songs "sound like ABBA" is actually on purpose. This album is fantastic, Tuomas' talent as a composer really shines here. And Capri's voice is just perfect!

I get the impression that Tuomas is a true artist. His compositions show a brilliance and attention to detail regardless if they are going to sell or not at the big festivals. The rhythm section is as good as any out there. The first time I heard "Dreamchaser", I checked the album credits to see if Yngwie Malmsteen made a guest appearance on the track. Bravo to the lead guitarist. And now for my favorite member of the band- Capri. Her voice is so accomplished, that she hits notes pefectly like a keyboard, not sliding up and down to find pitch. Capri is a virtuoso at her trade hands down. I don't know any other Amberian Dawn fans here in upstate NY, USA. I may have to see them in one of the Nordic countries I guess.

Amberian Dawn actually produced some of the tracks on this album at the studio of former ABBA member Benny Andersson. They even used his vintage keyboard for some of the tracks for that "ABBA vibe" that you are hearing.

@@hezibaer9083 idk I tend to play this song when the Pats knock a team out of the playoffs, I wouldn't say it's a happy song for those teams XD (and when we lose I promptly forget it exists cause yea lol) but you know when they beat the chiefs this week it will be played in a joyful occasion.
