after this I have soo much respect for Dionne, she is amazing and sooo strong.
There was never a moment that as a fan, my opinion of Whitney was ever anything but the very highest. Never a moment that I cared for anything negative that was said or written about her. It really hurts my heart that she is gone from this earth but it makes me joyful to think of her home going to God and to see her wonderful family paying tribute in such beautiful ways. God rest her soul and bless the family. There is good left on this earth yet. Lets do our best to cherish it while it is here.
She was a beautiful woman with an amazing voice that never will be forgotten, I grew up with her songs. And while working in a Headstart program we used her song for our slide show of the year events, and it was well loved and cherished by all!!!! Rest in Peace Whitney, and may your song live on thru your daughter.

@19t86 whitney houston was a global superstar and a human being w/flaws which we all have. Drug use was one way she admittedly dealt w/her tribulations. As human beings we all have something we deal with. You may want to excercise more compassion and understanding when judging others, you never know where your choices may lead you.

Its a sad thing for some one loved by many to take that path that leads through the wide door taking her through its process that lead her through a quick exit .May the good Lord give her the peace no man can give her

@spg911 And as much as I have loved many of Dionne Warwicks songs... I wonder how well she could sing them today? People's voices do change with age.

This message is to Pacificheights...dionne warrick is whitney's cousin...dionne's mother is cissy houston's older sister, therefore, makes whitney and dionne cousins..the reason Dionne is closer in age then Whitney's mother is because Dionne;s mother was the oldest sibling and cissy was the young...dionne was the oldest child in her family and whitney being the youngest in hers

I dont it was street drugs she died from! I still find nit hard that she is gone! I mean I feel like I actually knew her! So happy that she will never suffer again. I pray for her daughter; this will be so hard for her young soul!
