But gucchon worked so hard even nelson had to admit his feeling,moving,timing cannot defeat gucchon's in the tie round....and I fully respect nelson. People think nelson's moving is simple because he has reached a very high level just like walid....connections, angles, emotions and very detailed pops. Even he didn't won gucchon but check how he arranged his entire move....dope! By the way, for me gucchon did well in first round, but he didn't reach 100% in 2nd and 3rd rounds.

People might say why did gucchon win when he was doing salsa :D That's because boogaloo originated from Latin dance like salsa and romba... Boogaloo that people nowadays recognize is just sam's boogaloo but if you pay attention, Mr Wiggles and pete have their own boogaloo. So, Gucchon also has his own boogaloo which is very similar to salsa but he pops with it :D You can have your own boogaloo from latin dance ^_^ I am also learning latin dance. M just clarifying coz there are a lot of beginner poppers who don't know the history that come here to judge in the internet o.O
I think its only share a same name, there is so many type dance move that use name boogaloo, like latin, okland, james brown and electric boogaloo, but all of it have a different move.
Gucchon is a perfect example of dancing without being bound to any style. In dance, you either have an amazing creativity or amazing dance ability. Dance is an art, therefore creativity is highly valuable too and for some who don't have creativity, dance ability will win and I think it depends on people whether they like being creative or just dancing :D Creative moves normally don't have a feeling to it but it got some sort of intellect to it while most people that just dance don't have much creativity but they got the feeling on it. There are also those who are just bound to one style and copies someone else's way of feeling and tries to obtain credibility out of it. Dance styles are boogaloo, animation, etc. Dance style in dancing is like Karate in fighting. At the end of the day, it is not the guy with the right form front kicks and punches that win but it is the one that knocks the other guy out or scores most points and yes the style does help them obtain that but knocking the opponent out is the ultimate goal. This is similar to dance too where you don't focus on how good your boogaloo is or a particular style but can you use those styles to help you dance better or not. Dancing better is not just doing the same movements that you learned in the style but rather combining it on the spot with your feeling and it may come out looking odd and simple but you have to accept that as your actual feeling for the music that is being played ^_^ Look at Gucchon doing the salsa kinda thing but he is still popping coz he is hitting. That salsa kinda move is what he felt so he just did it and that is called honesty in dance. After all, popping is just hitting. As long as you are hitting, you are popping. Popping is not a dance style on its own, it is like a seasoning to the dance that makes your dance/movement look sharper. In fighting terms, it is like using a weapon to increase your chances of winning the fight and whether you think using a weapon will enhance or decrease the winning chance is up to you depending on the circumstances. Popping is an umbrella term for dance styles that is popular for utilizing hitting.

Tremendous battle. Nelson and Gucchon brought it! Nelson has come a long way over the years and by the end of the first round -- I thought he was going to take it home. However, the battle expertise and skill of Gucchon never ceases to amaze; turning an impossible tide into a stalemate and checking Nelson right back. The battle was very close. While Nelson lost just a bit of steam during the last 2 rounds, Gucchon kept it heavy and was able to come out with the "W." Very impressed by both dancers. The peeps criticizing Nelson need to go back to the drawing boards..
That strong "I DON'T CARE" statement of Gucchon before their last rounds though! That humility and pureness always make him the winner even when he doesn''t win . Awakeing! (@_@)
