Gucchon has always excelled in letting the music play to his dance; by that i mean, he doesnt dance to the music, he dances with the music. His dynamics and his ability to play with the different levels within the music means that a song as predictable and overplayed as,"More Bounce to the Ounce," (not in a negative way, cause face it: its a classic) are on of the factors that have made him one of the greatest poppers of all time. His ability to weave in and out of the different facets of the music have made him a legend. He clearly won this, in my opinion, because Kid Boogie was attempting to do the same thing, by dancing to different levels of the music and using the music to his advantage in terms of interpretation. Kid Boogie played the same game that Gucchon was, and with Gucchon being a master of this tactic, Kid Boogie lost. HOWEVER, with that being said, Kid Boogie showed a glimpse of what could be a game changer for his style and his dancing overall. What always irked me with Kid Boogie was his predictability, and frankly his stagnant one-speed style. He's always dancing in one overall tempo. By taking a page from Gucchon's book, he's added a level of dynamics that I've never seen from him, and completely changed his style. His technicality is still showcased, but the way in which he utilizes it in this battle has shown the true depth of what he could do with his technical skills in terms of his hits, waving, and knowledge of boogaloo. Gucchon truly dances and grooves, and in a sense, Kid Boogie seems to be practicing that same ideology. Gucchon took this battle, but hats off to Kid Boogie for dancing the best rounds I've ever seen from him. His round to more bounce could have taken most of the best dancers in the world, imo. Again, my opinion. By no means am I a great dancer, or worthy of being a critic. But this is what I saw, and my opinion.
This battle will be a classic in the history books. Great crowd and love the show of respect between Boogie and Gucchon. Boogie killed it in technicality of moves; strong waves and hard hits as expected. However, Gucchon's musicality is God level. His ability to show the crowd accents and different sounds within the music is ridiculous. Musicality is important because it breaks repetition and gives the viewer or spectator a different perspective on music that has been played many times before. Gucchon is one of few poppers in the world to possess this talent (Slim Boogie, Henry Link, etc. just to list a couple more). Kid Boogie showed some musicality but not enough to take the battle on just his showcase of skills alone.
Gucchon is one of the greatest poppers of all time imo! Also Kid Boogie was good in this battle, but Gucchon definetly won because of round 1 and round 4.
Ok I shit talked Gucchon in a comment block on another video. I said I thought he was the most overrated, overhyped popper in the biz......but alas after this and about six other videos later I see that I have shoved my foot in my mouth...... real good like. I finally seen the light. My ways are mended I see what all the hype is about and yes it is very founded. I was wrong you are a pop God.

And even that was awesome!
Kid boogie!..
boa killer ♡♡
im sorry. i cant see the special things in Gucchon's Style....
see it in HD. you will see smaller moves that fills in the music.
2-2 I thought. I honestly would have chosen kid boogie. Great battle
You can see through the crowd that it could have gone either way, they both are winners in that matter, was a dope battle.
KID BOOGIE= ROBBED
disagree. I think it could go any other way. Kid boogie's nuke hits vs gucchon's out of this world musicality is really hard to weigh down
Disagree. His rounds were way to short, he left the door open himself.
Wack DJ !
Fucken gucchon is overhyped man, I honestly don't even see that much musicality
you are blind son, his control level is above the rest of all poppers alive
Honestly.... Stfu.
Go study not pointing finger
