Watching the africa series uploaded so far. come to know that rumors about africa were all lies. Organized cities, sensible people follow rules especially on road /traffic. Neat and clean roads.

The situation you encountered with the Zambian Traffic Enforcers remind me of an incident Itchy Boots encountered in Nigeria en route to Cameroon. The freeway connecting Nigeria to Cameroon is blocked with tree trunks strategically put in place on both sides of the road to slow commuters down and two constables in every check point. Incoming and outgoing vehicles are being stopped for inspection. Itchy Boots successfully got through parts of the stretch without problem until she reached another check point. The two constables were joyfully chatting with Itchy Boots and out of the blue, the two constables demanded money jokingly. It was shown on youtube how these two constables stripped off their uniforms - fired from their job. Whoever reported them to the Nigerian Chief of Police, these two constables did is bad for tourism. I hope this incident will serve as a lesson to the rest of the constables not to ask money to unsuspecting foreign visitors. I hope these traffic enforcers accused you for driving dangerously will see themselves in that position to discourage corrupt traffic enforcers. If their accusation was legitimate, they could have handed you your ticket violation but based on what I saw on youtube, you were not ticketed. These traffic enforcers pocketed the money you gave them, did they? I hope somebody will report the incident to their superiors so they will be rooted out from their post.
