  • Hi y'all, in my channel other than spirituality and self development I want to talk about current issues and my take on them (especially if i'm familiar with the topic).
In this video I wanted to highlight the gratitude I feel by living with my parents as I am making the most out of it (knowing that they are not immortal and even though i'd like to have my own personal place I chose to feel grateful for what I already have).
Another point is that taking time for ourselves to figure things out is okay. It is not wasted time as everything is useful for our personal growth.
Also, do not think as a failure just because you haven't accomplished what society considers "normal", everyone is different, the only thing i'd advice to do is to follow what feels right.
Do not let yourself be dominated by stigmas and fears.
p.s I'm still trying to figure out how to make sense while I'm speaking lol

I didn't go to college, and I am in my 30s. I work a good job. I am still living with my parents until spring and I am saving up.

yep, I totally understand...there's the misconception that those who live with their parents are just lazy, but there are those who work as well so it's a wise choice to make, working and saving up so at least you have foundations when you go live by yourself.

@@spiritualjournal1203 And in some cultures, kids stay with their parents for a long time to look after their parents. There are various reasons why people stay with their parents, and people are too quick to judge.

you got this, if you take care of yourself first then you'll be able to take care of your other family members too...keep doing what you're doing and you'll see results. you might feel a lot of pressure, but you're young and you will figure things out for sure!

Yes your expected to be independent, its important to your growth as a person. You go get a job that pays the bills even if you don't like it and you rent or buy. Saying society this and that only does so much when you aren't able to care for yourself because you never learned to be independent. Its more a fear of being alone with yourself that holds most people back

I never said not to get a job, my point is: anyone can live with their parents for however long they want without feeling judged. People can work, and still live with their parents because they want to save up not because they don't want to do anything with their lives. some people just want to be independent but at their own pace.

No one is truly independent. Societies are made of people who depend on each other. Unless you live off the grid then you're truly independent. My parents kicked me out when I was 17, did my fair share of living "independent". Thinking back now all my rent money could go toward my parents mortgage or my small business. Don't let the realestate defines your life style. I'm 28, moved back to my parents and just opened my 3D printable miniatures studio, Triple Spire Workshop. I'm able to support myself and my parents by just doing what I should have done long time ago.
