- This travel vlog is about exploring the Nalco township of Damanjodi in Koraput district.The nalco township has many tourist places like 2nd largest Hanuman statue,red mud pond,ash pond,Kantabaunsunni temple,Jagannath temple,Shirdi Sai baba temple,Park and many more. The Nalco township of Damanjodi is a very nice and well maintained township. One must visit Damanjodi when on a trip to Koraput. The Nalco plant at Damanjodi is the largest alumina plant of Asia and also it has a conveyor belt of around 15 kms which is used to carry Bauxites from Damanjodi mines to Damanjodi Nalco plant. The Hanuman Vatika of Damanjodi also has the 2nd largest Hanuman statue in the world which is also a must visit place. There are Red mud pond and ash pond which have the residue of the Nalco Damanjodi plant which is a totally unique experience at Damanjodi Hilltop. There is also Damanjodi park with many man-made structures which makes it a good place to spend time with family. Damanjodi travel vlog of the koraput series will help you in planning to visit the places.

About damanjodi:
Damanjodi is a town located in the Koraput district of the Indian state of Odisha in the Eastern Ghats.Damanjodi is located on the foothills of the Panchapatmali mountain range. The soil is rich with bauxite and has a reddish appearance. It is primarily a hilly area with a sparse population. Population of Damanjodi is dependent upon National Aluminium Company (NALCO), a Navaratna PSU of Government of India, which is Asia's largest and the world's seventh largest producer of aluminium. Tourist places of Damanjodi are:
-Shree Jagannath temple : The Shree Jagannath Temple is a major Hindu temple complex.
-Maa Kantabausini temple : Located near one of the main entrance gates of the township, the Maa Kantabausini Temple is a local tourist destination. The presiding deity of Damanjodi Maa Kantabaunsini dwells in the natural sacred grove of bamboo trees.
-Shree Shiridi Sai Baba temple : The town's newest temple complex comprises the Dwarka Mayi and Shiridi temples.
-Shree Hanuman temple : The Shree Hanuman temple complex contains a 108 ft tall statue of Lord Hanuman, which can be seen from any part of the town, as well as a temple with an ashtadhatu idol of Hanuman. It is the second largest Hanuman Statue in India.

1985 to 1987, I stayed and worked in NALCO damanjodi as sr executive. Aluminum pachine, a french govt co. collaboration, and NALCO was just 3 to 4 years old. Only jungle, jungle and jungle. My first love ❤️💟 Damanjodi.

@@travelwithpj I am from damanjodi and stayed around most if my life and that would be around 15 to 16 years and trust me the weather there is quite Awsome and if you would go in winters at night around 12 the temperature drops to 2to 4 degree as well
