Your review cost me 70$ :( Bought second scooter for my girlfriend, Xiaomi Pro, because you said it is almost the same even more slugish. But it wasn`t. We both went on, and there was a steep hill 5-6° incline, aporoximatly 500m long. Ninebot Max did it 12km/h but Xiaomi Pro did it 4-5km/h, constantly shutting down due to low speed. So it is better to just walk the hill with Xiaomi Pro. So we returned Xiaomi Pro and bought Ninebot max. Fee for returning was 70$ Acceleration and other stuff is comparable between Ninebot max and Xiaomi Pro, but not a hill climb, it differs a lot. Thanks otherwise for reviews
I own 2 Max’s roughly 125 miles total ridden. The front light is one of the biggest draw backs compared to my last ES4. They have angled it down and focused the light beam making riding at night above 12mph dangerous and scary as you can’t see far enough ahead to see what’s coming in time to stop. If you do extensive night riding in unlit areas you will need a a head lamp.
Interesting. I personally don't go too fast at night because even with the brightest lights you might not catch an impediment that could cause a fall if you're going to fast. What light do you use? I really like this one amzn.to/2X2XwTy
Xiaomi or g30 goes 21? I am considering about these two and I am still not convinced to the g30, the main reason is the availability to flash xiaomi to 32 km/h. So it would be faster although the wheels size. I also have much bouncy sidewalks and hills... The range isn't much important
Just ordered one and it'll be here next week! I had a Hover One Alpha from Best Buy with a 2 year replacement warranty. Both times it broke in the exact same spot. Not even half of an inch of difference. The Hover One Alpha from Best Buy has a serious design flaw that almost got me killed be a passing truck. If anyone wants to know what broke I will explain. Geek Squad also would NOT replace my scooter after it broke the second time even though I used the thing as gentle as possible and could have been killed due to their faulty product. #screwGeeksquad
First I would like to say, thank you for all the work you have done to review these scooters. I am a big rider, running between 280 lbs and 310 lbs. I am 6'1" So I have a few questions: What is the weight of the rider, when performing the stopping distance test. The weight of the rider is going to affect stopping distance. Also How heavy do you think the rider can be without overloading it. Have you done a test where a 300 LB rider gets on and runs through the same tests. A heaver rider will severely affect battery range. So I would like to know how heavy, without having to buy a $1,000 + scooter. My commute is roughly 7 mi. one way.
Thanks for a great review and all the info I was looking for, the only detail missing is the weight of the rider which is a key factor in acceleration and range.
After a week research, I chose m365 pro.Price difference is like double but, specs like the same, maybe m365 is better with weight, acceleration, size, max speed and price.Except the max range and tire comfort and qulity.I have done 160km in 1 week, for me it was a right choise.
I’ve had one for a week and I’m ok with it ... it definitely is bigger than I expected (bought it without seeing it in real life) bit of remorse buying initially... but as I’ve been riding it I’ve come to like it more and more ..overall I think it’s worth the money but if I weighed less and was shorter I’d probably go something else
Looking to purchase a scooter in the near future. Is it necessary to get a full helmet like the one in this vid when riding? I read somewhere that the helmet you get depends on the speed of your scooter. Not 100% sure though.
Got this scooter couple days ago, but have a question: Can you charge the scooter with the integrated charger and an external brick at the same time? Does it charge faster then or the same?
I'd email Segway about questions like these. Since the scooter is relatively new, there's little info on the internet. Hell, I can't find a place for replacement tires yet. The contact info is on their website
Just wanted to say how informative your videos are! Yeah sure another scooter review is what I so ignorantly thought I was going to get out of your video, but instead I got a very information filled analysis of specs and personal reviews from a source I can actually watch, enjoy, and follow... THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK BROTHA!!! I still have yet to pull the trigger and buy one! (even during these times) I want one more than ever! I got around $600 and I'm soo confused! I really want pneumatic tires and a 500W.. My commute is about 2 miles away, and there's a few major hills! Ninebot max dont fold, Xiaomi. Mi365 has solid tires.. then I was thinking the Segway es4 with a 2nd battery ($600) but the second I go to buy it.... I find a flaw.. I know the Xiaomi is a favorite of a lot of people, I just wish it came with tubeless air filled tires. ...am I being too picky? I'm trying to think of safety and I really dont want to get a flat tire cause of how hard they are to fix....what to do???
It's a tank, that's all there is to it. Low, centered weight and over-engineered rigidity, this thing will get you where you are going, and you can't make it slide, and takes less effort to go smooth over speed bumps and down curbs, can even stay stable one handed going slow on cobblestone. Extremely practical urban mobility for semi-offroad urban environments.
I’ve had mine for over a year now and I’ve had only one issue. Had to replace the front wheel bearings they did last for over 1,000 miles. No issues other than that.
I had to leave mine with a friend, who seemed very skeptical about electric scooters, and a day later he tells me he wants it and will pay me and not search a buyer. It has such a big battery capacity that it's still capable below freezing, though about 2/3 capacity, it could use a heater to max the winter run, and rather than the .ush lever, a roller like I have seen, that isn't auto return, and the cruise control would be irrelevant. The other thing I would change is the motor, 300w is just a little weak in a hilly town. In it's balance, the weight is a too far forward which makes curb drops a little awkward sometimes. I love it, and my whistle is quite whet by this tank of a scooter. Can't wait to get another, and mod the f*k out of it.
With the brakes if you change the settings to strong for charging the battery when not pressing the throttle/in cruise control and the electric break will help you slow down faster however using the back brake so less worry of flipping and it gets just a little more mileage. (Probably another half mile per charge, not much just a little boost.)
Hi there from the UK, I have been looking at your database and been looking at the Xiaomi 365 pro but the max weight says 100kg everything else is suitable for me and my wife as we would be using these scooters for when we go camping in our touring caravan. Is this a given as I am 120kg male and the Xiaomi is quite easy to get here in the UK where as others are not. I can see the Inmotio nL9 would take my weight without a problem using your database but is that bit more expensive. I would go this route if you feel that it is not a good idea to buy a Xiaomi 365 pro
Yea, that little motor really does help get more range, but it is not very fun....more like my old 4Runner. Slow, stable, lasts forever -- not super fun to drive.

I guess I would still go for the M365Pro at just under $500 and if needed, by an extended battery pack for range if required. Also, with the M365Pro, a front coil/shock suspension can be added for under $80. IMO.
Mostly agree with you. Although the tires on the Max are bigger and provide a more comfortable ride + they should be less prone to flats. But the additional weight I don't love.
Hi chuck! :) the 30km range you've stated, was that in the Sports mode? I'm guessing it was.. But just wanted to make sure? Ive purchased/picked mine up yesterday afternoon 😁👌 so thank you for you're awesome reviews I love'em bud.
I would like to buy some good gloves for riding in the cold weather please I request to you to at least give me the the brand name that make those nice gloves that keep all that prevent cold air from entering I can hardly find good ones. Also I need an helmet like the ones you put on while riding an electric scooter , want to cover the whole head and the face nice but I'm wondering doesn't the moisture get into and blind me when I'm riding with the whole face covered? Thank you Mr. Chuck.
I've heard mixed reviews on the update - at first people were getting slower speeds - now they're happy with the update. Try checking with the Ninebot Max facebook groups or r/electricscooters subreddit.
I owned the original M365 but got rid of it then I got a flat back tire. I simply couldn't fix it - it was too hard to change with solid replace-tire. I gave up. Naturally I am very hesitant on buying a scooter with non-solid tires. I realize that this one has tubeless tires, making it less prone to punctures. But if I nevertheless get a flat tire - is it significantly easier to change? This issue is a deal-breaker for me.
My one looks exactly like this, idk what kind mine is cos i got it from my sister, but the back tire is flat and i don’t wanna take the whole back wheel apart and unplug the connections
Had mine since last August gets plenty of use absolutely love it. Have a Dualtron Thunder I bought a month later who’s is better for work commuting the road I travel being the issue but my ninebot gets a lot more regular use with the family.
Thank you for the great review. There are 3 options for me to buy in Istanbul. Xiaomi Pro, Ninebot Max and Inokim light-2. I am 200lbs and Istanbul is hilly. I have been favoring Ninebot Max and Inokim Light-2 however I feel like Xiaomi Pro performs just the same as Ninebot Max except for the range, which is not that important for me. What would your recommendation be among the 3?
Buy Ninebot. I`ve just returned Xiaomi Pro in favor of Ninebot. Prague is also very hilly. There is a steep hill to the place where I work, 5-6° incline. Im 100kg. Ninebot does this hill with speed of about 12-14km/m. Xiaomi Pro does it 4-5km/h. Ninebot Max is much more powerfull scooter, but it limited alot by software. But this gives it more longevity
The joints on those break so easy with freeze spray and a large hammer and rock chisel. Won a beer off my friend when I told him his lock was crap and broke it in 2 hits.
I am considering about these two and I am still not convinced to the g30, the main reason is the availability to flash xiaomi to 32 km/h. So it would be faster although the wheels size. I also have much bouncy sidewalks and hills... The range isn't much important. My weight is 72kg. Sometimes i would to ride with gf on back (+50kg). How it looks when it comes to acceleration on hills / +1 person on back, between these 2? I am about to buy one in next week, waiting for promo
I would definitely not put two people on a Xiaomi and climb a hill. The Ninebot Max G30 would be better for this, if you're going single-motor, but I still can't recommend riding with two people. (though we have certainly seen a number of people riding 2-up on the Max, and they were smiling) -Paul
Agree with you. While the Max has some new features, the most salient IMO are the tires. But if you're good with the size and quality of tires on the Pro, then stick with it - the Pro is a great scooter.
Ninebot max is better for hills. Just returned Xiomi Pro in favor of Ninebot max. Hill climb 5-6° over 500m. Ninebot Max does it 12-14km/h, Xiaomi Pro 4-5km/h. So with Xiaomi it just easier to walk with it.
Anyone know why you'd pay the extra 200 for this over the xiomi 365 pro 2? Seems like the brakes aren't as good, and there isn't much more in terms of top speed or range.
A question for anyone, please. A scooter 350 watt goes pretty good, my skateboard with smaller size hub motors 3000 watts. Is there a difference in torque between a scooter and skateboard motors and if so how much? i would like a scooter but if i need 3000 watts on my skate i dont quite understand.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks a lot for your Answer . I live In Denmark and it rains very often 😂 I will buy it tomorrow!!!! Ps: the model I will buy is the G30D 2: limited to 20 km/h, therefore legal in Denmark 🇩🇰
i have it for two weeks. ooo about the range.. 65k in theory. in reality more likely up to 55k mybe with 20kmh. and eco up to 60k maybe. so mybe tire are to wide for ninebot
Would you recommend the Levy with 2 batteries or the Ninebot Max? Levy Cons - not a great warranty compared to the Ninebot max. Ninebot max Cons - can't find where to buy replacement tires! Without this, the whole scooter is useless!
Emove is hit or miss but generally unreliable. Some people have good luck but even then there’s some issues before too long. Voro doesn’t stand behind the product and uses sketchy business practices. Ninebot Max will be much more reliable and have more parts available. You can even upgrade it with better suspension than the Emove and upgrade the battery to 48v for similar range and more speed. I plan to upgrade my battery once I get some good use out of the stock one.
He has got a point, if you watch the video back your talking about certain things and we as the viewer want to see what you are referring to, but in a lot of the shots it's not possible to see as the camera is too high, and attacking someone for critiquing the work is a bit childish, at the end of the day if you put something out in the public domain that is exactly what you would expect, and if it is a fair criticism then please accept it, learn from it and move on 👍🏻

I can get a 2nd hand( previously loved) Pro with 650km on the clock.... is that a lot?
What is normal or high for these type of scooters?
A good motorcyclist will tell you, in hard stopping the rear wheel contributes two tenths of fork all in the scheme of things.
Cool video I don’t think the max is better enough to make me upgrade from my pro
If you already have the Pro, stick with it - unless you are getting flats constantly.
I'm in the market for a scooter to get around at work downtown but there's hills. Does this scooter have enough power to go up fairly steep hills?
Burmese Python brought mine and absolutely love it flys up the hills u won’t have problems on hills and I weigh 13 stone !
Thanks for the video. Nice scooter, but not really enough of an upgrade from the M365 Pro if I’m honest. Just bought the Pro and am loving it! 🙂
Charles O'Brien that’s not honest them the m365 is a dog
what is the real range of the pro
It depends how you ride it and where. I’ve had 27km on sport mode - I weigh 91KG and it was a hilly journey.
Do you think that the Apollo air 2022 is better in terms of everything
Absolutely! It’s better.
Take a look on Kugoo M2 Pro...Cost a fraction of this one, but it has great shock absorbers, tubeless tires, triple break system...
Had mine since last August gets plenty of use absolutely love it. Have a Dualtron Thunder I bought a month later who’s is better for work commuting the road I travel being the issue but my ninebot gets a lot more regular use with the family.
hey some riders are telling that ninebot max speed is reducing 17.6 to 14. why is this happening or should i take ninebot max? pls reply
I just bought the same scooter , but when I turn front light on it doesn't dims LED display automatically. And I can't find any option in settings .
Your feet are not parallel which would be side by side, it's more in tandem, which would be one behind the other
Hi guys! Where can i buy lock security for this scooter? Because i need to exchange it to a new one, hope you’ll can help me, Thank you.
This is the lock I use for nearly every scooter. fluidfreeride.com/products/high-security-folding-lock-recommended-for-the-widewheel?ref=15
The joints on those break so easy with freeze spray and a large hammer and rock chisel.
Won a beer off my friend when I told him his lock was crap and broke it in 2 hits.
Great video. Still confused as to what I want. 🤨 The ninebot Max won't work with me because I'm 6ft 220 lbs. So that one I can cross out.
(though we have certainly seen a number of people riding 2-up on the Max, and they were smiling) -Paul
is it fine to get a few nic’s on the bottom here and there from higher concrete surfaces?
I think the weight of my M365 Pro is max already. I dont want it heavier.
Agree with you. While the Max has some new features, the most salient IMO are the tires. But if you're good with the size and quality of tires on the Pro, then stick with it - the Pro is a great scooter.
what is the real range of the pro
Which would be a better choice the max or the newer f40? Please someone reply🙏
Max is a great scooter! We have not tested the F40 yet!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you 🙏
Wath you recommend between this and a Xiaomi pro 4?
The Segway max to be honest! -Vosk
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks
Be nice if the person filming actually showed what you where talking about
Was thinking of getting the MAX, but the iphone app reviews scared me! Seems very buggy!
Gabriel Klappenbach there's 2 apps on the store. the smaller one is fine. the other crashed, so I removed it
What is faster and better on uphills m365 pro or ninebot max can you please answer?
Better walk
So what would you recommend for under $1000 for a 5ft 100lb girl who needs range?
Any review on a Joyer scooter?
Hey, is there any scooter you Can drive when it rains? Thanks
The Max is the best scooter we know of for rain. Here's a video we made about our favorite 5 :-)

Can you buy an extended battery?
Not for this scooter.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide ok. Thanks. Do you know if there will be some sort of hack to remove the speed limit?
no
@@rsstnnr76 nineflasher/xiaoflasher
how is it driving in side walks? with all the bumps going on
bata batuta in California, it is illegal for E-Scooters to ride on sidewalks. We share the road/bike lanes.
i have it for two weeks. ooo about the range.. 65k in theory. in reality more likely up to 55k mybe with 20kmh. and eco up to 60k maybe. so mybe tire are to wide for ninebot
I bought one I don’t know how to change speed from ECO to D and S ?
Would you recommend the Levy with 2 batteries or the Ninebot Max?
Levy Cons - not a great warranty compared to the Ninebot max.
Ninebot max Cons - can't find where to buy replacement tires! Without this, the whole scooter is useless!
Overpriced ? I got my Dualtron Mini for just 980. Which is less than 200 more !
New max g30, I only have a beeping sound and no Bluetooth logo so I don’t know how to connect! Any ideas?
Hi! How is your g30 max? How much mileage, how is it keeping up?
On the scooter itself it says 42 pounds, also online on ninebot.com it’s says it’s ipx7, on Segway.com it’s says ipx5, which one is right ?
could you test Hiboy S2 please
EMOVE cruiser or max?
definitely emove cruiser unless you care about looks
Emove is hit or miss but generally unreliable. Some people have good luck but even then there’s some issues before too long. Voro doesn’t stand behind the product and uses sketchy business practices. Ninebot Max will be much more reliable and have more parts available. You can even upgrade it with better suspension than the Emove and upgrade the battery to 48v for similar range and more speed. I plan to upgrade my battery once I get some good use out of the stock one.
The Camera work is awefull!
He wants to show something on the scooter and the cam is going to almost film the sky instead.
Your spelling is aweful

Electric Scooter Guide I think u should take people’s advice on ur videos not criticise them on the dam spelling!
He has got a point, if you watch the video back your talking about certain things and we as the viewer want to see what you are referring to, but in a lot of the shots it's not possible to see as the camera is too high, and attacking someone for critiquing the work is a bit childish, at the end of the day if you put something out in the public domain that is exactly what you would expect, and if it is a fair criticism then please accept it, learn from it and move on 👍🏻
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Sorry, English isn't my native language.
Chuck...Wondering why you haven’t reviewed the YADEA KS5 Pro. It has 10 maintenance free Solid tires, 500w 36v 15Ah battery, great customer support and just about everything the Ninebot Max and the Xiaomi 365 has for $100 cheaper on Amazon. Please check it out
Haven't ridden this one yet. I'll look into it. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Hey Paul...You guys are outstanding in your reviews, honesty, competence and stats. Please check the Yadea KS5 Pro (500wt rear moto). Sold on Amazon for $759-$60 off at checkout for a cost of $699. I bought the Hiboy S2 Pro a week earlier and had an issue getting up a certain hill I'm my neighborhood then I stumbled on the Yadea KS5 Pro, bought it and I made it up that hill. Both scooters have Apps and SOLID TIRES!
Just got it and got an error 21 without even running outside.
Does this one snap over medium bumps like the nine bot es3
no, thats why imma prolly get the max
How much is the top speed?
About 18 mph: electric-scooter.guide/reviews/segway-ninebot-max-review/
Seriously, did you actually watch the video, claiming 18mph actual 17.6mph!
I get 30kph plus. Not sure what that is in mph.
why rear wheel drive?
Any Stem Wobble?
Zero.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks Chuck. Your content is great. You are the Source. Very comprehensive and unbiased. Stay Safe. oNe LovE from NYC
Is it better then Apollo air pro
We would choose the Apollo air pro!
I would definitely check out the nanrobot x4 before this it’s faster and will get around 28 miles on one charge and is only about 500 bucks
40 miles slower speed with the ninebot max sounds better. You’re better off getting 1500$+ scooters. those ones have around 40miles+ and they go up to 40mph+
@@ogarrt at that point I could just buy a real motor scooter and not an electric one especially when going 15 to 18 mph is way too slow too get anywhere
@@ogarrt not to mention those 1500 dollar plus scooters weigh a ton in comparison too the smaller ones that have enough speed and not a crazy amount of miles I don't see many ppl driving 40 miles on a scooter ever
YOU NEED ANOTHER CAMERAMAN TO STAY ON POINT-

Older video but thanks for watching!
It goes 25km an hour like the pro?
It goes 29 kmh
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide that's better actually I'm to scares to hack my pro though but i wish it went abit faster
i have both the m365 has a little more take off power
It goes 30 kph plus. Mind you this is after I hacked it with the " Xiaomi Flasher" app and switched to US world locale. Before it was 25 kph tops.
thank you
Almost thought this was an Alien Rides video for a second when I saw you riding with that huge bike helmet on. lol
It seems Chuck favors Gotrax over the ninebot max. . hmmm I'm thinking gotrax pays him a little something. because seriously gotrax is complete garbage. the ninebot blows them out of the water in ever way
The biggest issue with this scooter is low speed!
I have that scooter I'm 10 years old
You goofy sob you didn't need to venture off on that trippy trail, u could have just said the brakes work well.
