Congratulations on your 14th Anniversary Steve! Thank you for your reviews & educated opinions. I purchased a second vehicle because of your review. Thanks again...
Believe it or not, whoever watches your videos in my family said that you and your videos are awesome. Even my 1 year old cousin and 84 years old grandpa amazed with your videos ( I mean the old ones, classic ones) so don't worry about views and likes, you are one of the best in this stuff. Keep doin' man, keep doin' what you love and will love Note: I'm from Turkey(we would be glad if you say it, spell it, write it like that; Turkiye)
Honestly, you have one of the most quality review channels on here. When I was looking into buying a new Ram truck I came here first, because you take the time to analyze and present what people want to know about these vehicles. Thanks very much and please don't change anything, keep up the great work!
Steve, I must say I watch all the car reviews you usually do and frankly do it your way. That's the reason why I watch your videos because the effort you out in your videos. Not like these other guys!
I'm a 6' 4" 2007 Buick Lucerne CX owner who is very pleased after over 109,000 miles. I enjoyed your You Tube review of the 2012 Buick Lacrosse E-Assist. This will likely be my choice of a pre-owned car for a second car in a few years to come. Comfort and economy are my key priorities.
I honestly don't know why you don't get more views. Out of the 5 or 6 car review channels i'm subbed to I always enjoy yours. They aren't to long and they tell me everything I want to know about the car.
i enjoyed this review mostly because it brought out your personality a lot more than your other videos. however i agree with the others, your usual video format is better, since it looks more professional and informative. congrats on the 14th anniversary!
Love the reviews you give Steve and look forward to watching for new uploads. The fact that you have put more time and effort into your videos just makes them that much better to watch. Maybe to save some stress for yourself you could rethink your reviewing tactics, but if you dont have to i wouldnt. Im sure there are many people out there that love your videos just as much as i do. keep up the good work.
Dear Steve, please don't change the way you do your reviews. I watched you since you were on Roadfly tv. I found your reviews to be very unique and interesting. When I saw your chrysler 300 SRT8 review I considered buying one, and your review was the only professional review on RUclips. Also, I liked how you take turns very aggressively.Keep up the good work & Happy 14th Anniversary.
I tend to think that repeat viewers of your videos are fans specifically because you avoid this particular format for reviewing vehicles. That you don't get more views is a mystery to me, since I find that you pack more information and production value into your videos than anyone else on RUclips. Congratulations on 14 years of Drive Time, and also thank you for being the best car reviewer RUclips has ever seen. Don't worry about the page views, your fans know where the real quality is.
To be brutally honest, I found this more watchable than your usual reviews. In your normal reviews, I often find your voice a bit overpowering, but in this, your much more relaxed and we get to see more of the car. I can never get over the fact that I think the Buick badge looks like something off a cheap 90s far Eastern car. Do love the interior though and those lights definatly have a look of BMW to them.
I prefer your usual style of reviews. I find that people who do this style don't really review the car, they just give a tour of the vehicle. Your style provides your opinion and the downs and ups of the vehicle which is what I consider a review to be.
No doubt I prefer your regular reviews far more than this type, though I have to admit I sometimes wish for a mix in your normal reviews of a bit of the driving experience combined with a lot of the normal professional shots. Keep up the great work Steve.
I love your car videos Steve. Whenever I am interested in a new car I come here first. I really do wish you had way more views. However, I really, really enjoyed this video. It was good to see you unfiltered say what you think about the car. The fact that you could just talk about the car without a script was really nice. Also, it's good to see behind the scenes as well. Keep up the great work! I'd love to see another video of this type eventually.
The attraction to the walkaround videos is that they provide a more intimate view of the car, and this includes the later half of your review. Maybe if you add a quick inside-and-out walkaround of the car to your traditionally professional review style it would be the best combination.
I, like many others, prefer your normal reviews to this one. However, it's nice to see you in person, as opposed to listening to you narrate. I also like how you pointed out the fun little details of the car in this video. Try to incorporate more of those two things in your future videos. Keep up the good work! -Travis
Thanks for the videos Steve, and congratulations! :D If you had to chose between BT Audio, Hard Drive Music, or well sorted iPod integration, which would you prefer? Me, I much prefer 'proper' iPod integration. The HU in my Evo X does a pretty darn good job, it's MUCH better than the woeful system in my friends Lexus IS250C! I've used BT Audio with an aftermarket HU (Eclipse) and found the quality to be 'ok', but found it drained the battery quicker.
While I do like fancy driving shots from time to time..I find that these style reviews actually give an in-depth review as if you were the OWNER of the car, and not OBSERVING it from a pedestrian's point of view. Always enjoyed Steve's reviews no matter what, but I dont mind this type review at all
Somehow I missed seeing this video at the beginning of the year. I don't miss a Drive Time review as you know Steve and RUclips just recommended this one to me, randomly here in Dec 2012. I would like to echo here what I have said many times. Your reviews are well written, edited and produced and are broadcast quality. The work that your "colleagues" publish on RUclips is rarely if ever as good. Tom Volk's "Driven" is excellent and he does the same kind of work as you. Thank you for the quality.
Steve, I am not sure if this was the best decision. It was the biggest let down to see that you had posted a video 24 min long just to find out you didn't follow the format I learned to love (read: to become addicted...smiles). There may be lots of guys out there, but you and TOM VOELK are the only ones I go to any lengths of trouble to watch. Don't let the numbers upset you. You right, you have quality over quantity. Wishing you all the best on your 14th.
Steve, I'm a relatively new viewer to your reviews and I really enjoyed today's review. A little different than usual, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Your reviews are certainly some of the best on RUclips, if not the internet as a whole. I look forward to watching more reviews from you! *regardless of the style they are shot in* :)
Yeaaaaaaaaaah, how about we keep the reviews the way they were. Love your reviews... it's a shame that it isn't growing as quickly as you'd like it to but don't forget steve... quality over quantitiy!
Love the review...you were very funny..will continue to watch...i'm excited everytime i get an email...just hoping itsa new review...thanks and keep up the good work!
Steve, I liked this video because I got to know you better. Thanks for connecting with me. Also, no harm in emulating the camera angle your colleges use. I liked it!
nice steve ! i know you are probably getting mixed responses but for me this style is superior because i feel more connected to the car for some reason.. its just a better feeling you should do this more often
@davewhodavedunn I'm really not out to bash other people's work. I truly wasn't trying to do that. Everyone is different and I respect that. I just got out of bed today and didn't feel like working...and this is what came out.
the good thing about these kind of videos is that it shows the personality of the reviewer. its good to see the real steve outside of his professional videos for some time ^^. If I can give you advice on your car videos. I would wish i fyou sit on rear seats and 3rd row seats, just to show us what kind of room we can expect in them. thak you =)
hello Steven i always keep on check out your channel for new videos and i really love to watch them to be honest your style is knowledgeable and unique and different in good way i really enjoy watching your reviews maybe the different thing with others . is that they don't concentrate on the latest models only in which reviewing used cars attract used cars buyers i think this the only thing is going to increase more viewers keep the your activity because we like it
First, I enjoy your reviews because they are different than everyone else's with a FlipCam. As much as I like seeing features of a car through SaabKyle04's channel, his reviews lack true driving impressions as well as those that one can only get through living with a car for a week like you do! Keep on trucking, Steve!
Steve, you are fantastic! Time to go spread the gospel of Steve! I'm still loving my Mazda 3, and your video influenced my purchase. Thanks for all you do!
Please, please, please do not change your style!!! What you just said about the other reviewers is so very true! And it frustrates the heck out of me that all they do is film themselves? I tune in to look at the car,not them?! So Steve, please keep your style of filming and review, O.K.
Absolutely hilarious Steve! But please dont change a thing with your reviews which are the best in the biz! Happy 14th anniversary to you! Hopefully your wife got you a present and maybe a nice dinner out!!
i love the way you used to do vids. the first vid i saw of yours as the 05 pontiac g6 gt. it made me ant the car and now i have it. in other words, you make ALL cars look good. please dont change just to get a couple more thousand vews.
A lot of the other people doing videos have built their hobbys into businesses where they film cars for dealerships to put on dealer web sites. They are making good money. Others are salesmen or managers of dealer web sites and do this to either to sell more cars or as part of running the web site. Many have gotten pretty good at this with fan bases of hundreds or thousands. The additional money from youtube is just gravy. More people watch than some cable tv shows.
I wish you would have done the Burger King drive through, but I digress. Your rant was spot on. Some of these reviewers need a good dose of "perspective" with their hygroscopic nuclei. Buy yourself a celebratory pint!
@crimsoninred I'll be honest. I've seen some of these types but I couldn't name a one of them. That's cool. I'm not trying to put anyone down...they should do what works for them.
I do agree with you. This type of review is quite boring and that's also the reason I used to watch your reviews. I hope you won't change your review type. Anyway congratulations on the 14th anniversary.
@stevehammes Just a little :) I'm a long time fan though, and consider you to produce reviews that are every bit as good as MotorWeek, for example. Thumbs up if you feel Steve deserves a promotion/raise!
I gotta stop leaving so many comments but BTW ... I think you do true car REVIEWS but the other guys do car tours idk if I'm making any sense but still ...
@memomota It's not about getting more RUclips views...I'm in this primarily for TV. I'm just surprised sometimes to see what others find interesting and informative.
don't concern yourself with video views. People who watch your videos do so because of the quality of your work. Steve. No need to explain. I realize you are not trying to bash them, but viewers SHOULD!!!! Roman whatever his review name is, is just awful! I post comments every video telling him how bad his reviews are. You gotta realize you got the best job in the world with smart ppl watching and that is all that matters. The other guys come and go but your still here and there is a reason for that. The love for cars and your fans. Keep your head up and foot on the gas and blow by the losers making the c
@khunopie I watched a car review on RUclips once where the test-driver went through a fast-food drive-thru. I decided to pay homage to that but at the car wash instead ;-)
@stevehammes actually in all fairness the channel I pointed you to does reviews that are not quite this "rogue". But check it out anyways I guess, that's where I watch reviews on European cars.

I encourage others to write on the other guys half assed videos! Let them know they are awful, they have no passion, no enthusiasm and refer ppl right back to steves youtube page.
it's a different perspective that I enjoy (such as saabkyle04's videos), as well as your usual video format...but honestly I really didn't appreciate your sarcasm.
I have a 99 buick that I've had for about 7 years now and I just purchased this 2012 buick Lacrosse. I love buick and I'm 27 years old. I am excited.
Nice! LaCrosse is a great cruiser.
Congratulations on your 14th Anniversary Steve! Thank you for your reviews & educated opinions. I purchased a second vehicle because of your review. Thanks again...
Steve your reviews are among the best out there, regardless of view counts. Keep doing what you're doing.

Your work is much appreciated and your professional manner of shooting car reviews is starting to become a dying breed. Thanks for all your hard work.
The fact that this video has almost 10,000 views is amazing! And hey, we're over 10 million for RUclips alone so I guess things are OK.
Comfort and economy are my key priorities.

so nice to know i'm not the only one who calls out cars when they go by. lol. congrats Steve. I'm a huge fan.
Your own reviews are much much better, I look forward to each review you do please continue in your own style!
"The orange cable means don't bite me." Great video it was very funny and enjoyable, it certainly made my day better.

"Gerrymandered up". This guy certainly has the best vocabulary of any reviewer I have watched!

Your videos are PRO, Steve. Don't change a thing.
Your personality is awesome and ya knowledge and insight on cars is a true value enter change what u do keep em coming
Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!

Keep the way your videos are they are wonderful and informative

@chris850t Woke up and decided to have some fun with you guys today.
@flake21 That's an EXCELLENT point about the badging.
Great video, it's nice to see the human side of car reviewers. I'm surprised by the interior quality, it had more style than some BMW's!!!
Simply hilarious. I can't believe I watched all 23 minutes of it.
I wish you would have done the Burger King drive through, but I digress. Your rant was spot on. Some of these reviewers need a good dose of "perspective" with their hygroscopic nuclei. Buy yourself a celebratory pint!
Dude.....I have watched most of your reviews......you are awesome. Funny review :-)
I actually really liked this, watched all 25 minutes!!!!!!
@Arlind22 Thanks! Just having some fun today.
Keep your format. I don't watch the stupid vids of a persons face driving. I like what you do. Keep it up
@vwmatt33 Thank you, sir! Glad you get the humor.
COMBINE BOTH STYLES STEVE! KEEP YOUR GREAT JOB!!
you get distracted by old Camaros! :P
Love your reviews, and hopefully you keep up your style, because we all like it! :)
@crimsoninred I'll be honest. I've seen some of these types but I couldn't name a one of them. That's cool. I'm not trying to put anyone down...they should do what works for them.

@LeadHammer Perhaps I'll blow up a car next time. The manufacturer may be upset when they come to retrieve the vehicle but it'll go viral!
I like this review you did. Its a nice change up.
This a spot on review I have the 2015 version but you get out of topic a lot
I hate the jerkiness of the eassist it’s so annoying
Nice parody on reviewers like Saabkyle04. I personally enjoy the laid back not over produced videos.
I gotta stop leaving so many comments but BTW ... I think you do true car REVIEWS but the other guys do car tours idk if I'm making any sense but still ...
Your reviews are great. Dont change a thing :)
@memomota It's not about getting more RUclips views...I'm in this primarily for TV. I'm just surprised sometimes to see what others find interesting and informative.
don't concern yourself with video views. People who watch your videos do so because of the quality of your work. I like this type of review, as well as the other style, maybe you should do a mix of both.
@RightFootPassionate Thanks!
@stevehammes steve are you by chance referring to someone in particular? I recommend checking out a channel from the UK called carbuyer...the reviewer (matt watson) is fantastic and he does it in the fashion you describe. Also I am sure you have seen Top Gear and they do that as well. Granted there is more editing into it but sometimes it is really interesting to see you driving and reviewing along with the rest of you fantastic techniques. But I love your reviews! They are really informative!!!
I decided to pay homage to that but at the car wash instead ;-)
i prefer your personal style but i think you can do this kind of review now and then! btw congrats to you steve.
Interesting Video still got your opinion but in a different way and sometimes change is good. As always great review.
@stevehammes actually in all fairness the channel I pointed you to does reviews that are not quite this "rogue". But check it out anyways I guess, that's where I watch reviews on European cars.
your style is the best... the hell with those others lackluster guys
Steve, when will you have the review in "normal" mode?
@Slimecrazy234 I think some aspect of this will be incorporated going forward.
not bad, i like the "free form" review.
@CarKnowledge I think you're right.
Answer Steve's question as honest as you can at 7:51, then pause the video immediately. Just for fun, I'm going to call this pop quiz question "The Ultimate Steve Hammes Car Wash Quiz." (He'll tell you the answer at 7:54 if you didn't get right.)
You do a good job Steve!!!!
I like the old format a lot more IMO
@stevehammes I do like the sarcasm though. More of that in the next videos XD
Is this the V6 Touring model of the car?
You're an awesome reviewer
Hahahahaha don't bite me hahahahaha
