Thanks for the upload. Deep Purple are the best I've heard them for years. Simon McBride has kick started this band with all band members upping their game since he joined. They've gone from semi retired going through the motions to full on rocking. Brilliant.
We'll have to disagree on that. DP's full on rocking tour will no doubt be followed by another album after the success of =1 according to Simon McBride.
Actually I like it. I feel like I’m in my seat watching the show. Interesting to see the mass exodus after Smoke is played. By the time the show ended, the parking lot exit lines were short. Brilliant move by Purple for the diehard fans.
I had to mute the audio for Highway Star, because the song has a copyright block on RUclips. The audio for the rest of the show is there. Skip to 7:41.
It's really hard to listen to Gillan when his voice is just a shadow of what it was. His voice was an amazing spectacle and the fact he literally cannot do anything he once did is just sad and hard to watch. Obviously no one is expecting Child in Time like it's 1970 but even Halford will go for the occasional old school screams and although it's not effortless like it was in 1980, he still pulls it off now and then. Gillan? Bro, just stop. And that is coming from someone who lost sleep with excitement as a teen over him singing for Sabbath and then resurrecting DP with Perfect Strangers.
This is a 40+ years long issue. Even before Sabbath. The last years of Gillan were rough. It shows that eating pussy (Rockstar movie reference) doesn’t preserve the silver throated screaming. We fans have come to tolerate his decline, but I guess you’re a straggler. His lyrics and wit are in tact.
@@BoleslawDeepPurple Yeah I never followed Gillan much so I'm not aware of that. He still sounded cool in Sabbath and when I saw him in 85 he was pulling off the Child in Time stuff pretty well on the Perfect Strangers tour. Not like 1970 but still pretty good. Now it's like bro, please. Stop. There is a reason Plant said 'enough' with the Zeppelin stuff after 2007. It's all good though. He's a damn legend.
Gillan lived hard and he never learned how to protect his vocal cords. I suspect he prefers living hard than to pass up that lifestyle to keep his gift intact. There would have never be the lyrics for Trashed had he chose otherwise.
He’s 79. He has the old man gate. You will too at that age. So there’s no reason to complain. His voice is still enjoyable on many Purple songs. Although the gargling instead of screaming needs to stop. I’d rather hear him whistle in those spots. 😗 As long as people show up, they are not quitting. Touring is all they know how to do.

Due to a worldwide copyright block on Highway Star, I had to mute the audio to publish the video. Send your complaints to DP management.
Why is HS of all songs blocked?
I know. It doesn’t make any sense.
I was there in the back rows. This is amazing footage, thanks for posting!

Yet another brilliant renewal of DP. brilliant album and the songs sound great live. Absolutely brilliant.
At 79 Gillan can still deliver a good “Into the Fire” shriek 🤯
Thank You!!!

They were already on the top of their game. But the decline from prior years is noticeable. This is the end. Not a resurgence.

I was there amazing
Me too
🤟😎🖤
A band needs to do a "Greatest Hits" with a few "Fan Favorites" and 2-3 new songs when touring a new album...
I’m a casual fan. Not familiar with the set list. Why no material from the 80s albums.
It was a snoozer for the casual fan. Too much soloing. Not a lot of energy. I saw people falling asleep.
What a bad shot with people walking through the frame every few seconds!
Why people can't get to there seats before the show starts really pisses me off. I can't watch this.

Highway star is a great song , but Ian can't do it justice , same with hard lovin man, screeching his way through is not dignified.
Why isn't the sound playing?

😂😂😅😅😅 Please stop
It's just awful. They needed to leave on time.
IAN SLOW MOTION THERES JUST THE TIME TO CALL IT QUITS

Got to agree, his vocals are the best I've heard from him in a few years and are great on When a Blind Man Cries.
