But didn’t the job market grow this year
I was laid off in 2023 by Microsoft. Finding a new job was rough. I recently posted a new video on things that have worked for me and things that have not worked for me
Trying to find people to network with in my industry in my location. If I knew people around here, then it would be a snap to find a job because we don't use all these fancy systems. We are behind times. but also, behind in job titles. I am a UX designer, and there are hardly any here.
This was very helpful and informative! Thank you so much!
So glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching. What job search hurdle have you faced recently?
@@ProfessorHeatherAustin I have been applying for graphic design roles and have been getting rejected constantly which on job search hurdles that I have faced recently and the company Boston Symphony Orchestra. Not giving up and still applying!
This is ridiculous. I have 4 degrees that are flexible and that was planned on purpose, to remain competetive, and one degree in the wings, plus experience and all I could land between november to now was a 3 month temp gig scoring exams!!?? At twnety bucks an hour. Not ungreatful for the job, I'm just sharing the job market. Also I submit an application in the afternoon and get rejected by the AI by midnight? What!!?? This is a commercial and taking advantage of people.
It's gotten to the point where one is better off ignoring most of these surprise recruiters that are increasingly asking for highly inappropriate personal info like the last 4 digits of your SSN - report those if you can.
so basically you have to be a unicorn with an advanced degree open availability, have master level skill all while be willing to accept low pay. this is insane
Nothing but fluff and shout outs to her other videos
Sorry you feel that way. Thanks for watching.
I am giving up😢
Hang in there. I just got an official offer and guess what? My old director who's with a new company reached out to me about setting up a new role in my territory. And other recruiters have been hounding me too all of a sudden. When it rains it pours.
I am, too.
Typical algorithm video that starts with advice and ends promoting books, toolkits to sell you a dream
I have had 5 different jobs in the last 10 years now so my resume fits better on 2 pages. Is a 2 pages resume acceptable, or will it be rejected if it's more than 1 page?
Most likely rejected because they only want your last 5 to 6 past jobs unless you worked their 10 years straight.
That's just nonsense. The more you made in life the worse?
Looking forward to the day when AI replaces CEO and boards of directors, and their beyond inflated salaries.
HR and recruiters are a bunch of clowns
Hundreds of millions of American applicants vs billions of Global applicants to America 😞😞
everyone is keeping there job the economy is not fair,
Life is not fair grow up and get over it.
@@blacklyfe5543 Why should people have to get over it? Fight the system, that's the best way to deal with it.
@ChildrensRightsFirst947 you can't fight the system and because I said so
This seriously sounds exhausting
Wow....all this added complexity is really unessusary.
Lol! So sorry you feel this way. Are you currently in the job search? What type of position are you looking for?
All this has been going on for 15+ years. Nothing new.
Thanks a lot Charli Walton of Marriott hotels for black listing me for eternity.
I need job NZ
You don't get a job cause no one is hiring at the first place. Nothing has to do with correcting resumes.😂
World is changing. Utilizing AI and other technologies is a wonderful idea.
I totally agree! Thanks for sharing.
Gave no actual info. Dislike
i love America
👍
Thanks for watching!
Suddenly, none of your skills and qualifications are no longer valid but you got a job before where you were successful in your role. That is ridiculous!
This is a great channel full of realistic ideas and strategies for job, corporate industry and IT/software growth. I am a SAP Basis HANA consultant by profession. You have just won yourself a new subscriber 😂.
thank you so much, I love your accent and energy.
the economy is doing great.
Hi there! Thanks for watching. Yes, I agree. There are certain sectors of the economy doing great and in general, the job market is still hot. However, there are a lot of sectors that are not doing as well. What industry are you currently in?
@@ProfessorHeatherAustin CPA currently doing work for a mass transit system in a major metropolitan area.
@Fadexd888 not if you can't write a coherent response.
