    Hey, did you just tap the block for the oil feed? Or do you have to install the oil pump from the turbo Model as well? Thanks love the build

      Yes i tapped oil feed, didnt add extra oil pump because i raised turbo high enough, didnt need extra pump ;)

    what did you do to the carbs? I figure that is a blow-through-setup that you have there? I thought of doing that too, but the sealing of carbs proved to be a pain in the neck so I ended up building a draw-through-setup instead. I think I'll copy your build to my next project : D

      I bought intake and exhaust manifold from stock yamaha xj turbo. I also changed exhaust pipes from xj turbo... Fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and ect ;)

    I'm doing this exact same build to a 1982 xj 650 Seca. Would you mind helping me with a bit of information? I like the turbo location btw. Definitely planning to emulate that on mine.Do you have a parts list? What is the part attached to the carburetor you had brackets for?How did you support the turbo?That gas tank... from a previous comment you used the original? Mine looks like trash. How did you get it to look like that?Is that the original turbo? Did you modify the bike to run higher boost?Man, I could go on and on. Any help is much appreciated.

      Hello, this is a lot of info and will not put everything on 1 reply ;) used vz21 turbo. used yamaha xj turbo pipes and exhaust manifold 4in1 from yamaha turbo. Also bought intake manifold from yamaha xj 650 turbo. Just welded flange and exhaust.pipe on my own. I put turbo under the seat because there is no second oil pump in stock seca engine to return oil from turbo to oil pan if you place turbo in original yamaha xj turbo place. Oil feed drilled hole in the engine block in the same place as in turbo model ;) my stock engine 37kw I just wanted to test if its working perfectly. I plan to put yamaha xj900 engine, r1 forks and ect on my next step :)

    Hey Donatas, I am currently building something very similar to this I also had the idea to buy the turbo intake manifold and use it on the NA engine. I just have a couple questions. Did you have to modify the carbs other than biggger jet sizes? Also could you explain how you ran your fuel pump and regulator setup? If you could help me out I would that would be so amazing. Also your oil feed is a great idea too. I was going to run a fitting off the oil galley allen head screw on the side but your way is much cleaner looking.

      hi, I placed yamaha xj seca turbo intake manifold, then bought high pressure fuel regulator and changed to weaker spring because fuel pressure is not high. I tested fyel air mixture on dyno so there was stock 115 main jet and it was very rich. I installed 110 main jet and in about 4k rpm its 11:1 so I will change in 107.5 main jet ;) without dyno imposible to regulate mixture perfectly.

      I also left stock carb, but removed choke cable and fixed it on butterfly valve, because on my hitachi carbs choke opens fuel and air at the same time and with fuel pump on all system floods with fuel :) it was fail to figure out this problem. On cold start I turn off fuel pump and start the engine, after ignition I turn on fuel pump. On hot engine you dont need choke at all ;)

      You are the best. That is super helpful. One more thing ha. For your oil feed line, is the silver part a check valve or filter? If it’s a check valve, how come? Also did you have to run a check valve or something because your fuel return is on the bottom of the tank?

    • @meskutunas
      @meskutunas  6 лет назад

      @@streetballn23 silver one is oil feed check valve, I put in in the line because in the oil feed fixing place it wont fit. I placed turbo on the bottom because I didnt want to install additional oil pump. oil return line is going 45 degree to the oil pan. You dont need check valve for return line.

      my europe stock engine 37kw not rebuild yet 67000km. on dyno its 50hp to wheel right now, but I need to lean mixture with main jet a little bit... 37kw is engine power not wheel power :)
