this guy needs more subs for the kind of content he's releasing. i just got this pedal and a another behringer pedal, the uc200. a recommendation to make the video look nicer, a light above or behind your head👍
I own the OD300, UM300, HD300, and HM300. This pedal is very good bang for the buck. It's like getting two pedals in one and being able to blend back and forth. Besides that dirt pedal my other favorite is the UM300 with the sweepable mid control. I own like 30 Behringer pedals and I love them all.
I was expecting good value from Behringer but I didn't expect it to be THIS good! I want to try the UO300 next, I think it just made the short list for future purchases lol
I love to boost my quite expensive mxr 5050 overdrive with the very unique EQ of the very cheap UM300(no dist)... It makes every overdrive tight and metal as f***... Love it...🤘🏻
This isn't one of the ones I have, but I can tell anyone that the price/quality-usability ratio of most of these Behringer stomps is kind of outrageous. I'm lucky enough to have their copy of the Roland bass synth pedal, which they strangely have discontinued, last I czeched out their site. Their "two fuzz pedals in one" pedal, their Sansamp "three amp sims" pedal copy, their Heavy Metal copy...imo the HM pedal is more of a hard fuzz than a metal distortion per se, but nothing wrong with that... the Warp distortion, and the one i bought recently, their vibrato pedal, are all totally great. The other Behringer stomps, ive had those for over 10 years, and they're still 100% fine. The thin plastic chassis seems scary delicate, but as long as you dont go all Pete Townsend/Sybil on them, their build quality is quite adequate for home studio purposes. Maybe someone who has an actual band who plays actual gigs, their mileage may vary. Thanks for posting, it was a good demo.
To be honest, I'm not super well versed on Metallica's gear or emulating their tone. This thing does have a nice wide variety of tones though so I'm sure you could dial in something close
If you want to play Metallica songs, I heavily HEAVILY recommend the Behringer Ultra Metal pedal, it’s amazing and definitely one of my favourites, the best part is that you can fiddle with the mids and highs, which means you can really get into metallicas tone, trust me you’ll never look back
It depends on what you're looking for out of a DS-1. If what you want is a good budget distortion, I think that this thing has a wider variety of tones to choose from and can probably help you get a more personalized sound. If you're looking for a specifically DS1 tone, I'd stick with the original they're still only like 40 bucks used compared to this Behringer at 30 dollars new Personally I stick with the DS1 on my bass pedalboard because I like the sound of it on a bass with the gain all the way up and the tone all the way down. On my guitar rigs, I stick with something more variable like this Behringer.
@@junc_musik something that could sound as close as Kurt Cobain's tone. That's what I'm looking for. Ik there two behringer pedals that copy Ds 1 and Ds 2 but aren't produced anymore and nobody is selling them in my country. This pedal is my only hope Edit: I'm from Romania, 30-40 dollars in my country is A LOT
@@MementoMoriOfficiall understood. The Donner Extreme Driver might be a little bit closer to a DS1 than this pedal is, and goes on sale sometimes for like 20 bucks but I'm not sure if that one is available to you. If not, then yes I think that you could dial in a pretty good Cobain distortion with this Behringer

Thank you! I am working to improve my video quality bit by bit, and some new lights are certainly a high priority

This pedal sounds great. gonna have to check it out
It's a great value for 30 bucks too!
mine’s not working, i’ve changed the battery but it’s still not working at all
good review but you didn't max out the distortion😔😆👍
would this be good for playing Metallica songs like enter sandman?

Hola, tengo ese pedal y lo disfruto mucho para mi gusta suena muy lindo, ¿qué tanta diferencia hay entre este pedal y el To800?
I think that the TO800 is less versatile, but does the tubescreamer tone better than this pedal. OD300 does variety, TO800 does one thing well.
Can it be used as an alt to boss ds-1?

@@junc_musik thanks A LOT ur a money and lifesaver
this is flat-out distortion, nothing 'overdrive' about. has that certain deep sound to it that is reminiscent of grunge-rock like nirvana
So can it be used as an alt to boss ds-1?
