OP I feel obligated to warn you about your wiring jobs around @36:00. I complement you on their very neat appearance, they look splendid, indeed! It is true the shrink wrap helps to hold the connections, and they will hold for a short while, probably. But you know you have to use solder or something close to it because those naked connections will vibrate loose in no time.
Everybody hates soldering, IDK anybody that likes doing it, but there are alternatives, the cold kind, there's a soldering paste you smear on the connection then bubble it with your lighter. And there is some rubbery stuffin a can called Liquid wire or something, just brush this gluey stuff on your connection and let dry
I wouldn't want to drive the car w even one connection that doesn't have solder on it, you don't either!

Hey there.. the heat shrink has glue and I protected the bare wire area with wire tape. This info should be in the video.
I have the solder paste and other equipment. Things is, yes, you're correct. It takes longer, and that's what turned me off from ultimately soldering the wire. However what I think you didn't notice was that the wires are braced with wire tape, the insulation cover this though. I can promise this will last 20 more years no issue.
To add, I'd did this because the flex. The solder will have a knot at the contacts which will limit flex, twist method will allow better movement "if need be".

@@partsshooter Good stuff, I never imagined the shrink tube helps hold a wiring connection, always seemed to me the least looseness in wiring connections and they either make uneven voltage to the device or just act completely dead. Whatever works, after all!

@robertmaybeth3434 twist method, they're tied together boot laid next to each other.
I've torn into wiring harness and. Factory junctions are tied in without solder.
Just think of my method like a string knot together at the end, with a staw tightly wrapping, glue in the center and tape to brace.

@@partsshooter The harness had issues then I got it to run but it ran horrible. The VVt-i harness was broken also the solenoid was damaged. Swapped the solenoid out and did what I can to repair the harness. Up and running now. Works really well now. Thanks for the videos

lol their dirty mitts! Only thing worse than some unskilled fool botching a fairly complicated repair job is being the guy that has to try to fix it all
