@44:50 Jen has 5 money and 3 ore. @45:17 Jen pays 2 money but then has the money marker move down an additional buck as it rides on top of the ore marker. @45:38 when the action is rolled back, Jen only has 4 money instead of 5. This means, later, she only needs 1 buck to get to 6 instead of needing 2.
I believe you have to spend 1 VP (victory point) less for power cycle when somebody builds next to you. For example: LV 2 building - you spend 1 VP and get 2 power cycles.
I think you might have missed a rule for the yellow player Gleens, at 32:44. Rulebook says they use Ore not QIC for habitating Gaia planets. Thus, im not really sure you really need to rush the Academy for them at all to start getting QIC's and Gaia planets because they cant use QIC's for anything except navigation boost. Regardless, I really appreciate the video, really helped me learn the game
Late reaction, since I can buy Gaia very cheap now (1/3rd of MRSP). At 3'00" Jen uses a free action to exchange 3 power into 1 ore. She has 3 power in area II en 3 power in area III, so after the exchange she has 3 power in area I and 3 power in area II. Then at 3'30" she activates her technology tile to cycle 4 power: 3 from area I to area II and 1 from area II to area III. Couldn't she first use the tech to cycle 3 power from area II to area III, and forfait the 4th cycle? Then she has 6 power in area III to gain 2 ore immediately, because you can use this exchange "unlimited" times during your turn. Hence, first cycle 3 power and forfait one, then exchange 6 power into 2 ore.
In the last video Jen paid to much for her Trade station, so she would have been able to build the academy. She could also have used her shuffle political powers before useing them, and had all six usable, and through that gotten more options.
2:59 If he used the cycle power action first and only then used the free action he would have had 6 power in the 3rd stage so he could have changed 6 power into 2 ore
I saw this had a complexity rating of 4.30/5 on BoardGameGeek, and watching him play through it, and even making the little mistakes, I sure as hell believe that rating
Due to a "huge" (on human terms) time distortion, just tuning into your channel now, taking in the backlog and, well, oops: we may need to introduce some Vulcan subsubtitles for goofs in the Klingon subtitles. :-D There is a typo @0:24: _... you place an action disc on it to say it was activated and you do the action, you _*_can_*_ use it anymore..._ . Contextually understood to be *can not* , of course, but leaving this unmentioned would be dishonorable to Klingons (actually, it is probably more dishonorable for me to point this out over two years later, but, being of Vulcan blood myself, mentioning the error is imperative.)
there's klingon subs on all my runthoughs, though unfortunately on older videos i don't tell people to turn them on because back then i was still using the (no discontinued) annotation system...
@@rahdo I guess I didn't make myself understood: In the Klingon subtitles for this video there is the typo I mentioned above. No sense changing it at this point. I was just a little amused at the idea of having Vulcan subsubtiltes to correct any errors there may be in the Klingon subtitles which correct any errors in the original material.
Too many mistakes in gameplay... :( and stop repeating everything over and over again! It’s so boring and annoying to hear again and again same sentence said in different way
also boring and annoying to hear... random strangers on the internet who could just as easily go watch another channel, and yet they decide to insult me instead. good times!
Done. Thumb down. But not for Rahdo. His channel is my go-to for runthroughs. It's not meant to be a dedicated rules explanation. His enthusiasm for gaming more than compensates his flawed runthroughs. :)
@8:25 and 12:05 19:45 the „crazy range“ is a one time use (it‘s an action space and gets covered)
noted... thanks
You play-throughs are always brilliant. Thank you for taking the time to make them mate :)
10:00 - Jen should have taken a tech tile after getting the academy
noted... thanks

At ~2:58, if Jen had used her "Charge 4" tech *first*, she would have had 6 power in her III pool - enough for 2 x 3 Power --> 1 Ore conversions.
17:20 You forgot about the get rid of power to cycle the same amount of power. So you could have easily gotten the needed power to get the ore! :)

20:50 Using a QIC gives +2 range= 3 total.

For the action tiles not chosen, do they get some income to make the tile more attractive to use?
The round bonus tiles ? No they don't.

You gonna move yellow :D

@@ObviouslyCrap oh whoo's, i didn't hit the 'read more' to see the 2nd second sentence. thanks for the heads up!! :)
at 13:20 Jen should have gotten another technology cause she built the academy! :D
What do you mean by "institute"? It cannot be the Planetary Institute since one does not get any tech tiles for building that...
Wrong word, meant acadamy not institute!
at 13:20? Jen didn't built an academy at 13:20, did she? Is that timestamp correct?
at 12:00 U reach the planet from yelow mine, not yours brown.
It was already noted... Like Rahdo says at the start of the 1st video, please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see where Richard goofs up… Thanks :)
At 13min mark. Too many mistakes already made for me to watch. Not one of Richard's finest moments.
strictly speaking, you're at the 39 minute mark, so looks like i'm not the only goofer!!!
Nope, went out with the dog at 13min mark and prolly came back around the 39min mark ;)
I truly cringed at every "OH wait" (backtracks), besides that great video :P

Too many mistakes for such a respectful canal. Should be deleted not to mislead people. Thumb down.
can't please all of the people all of the time

good thing then that any errors are clearly spelled out in the video for all people playing boardgames to see
