I seen just about every band back in there heyday in the 80's, never got a chance to see Kix. I cannot remember a time they played and throughout the 80's I lived in LA, Long Beach and San Diego. Man I missed out, love this band.
I purchased their First Album for like $1 in a bargain Bin back in the day and frigging loved every song, I think I'm the only person in Australia who ever got into them, well I've never met anyone else. Fucking great Band
Me and my buddy were about the only ones in our circle of friends who listened to KIX. It was great that we kind of had this great, kick ass band all to ourselves. 35 years later and I'm still cranking the God Damn KIX band!
KiX went by ShooZe Hagerstown MD is really Smithsburg MD. Same bar as Chad Smith went by Toby ReDD, Shannon Larkin - The Wrathchild about five miles from Camp David "Peace- Out".
kansascitycomputers : Definielt I do rank Ac/DC, but when I saw them at MerriwhThey were opening for Scorpians fairwell ,and they stole the show. And I am not a headbanger. But they just made it fun.
First time seeing this. Awesome. Kudos to Steve Whitman for giving 110% while feeling ill. . I've never seen this band live. But seeing this Damn they kick ass live.
First time I saw them was as the opening act for Quiet Riot at a theater in Scranton, PA during the summer of 1983. Had never heard of them, and they absolutely kicked ass. We drove up from the Philly area.
Anyone remember when they paid for their own little quarter page ads in Hit Parader and Circus magazines, trying to get noticed, before they ever made it?
they do not need special effects, stunning scenery, lots of fireworks and much less than autotune or prerecorded to sound amazing live music. this goes for all those "bands" and "singers" who need everything mentioned above to cover or disguise their disabilities to be good music or good musicians. that if a rock band doing rock. KIX FOREVER. this is knowing how to play and live sound.
***** nope you don't know KIX! he still hits the high notes and can still jump5 feet in the air and still weighs 120 lbs with six pack abs. I have been within 4 feet of the stage 8 times in the last year and they are the least fake band you will ever see!!!
Robin Rennix Either you're completely tone deaf or you're one of those kinds of people that can't face the fact that your "hero" isn't as good as he once was. You remind me of those little DLR fanboys that were raging and screeching against anyone that dared to question the singing abilities of the recent David Lee Roth. He's lost his high notes, too.
Definitely the best live band still around from the 80's... All original members too This is not where you should see Kix. They are definitely a band you need to see at a bigger club/small theater with shitty overpriced beer pressed up against the stage trying to dance with the chick next to you
Actually except for one member...Donnie Purnell was the original bass player and principle songwriter.....He's been out of KIX quite a while now but Mark does a great job filling those shoes.....
Donnie purnell gave his life and soul to this band and seemed to have been the biggest musical and lyrical contribution did he die or get strung out on dope???
Steve Whiteman sounded horrible!!! I have been a fan of Kix for many years but he definitely can I hit the high notes anymore it may be time for him to retire so disappointed with his performance vocally and on stage!!
+Lucretia Bryan LOL Cut the guy some slack, he had a cold, and the audio recording is off to the side. So I'm guessing you have no idea how acoustics and recording work. lololol
+Lucretia Bryan Not to mention they are outdoors on a ship which makes for poor acoustics. Might as well be playing in a windy tin can. And he still killed it. lololololol You should give it a shot then open your mouth

KIX kills it every time, several of the best shows i have ever seen in my life
Loved them back in 80s at Hammerjacks and still do :-)
I purchased their First Album for like $1 in a bargain Bin back in the day and frigging loved every song, I think I'm the only person in Australia who ever got into them, well I've never met anyone else. Fucking great Band
i purchased some DVDs in the early 90s in South Florida ..that is how I found out about them !!
***** In Finland I've met a few and they really love the band

Kix is the greatest rock and roll band ever. I love Kix.

The 80s Sorry, but on Don't Close Your Eyes he definitely needs an autotune. He can't hit the high notes anymore. It was painful to listen to.

Hammerjacks......80.s rocks.....kix....baltimores best
their should peanut shells, and stale beer empty cans and hot chicks taking off their tops
Love these guys but, Steves vocals on this set are fucking pitchy as hell!!!!
