2013 Lonestar Round Up Rod and Kustom Car Show, South Congress Parade, Austin Texas.

Rat Rods and Kustom Cars! Here's 11 minutes of footage from 2013, along south congress in Austin Texas. Each year the official event, held at Travis County Expo Center, spurs an aftershock of thundering rods cruising south Austin. The strip known as SoCo is taken over by an unofficial parade, down right shocking to a local that forgets about the annual event and decides to use the route to try and get somewhere. If your not ready to idle along and feel suddenly inadequate, compared to the beasts of steel surrounding you, then you should just park it on the other side of the river and ride a bike into the area. Bring a camera!

great job with the video. So many spectator cars ruined the congress cruise though. Tons of cars never made out because word got out about the gridlock. Top Notch was a hoppin place that night!

Great advice about parking on the other side of the river, leave congress for the old cars. It's better that way. To many regular cars crowded congress up last year. :/

Rumor has it, next year will see congress street blocked off to spectator cars. No hot rod, no cruising! I sure hope they do it!

This is not a video of the official event, which is held at expo center. This is a popular street to cruise and hang out, during the weekend of the event.
