I assume from commentary that Pilot is a novice, but even so the first rule of flight is to stay alert and look around you!
The head cam never looks to right or left - only to the front- the pilot is concentrating too much on the radio instructions. If he had any spatial awareness he would have taken avoiding action. The other pilot was equally to blame as he left it too late.
Voir toute le temp - tout aux ronde!

Dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf during the lockdown xD

An aircraft that is circling has right of way. The pilot with the helm cam was obviously flying a circle just before collision. So the other pilot should have given him way.
This is the legal regulation worldwide, AFAIK. Of course, this does not release you from the obligation to look around yourself. It is also of no use if it says "He would have the right of way ..." later on your own tombstone.
Ok, der pilot was obviously a novice, judging by the radio comments it was his very first solo flight. If you remember your own 1st flight, it was not really easy to keep control then. You are alone in the air, listening to the trainer's instructions and trying to do what he says. - Still, neither the pilot nor the trainer (!) did notice that the speed system wasn't connected before start, which is a serious overlook in terms of preflight check. A good trainer checks everything twice and triple before he sends his novice pilot in the air.
Luckily, despite of the title, it was merely a slight touch, not a collision.
Thank you for sharing, by the way! I hope you are flying accident-free since then.

@@monsieurbibendum4065 They may be not obligatory, but it helps if you suddenly have to reach into the lines. I mean okay, big ears were pointless in this case because the speedbar isn't attached, neither.
