Great video, Joe and Mary! You are making me want to read this one. I'm actually sort of trying to read Salem's Lot right now. Great skit, as always. Fun bloopers too. Have a great weekend, guys!
I love the skit. I read Pet Sematary many years ago. I re-read it around 6 years ago when the new movie version came out. I loved it both times. I hadn't read a new book from Stephen King for decades until I recently read his new short story collection You Like It Darker. I am almost done. It has 12 stories. Not all are truly short. A couple are more like novellas. I've enjoyed every story. I would only classify 2 as horror. The others do have horrific parts. His tendency to over describe locations and people that you alluded to are in this book too. I actually like when he does this because it gives me a strong sense of place and character. Many of these stories are really gripping. You probably need to take any recommendation i make with a grain of salt though. The Stand is one of my 2 favorite Stephen King novels (the other being Salem's Lot).
His books are chunkers for sure. Pet Semetary was a scary read, has been a long time. You may like The Dark Half, The Shining or Skeleton Crew - short stories instead of a chunky read. Great video as always 👍👍👍
I listened to the audiobook done by Michael C. Hall. It was fantastic! I watched the movie. Judd is one of my favorite characters ever written. Like you, I haven't read all of King's stories, but this is one of my all-time favorite stories!!! There was a point, where they were creeping through the woods, that I even got goosebumps!!!! Love your fun review of this story!!!!!
@@BookBuds I saw clips for a remake (why?) of the movie, but it looked extremely disappointing to me. I'll look for your review of it, if you choose to do one. :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Although this one was kind of middle of the road for me. Agree that The Stand is way too bloated. Misery and 'Salem's Lot are probably my two favorite Stephen King novels. It might feel like 'Salem's Lot gets off to a slow start, but it's worth it in my opinion. The Shining is usually regarded pretty highly, and it's good and all, but I actually prefer the movie. 😊 Thanks for the video, and have a nice weekend.
This was awesome! You guys slayed this so well! And your bloopers were 😂😂😂!! So entertaining, you buds are GOLD!!!! And if you want a SK recommendation maybe try “Revival”. Soooo dark but good! 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello, Book Buds! So glad you loved Pet Sematary! Have you heard the backstory? Stephen King was teaching in New England somewhere. The trucks were a real thing. The Pet Sematary where kids buried the dead animals was real spot with the misspelled sign 😮...not actually haunted of course. There's also a fan theory. People like to connect the King books. Remember when the girl has visions on the way back home? Does she have the ability to shine??? 😲
Hey !! Yes the version I read had a foreward by SK explaining that story. So cool. Ooooh love this theory !!! So cool. That’s another one I haven’t read. 🤔
Great review guys! I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle this one. As a parent and a cat lover it will be a double whammy for me lol. Read Salem’s Lot or the Shining. 😊

Thanks Pat! I just started Salem’s Lot! It’s great so far. Thx for watching.

Joe - I am so happy you enjoyed this book. Hilarious opening! Try Revival and 11/22/63 from King. Great video guys!
Someone else mentioned Revival. I’ve never heard of that one. I’m gonna look it up now. Thanks for being here, Kevin.

Book Bud Mary likes The Dark Half as well. I have to add that to my list. Maybe some short stories would be good... thank you !!

Just started Salem’s Lot as that was the most popular recommendation I received. 3rd King book in a row ! Wahooo
@ yay!! 🤩
I never read the book, but I am probably one of the few that liked the newer movie remake when they changed it up a little 🤷🏾♂️
Haven’t seen it yet ! Def have to now that I’ve read the book. Thx man
