Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm so glad to fix this problem cheaply without bringing the computer in to a service center. Greetings from Dallas, TX, USA 🤠
I've just finished to fix my own dell inspiron, its the same model, and i just want to say thank you a lot, it gave me the confidence to try it and it worked! Now i made some thing very different, i retired very carefuly the plastic screen frame to avoid broke it, and the plastic protectors of the hinges i put them first later on after I've finished fillin the glue (in my case i used Kola-Loka) in the holes rather than do it when the laptop is already fixed and finished. Thanks again, this video is one of a kind, there's not other video from this particular problem, greetings from Mexico! New Sub!
Hola carnal, tengo el mismo problema con mi laptop, la cinta adhesiva para el displacía donde la conseguiste? Eh visto algunas en mercado libre pero no estoy seguro
This is great video and I have viewed another one of yours regarding this family of DELL laptop. What led me to your channel is the fact I unfortunately encountered this issue. One question: In the U.S. I am unable to find R-Kem II - at least locally. Is there a compatible product, or type of product, you also may recommend? When I "googles" R-Kem II a lot of the hit returns cite it is used in the construction trades for bonding to concrete. Please post here if you are able. Thank you so much for going to all this effort to produce these very detailed videos.
Great video. So I bought a laptop for my niece and she has this problem. It does look like the issue is not the hinge itself but how it is glued or anchored to the screen base. Is this correct? I was planning to buy new hinges and the bezel but this may not be needed. Maybe any good flexible epoxy might do.
Kinda regretting having one of these now. Hinges failed after 3 months of use and it was brand new. Every thing else works fine though. What would be the best Laptop to buy in 2024 reliability wise?
In Canada the government forced Dell to pay for this damage on their Latitudes and Inspiron model. I work in a college and we have tons of those, all with the same issue.

Un destre el diseño de Dell en este sentido

Not a dell
I've been thinking, why doesn't Dell have a recall on these? Is there a class action lawsuit going on?

Is the hinge originally just glued under the screen? Like what 😂 ima avoid DELL 😂
