😅 The nostalgia of when my team had it all! I remember watching Scholes and being nervous every time he went into a tackle 🤣 My top 5 midfielders: 1. Zidane 2. Riquelme 3. Scholes 4. Gerrard 5. Fabregas
Dude tf is this list, with all due respect, the hell is Fabregas doing in an all time best midfielders list, same goes for Riquelme, and where are the likes of Xavi and Iniesta
There are 3 main types of midfielders: 1. *Defensive/holding midfielders (no. 6)* - They are deep-lying and the most defensive midfielders on the pitch. - The difference between defensive and holding midfielders is that defensive midfielders are like an engine (they are strong and less technical) and win back possession (e.g. Roy Keane, Claude Makélélé), while holding midfielders (quarter-backs) are technical, deep-lying playmakers and have an eye for the pass (e.g. Andrea Pirlo, Xavi). 2. *Central/box-to-box midfielders (no. 8)* - They are the most complete players in the game. - They could be technical half-winger dribblers like Andrés Iniesta and Paul Pogba, or all-round cardio machines like Steven Gerrard and Lothar Matthäus. 3. *Attacking midfielders (no. 10)* - They are the creative nucleus of the team. - Some of the greatest of all time have played in this capacity to a certain extent in their career e.g. Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Neymar. However, pure 10s are truly special and rare. Examples are Zinedine Zidane, Francesco Totti, Frank Lampard and Yohann Cruyff. Now, there are players who could play both as 6s and 8s, or 8s and 10s. Xavi could play as a 6 or 8. Iniesta and Lampard could play as an 8 or 10. The TRULY RARE midfielders are those who could play as a 6, 8 and 10. *Paul Scholes* is in that select few, having played in all those positions at different points in his career. Other midfielders who could play as a 6, 8 and 10 are Luka Modrić and Andrea Pirlo, also considered all time greats. That being said, these are my top 5 midfielders of all time: 1. Zinedine Zidane 2. Lothar Matthäus 3. Xavi Hernández 4. Andrea Pirlo 5. Paul Scholes But tbf I've also put Andrés Iniesta, Francesco Totti, Michel Platini and Steven Gerrard in my top 5 before ... it's just so difficult to choose who goes in and who doesn't. Also, Yohann Cruyff is a top 5 player of all time, but he also played as winger and forward, so, like Messi and Neymar, I don't exactly recognise him as a pure no. 10.
these videos are so hard to judge as they make it impossible to see the actual plays but scholes gotta be in my top 5 personally, Zidane, Scholes, Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta
Could you guys please react to Roy Keane Tribute by the channel quality mufc videos. Roy keane is someone you guys need to watch, he was an absolute leader and leads by example, he was known as a pretty tough guy so much so, that even his own team mates were terrified of him. His character and personality played an integral part in uniteds success. This video really highlights his personality and the success he brought to Manchester United. Great video as always guys keep it up 👍
His style of play influenced La Masia 😍 One of the best english midfielders ever. I would rank him ahead of Lampard but behind Gerrard. Gerrard was..different level. That guy could do everything and he never played in a world class team like SAF Man Utd or Mourinho Chelsea.
Nahhhhh. Lampard over Scholes but then again im a chelsea fan lol. But tbh i cannot deny Gerrard was the best among them. That guy should have move away from liverpool. Every team wanted him back then. 0 pl titles 😋
Way too many amazing midfielders of all time. Heck you could form a top 5 from the most recent past era of football that could contend to be the greatest 5 of all time. You've got: Andres Iniesta Xavi Steven Gerrard Frank Lampard Paul Scholes Andrea Pirlo Zinedine Zidane Clarence Seedorf And many more
Top 5 is difficult to rank due to different roles of players on the midfield, but overall greatness I would go for (in no particular order): Zidane, Iniesta, Gerrard, Matthaus/Scholes and Xavi. However, there are still many many players that are almost on their level, like Lampard, Pirlo, Kante, Vieira, KdB, Seedorf etc.
What you were saying about a leader is more true of his midfield partner Roy Keane, tough, outspoken legend, people dont usually pick Socrates of the 1982 Brazil team as he didnt come to Europe but he was great, Michel Platini & Ruud Gullit, Rivaldo, Lothar Mattheus all legeds too
react to busquetts was. apart of the trio xavi iniesta and him and react to pedri 18 years old plays for barcalona currently top 5 midfielder in the world without a doubt
Busquets is definitely in the "most underrated" bracket. Gets looked past to often but Xavi & Iniesta wouldn't have been half as successful as they were without Busquets behind them ! Maybe when he retires he'll get the respect he deserves, who knows. Rodri suffers from the same issue at City these day. Absolute class footballers, definitely.
So hard to rank midfielders, so many different qualities. Some are more elegant but lack physicality, some are hardworking, strong, great vision. But if I think of great midfielders, I firstly think of, vision, passing, and ability to control the game -like they set the pace. And then scoring loads of goals is a bonus. I Can't rank from 1 to 5 its impossible for me but here are 10 in random order: Iniesta, Lampard, Scholes, xavi, Zidane, Gerrard, Modric, De Bruyne, Pirlo, Guti. Check out Guti - moments of genious you'd never expect! You guys will love him. Frequently called the Most underrated midfielder ever. But his teammates allways knew how important he was.
My top 5 midfielders Zidane Ronaldinho Ozil Bernardo Silva Rui Costa But there’s so many bro.. Modric Iniesta Kroos Xavi Vieira Gerrard Xabi Alonso and more. Those my top 5 though.
Best midfielders I have ever seen: 1- Zidane (accomplished everything in football) 2- Modric (If he played for a different country he'll be up there with Zidane) 3-Iniesta (the most important part in the Barca era alongside Messi and Xavi) 4- Xavi ( nothing more to add ) 5- Pirlo ( He definitely is one of the smartest and elegant players and had a long CV that puts him with the top, sadly he is underrated). HM: Schools, Kroos, Gerrard, Yaya Toure, Lampard, Vieira and Ballack.
Y’all are insane Top 5 EVER should be 1- Zidan 2- Iniesta 3- Xavi 4- Modrić 5- Luis Figo And that’s when we dont count Ronaldinho and Kaka as Midfielders. Smh
My top 5 Midfielders (not in order bc that’s impossible) Iniesta Xavi Scholes Modric Zidane Honorable Mentions- Kroos, Pirlo, Kaka, busquets, and Teen Ronaldo
1 - Zinedine Zidane 2- Xavi 3- Scholes 4- Iniesta 5- Frank Lampard 6- Steven Gerard 7- Kaka 8- Andrea Pirlo Mannn thats hard 😂.. hard to rank they are so good !!!
Midfielders are so hard to rank, but ill say this; between 2004 and 2012 Manchester United won absolutely everything there is to win, they had Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic, VDS, Evra. Among all those, Paul Scholes was the most important player in that team.

Dude tf is this list, with all due respect, the hell is Fabregas doing in an all time best midfielders list, same goes for Riquelme, and where are the likes of Xavi and Iniesta
There are 3 main types of midfielders:
1. *Defensive/holding midfielders (no. 6)*
- They are deep-lying and the most defensive midfielders on the pitch.
- They are the most complete players in the game.
- They could be technical half-winger dribblers like Andrés Iniesta and Paul Pogba, or all-round cardio machines like Steven Gerrard and Lothar Matthäus.
3. *Attacking midfielders (no. 10)*
- They are the creative nucleus of the team.
That being said, these are my top 5 midfielders of all time:
1. Zinedine Zidane
2. Lothar Matthäus
3. Xavi Hernández
4. Andrea Pirlo
5. Paul Scholes
But tbf I've also put Andrés Iniesta, Francesco Totti, Michel Platini and Steven Gerrard in my top 5 before ... it's just so difficult to choose who goes in and who doesn't.
You brother deserves some Juan Roman Riquelme the "Lazy Genius" !! Highly recommended for real !
As my aul ma used to say, "it's the quiet one's you need to watch out for"
Could you guys please react to Roy Keane Tribute by the channel quality mufc videos. Great video as always guys keep it up 👍
His style of play influenced La Masia 😍
One of the best english midfielders ever.
This video is a more story/cinematic video. There are videos out there that show more of his gameplay specifically
Way too many amazing midfielders of all time. Heck you could form a top 5 from the most recent past era of football that could contend to be the greatest 5 of all time.
You've got:
Andres Iniesta
Xavi
Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Paul Scholes
Andrea Pirlo
Zinedine Zidane
Clarence Seedorf
And many more
a true great
Top 5 is difficult to rank due to different roles of players on the midfield, but overall greatness I would go for (in no particular order): Zidane, Iniesta, Gerrard, Matthaus/Scholes and Xavi.
However, there are still many many players that are almost on their level, like Lampard, Pirlo, Kante, Vieira, KdB, Seedorf etc.
It’s really hard to Judge midfielders but every football fan will put him in their top 5 midfielders of all time.
you guys should watch liverpools journey to win the champions league 2019 the movie, they actually won the Carabao Cup on Sunday
the best 5 are
Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes
no video can ever give this man enough credit
Barcelona used play videos of Scholes in the training sections so there midfielders learn how to pass like him
paul scholes might not be on everyone's top 5 but the best way to describe him is: he is your favorite midfielder's favorite midfielder
He was so good ,the Coach had to beg him out of retirement because the new boys out there couldnt fill his boots and nobody now can
What you were saying about a leader is more true of his midfield partner Roy Keane, tough, outspoken legend, people dont usually pick Socrates of the 1982 Brazil team as he didnt come to Europe but he was great, Michel Platini & Ruud Gullit, Rivaldo, Lothar Mattheus all legeds too
It's difficult to say just 5
The best midiefilders of all time for me is :
Zidane
Iniesta
Scholes
Mathuas
Xavi
Pirlo
Deschamps
Makelele
react to busquetts
was. apart of the trio xavi iniesta and him
and react to pedri 18 years old plays for barcalona currently top 5 midfielder in the world without a doubt
Who else was hype when Scholes came out of retirement in 2012-13?
My top 5 midfielders
Zidane
Ronaldinho
Ozil
Bernardo Silva
Rui Costa
But there’s so many bro.. Modric Iniesta Kroos Xavi Vieira Gerrard Xabi Alonso and more. Those my top 5 though.
🐐
Best midfielders I have ever seen:
1- Zidane (accomplished everything in football)
2- Modric (If he played for a different country he'll be up there with Zidane)
3-Iniesta (the most important part in the Barca era alongside Messi and Xavi)
4- Xavi ( nothing more to add )
5- Pirlo ( He definitely is one of the smartest and elegant players and had a long CV that puts him with the top, sadly he is underrated).
HM:
Schools, Kroos, Gerrard, Yaya Toure, Lampard, Vieira and Ballack.
Paul Scholes the best central midfield player in the premier league history.

Mannn thats hard 😂.. hard to rank they are so good !!!
Top 5.
Scholes
Scholes
Scholes
Scholes
Scholes 😂
Pls react to Toni Kroos next
You guys should react to "amazing arsenal goals" on the Premier league RUclips channel, I seen you reacted to Thierry Henry who is a legend of the club, and the AFTV fan reactions/memes which are all the arsenal fan base but not much else from the club, they are one of the biggest clubs in the English Premier league and they hold the record for most unbeaten games in a row in the league, which was 49 games, which is longer than a whole season
Hard to watch a highlights video to get the genius of Scholes..you need to watch 90 minutes to get it..
If we compared Football to the NBA. Scholes was definitely the John Stockton type.
