Motorola Micom 2R first QSO

First contact with this radio. Almost 1000km on the 20m band with Enrico in Italy.
This radio is fun to operate. I still have to get used to the menu system, but overall it is a pretty good radio for base operations. I still have to try ALE. I already figured out how to make the cable and connection to a PC to program the radio.

Great video, great radio! I have a 2ES civilian version. Pretty sure Mobat changed the control head to a milspec unit and added the speaker, otherwise the UI is the same. Love these bulletproof radios.
