B8, 3.0L Turbo Diesel, EGR off/out, downpipe + non-resonated exhaust = insane sound without ripping the average Joe's wallet into pieces. RS4's old and new are pure gold nonetheless! Great vid.

Old interior looks much nicer, with the screen integrated into the dash, not added on top like some afterthought.
Wow old rs4 had some pretty long gear ratios in comparison... that’s probably the biggest reason for the acceleration disparity. Great video as always
gearbox tuning and remap would make this car quicker
because it a naturally aspirated engine
I have the B8 and it's a joy to drive. I think the design is really underrated - Mine is now 11 years old now, but I don't think it looks dated at all. Great car.

From everything I've heard if you care about driving experience the b9 is better in every way. Lighter overall less weight up front and way less understeer. I had a b8 s4 and the front felt super heavy. I recently drove a b9 a4 loaner car and it turned way better. The b9 chassis is noticably more agile.

Isso . Ich mein der neue b9 ist eine rakete.... Aber mein b8 mit frischer BEDI reinigung ist denk ich genauso schnell und hat den guten alten V8😎😍 und so vom Gefühl her geht mein b8 wesentlich besser ab als der im Video
Der B9 ist schon schneller,das musste ich auf der BAB 7 selber feststellen.Aber Welten sind es nicht und tauschen würde ich niemals.Der B8 ist noch ein echter RS für Fans und der Sound kommt vom Motor,der B9 ist mir zu weichgespült,will es jedem recht machen.Der B8 wird zum Liebhaberstück,wegen Motor,DSG und der tollen Optik.Turbos sind zeitgemäss und schnell,ich steh aber auf V8,Sound und Drehzahl....

It's a 3.0, you get lots of torque from turbos lol.

Everyone who has driven both seem to say the B9 is just a much more fun car because of the availability of power in any gear. At the end of the day it’s the driving experience and not engine dogma/holiness that matters. I wonder how many people would change their mind if they could drive both.

Any car can have a noisey exhaust fitted, it's the sound from the engine is what you're really hearing, especially from that beautiful V8 B8.
I’m selling my X3M and getting the B8. I just miss the V8. Speed is nothing without sound. I’d rather have a slower car that sounds amazing. Than a fast artificial sounding car. Can’t wait. 🎉

I like both, these are oil and water in terms of engine aspiration, sound and drivability but i have to say they cant compare. Thats why i like both. I can be happy with both if i have to choose

New version looks and sounds too clinical, it's too expensive and in my opinion, Audi have lost their way. Might be quicker but that revvy V8 is just irreplaceable. The cockpit of old just looks so much better as well. Great second hand buy. They don't make them like they used to!

The ZF 8 speed auto in the B9 is a great gearbox
B9 is the better Car. Looks better, is faster and the V6 Biturbo is a Dream. I don't miss the V8.

Also ich stand vor der Entscheidung B8/B9 und es wurde der RS4 B9. Warum?
Ich habe mehrere DSG durch und das Getriebe ist und bleibt anfällig, während die Wandler selbst mit 400tkm noch gut laufen. Mein B8 S4 hatte auch damit Probleme.
Der V6 ist deutlich agressiver. Leider viel weniger Sound. Das Fahrwerk ist viel besser beim B9. Ersatzteillage dürfte beim B9 besser sein, weil der Motor / Getriebe in Porsche und anderen VAG/ oder auch Fremdmarken verbaut wird.
Nachteile B9, weniger Sound, dem Anschein nach billiger Produziert, Viel Umweltblödsinn, noch mehr ElektronikKlimmbimm.
