    The greatest interpretation ever, only a genius like Richter could make the notes of the genius that is Bach shine, allowing us to feel the flow of destiny as intended by the Supreme Composer.

      If you like Bach you'll love Mozart's 9th, 20th, 21st, 24th, and 25th piano concertos. And the Zimmerman-Bernstein performance of Beethoven's 3rd piano concerto. Zimmerman is the greatest pianist alive. But so few recordings. Happy listening.

      My favorite passage in all of music is the several measures in the 1st movement of the 21st concerto where Mozart has both hands playing arpeggios against each other in what are dissonant intervals so expertly woven together that they sound consonant! When I bought the score and as I was playing it first came to that passage and became aware that it was actually dissonant intervals I was startled. Because when listening to the recording before that the same passage sounded consonant. Genius. The 1st movement of the 21st is one of the most underappreciated pieces in all of music. But then Mozart said that melody is the essence of music, counterpoint, orchestration, etc., the hack work. And his melodies go right over the heads of most people because they are so much more complex than other composers. You have to listen to Mozart's later music several times to really hear it. As Schumann said, "Have you noticed that Mozart's music is unique. The more you listen to it the fresher it becomes." Great tragedy that he died so young and in the fullness of his powers. What great works we could have had that we don't have.

      It's also silly to insist that everyone speak English... the world is full of many beautiful languages, each with its own nuances and esteemed literary traditions. Why should English be the standard?
      If we were going by the most spoken languages in the world, then we should insist that Permian learn Mandarin, Spanish, or Hindi.

    The following lyrics in it were chosen for this ADAGIO " NO MORE MONEY,NO MORE F A N C Y DRESS...THIS OTHER KINGDOM IS BY FAR THE BEST...."
    Of course ,everybody got entranced in a suicidal emotion which somehow served the fake news narrative of JIM MORRISON's supposed death via heartattack through a heroin overdose .It was a lie,but people believe everything they read or hear in the news until THE END. .which is near...and so is JUDGEMENT DAY and THE SECOND COMING

    why is it so similar to the bwv 1041 violin concerto???

    • @madamzzaj
      @madamzzaj 6 лет назад +2

      Bach was under contract and adapted a lot of his themes to other works and concertos. He made some of them for violin and flaüte the same and he adapted quite a few from organ to harpsichord. He had to have some time to produce all those children. :-) If you study the two and three part inventions and the preludes and fugues then technically you are prepared for all of his other works. That is why Mozart is considered one of the greatest composers because although he had an identity in his work they were all individual and stood on their own.

    • @Frazer777
      @Frazer777 6 лет назад +5

      I think if you consider Bach wrote over 1000 pieces of music it is quite incredible he hardly ever repeats himself. If you consider just the Goldbergs and the 48 the possibility to repeat phrases and chord sequences is huge yet he hardly ever does. The only time he obviously repeats himself is when he deliberately repeats himself as in the case mentioned above. As a performer of Bach myself i am always left speechless how he managed this - a six-minute fugue that never tires or runs out of ideas. Without doubt the most complex musical mind in history.

    Bach has probably done more to make us think beyond our own selves than any musician. And yes, he was religious. Go figure !

    • @Frazer777
      @Frazer777 6 лет назад +3

      I think a person's religious leanings in the 18th century have to be taken in context with the social climate of the time. For instance, for someone to dismiss god and embrace atheisim in 1725 would have resulted, in Bach's case certainly, a loss of position, income and social status - if not worse. It would have been wise to keep such views hidden and tow the party line, so to speak. I'm not suggesting Bach wasn't a believer but it could have been overstated. Also, Bach wrote many secular works that still take us way beyond ourselves. My own view is Bach was perhaps a touch autistic and found a way to express the emotion through music, an emotion we find quite profound as we are unable to decipher it. Many will attribute this to 'God'. I feel Bach would have been the same composer as a non-believer.

    • @gjeacocke
      @gjeacocke 6 лет назад +1

      That can not be alltogether true. Many christians especially the early generations were martyred for their faith. Because they had hope in jesus that conquered death. So they did not fear it like say a person that fears loosing his life. U can not say they would fear loosing positions. Bach went to prison. He did not fear talking to high up ppl.

      @@Frazer777 Not to argue the point with you, but no beautiful music has been composed by an atheist. The most beautiful music is religious in inspiration, both famous Ave Marias, Bach's Passions and B minor Mass, Handel's Messiah and the Op.6 Grand Concertos composed as interlude music to the Messiah, in my opinion greater music than the Messiah itself. Then there's Haydn's Creation, Mozart's Requiem Mass and C minor Mass, and Brahms' famous German Requiem. Atheists have done diddly squat in music. Just saying.
