- Reno is the city of Nevada state and ranks the 3rd of the population of state Nevada. Reno is famous for hotels and casinos. Every year Reno has air balloons races and cars classic show, air show. Reno is 20 miles from Sierra mountain, the winter goes to up Sierra mountain ski and snowboard.
We drive one day trip to Reno and we really love this city and hope someday we will come back to see a classic car show and visiting some different place in Reno.

I'm diehard Reno since i lived in Bay Area most of my life. Reno was like a second home. This is the best Reno tour I've seen on RUclips. I'm not into the Vegas overhype, so I really enjoyed your awesome video.

Reno is my hometown . If you like hiking , biking , rafting , sking your in one of the best places .
There's a lot more to see and do here in Reno. I live here, moved up here from East L.A. and trust me i love it here. Vegas has better casinos but take the casinos out of Vegas and there's nothing to do in a desert, Reno is greener and much much more to do!!

Oh man, 2:38 this neighbourhood is developing quick. There'll be apartment buildings that will go up. What I love about living here is that we're not overly reliant on casinos for income and def not on leisure. We got the beauty of the outdoors and nature around us and a growing urban life/culture that is thriving and will only grow in the future as more people move here. I love living here Reno ❤

Most of us Renoites don't really go to downtown casinos. We love the outdoors and go to the many hiking trails, lakes, rivers, camp sites, etc around us. Kayaking, skiing, paddle boarding and other outdoor sports is what we go after. If we're in town, at least the younger generations, Midtown, Cal Ave, Riverwalk districts are what we go for, not the casinos. Hit up the local cafés, art galleries, bars, restaurants, local shops, etc. Unless we feel like trying the buffets, watch a concert/show, or feel like "clubbing", most people in the casinos are tourists. That's why downtown often feels empty, because either tourists are indoors in the casino or locals are elsewhere. Only time downtown is packed is when we have the annual events like Jazz Festival, Artown(whole city event), Italian Festival, Hot August Nights, etc, or if there's a soccer or baseball game at the stadium.
I live here. You'd be shocked at the changes - in less than two years - just on the streets you traveled.

I think Reno name is franch ?
It was named after a Union Major General, Jesse L. Reno, which was a friend of one of the people involved in naming the new city as the railroad passed by this town. Maj Gen Reno's ancestors were French and moved to the US from France back in the late 1700s. Their family name was originally spelt _Renault_ like the French car brand, but was later anglicised to *_Reno_* Yes, it was originally French 😉
They should bring casinos back the City of Reno City Council to bring back the Fitzgerald Casino Hotel is she bringing more casinos to build a bring out in a good way that way he'll be more jobs for everybody more casinos more souvenirs shops I mean this in a respectful way look what they're doing with Las Vegas they're building Las Vegas up what I'm trying to say is they should be building more casinos bring back some old casinos with a kind of old theme from the 1980s 70's look just saying I just want the best for everybody
The city is modernising and growing. As a Reno native, I like the direction our city is going(we do need to fix our housing problems). The city centre being a living and thriving city, not a tourist trap, especially with the waning interest in casino activities. That's why Harrah's left and that will now be converted to condos, office space, plus other amenities.
