Hey Robin. I hope you are well. I saw both your videos and I must say this is the best I've come across of something practical for a manual conversion on a w202. Phenomenal! Would you consider doing a conversion for me? I have a w202 97 c230 kompressor. And I want to get a 6 speed in. I don't think any mechanics have the experience now of these old mercs. Would you consider it as paid work?? I know there are some manuals out there for the c230 kompressor but there as rare as hens teeth now. However there ate plenty of manual gearboxes for sale. I think my skill level is not there for such a big job. Let me know buddy.

What is the brand or part number for the single mass flywheel?

Hello. I swaped 5.5 M113 is 2000 C240. Everything runs good, but I have stock 5 gear transmition and stock 3.67 diff. Tell me, if you can, what diff you use, what ratio, what car should I look for? Do you have a diff with ASD or some other lock? Thank you, you have built a great car, congratulations and admire

Hope you don't mind me commenting, I've just done a auto to manaul conversion on my Viano (W639).
However it won't turn over when turning the key to position 3. I noticed on the back of the old auto shifter than there was a button type cable that got pressed down when the shifter is in Park.
(If I don't press this down when the key is in it doesn't release the key).
Im guessing I need to find a way to have this button permanently pressed down.
However is there a way of identifying what cable needs to be Bridged on my round connector (would it be harmful if I tired the same coloured wires or would you know which ones need to be Bridged)?
    Viano 2.2 euro 4
Thank you in advance (any help would be highly appreciated). Ps great youtube video btw!

Love the channel! Sub'd! I have a w203 C55, do you think the switch trick on the automatic gear control would work for my car as well?

@@raw-amg4396 My swap is now completed if you want to check it out! We ended up coding the car to a manual rather than tricking the system. We did run it with the gear selector in P for the first couple drives though ;)

How did you connect the reverse wires?

Joined the reverse wires from the manual reverse light switch to the connector that was in the automatic gear selector
