Hey man, I just discovered your page and man you are great! You’re tutorials are really really helpful. I’ve bought some tutorial packages and stuff which were great but what’s so good about your’s is that you explain everything in multiple possible situations, you take your time, and you actually enjoy yourself and do a bit of live mixing! Keep it up!
I love how you are passionate about all this. Seeing you being happy after exiting loop and other moments in this vid.. damn dude :) Its midnight right now and I'm 50 kilometres away from my controller but maaaan... Id like to hop on my gear just now haha :D
I’ve had a problem with mixing 2 tracks w vocals and your vocal video really helped me out as well as this one to give me more ideas! Killer video man, you have helped me so much, thank you!
Can I just thank you! I had a massive stroke 2 years ago which left me severely brain damaged, thankfully I’m still blessed with this ability 🙏. You’re videos make me so happy, I love your teaching style, it makes me really hopeful for the future. I’ve realised I’ve been wasting a talent. Namaste xx
Your videos are amazing and they help me, It feels like I'm being taught by an actual Dj and not someone who just knows how to use DJ equipment. I also love your passion and energy ❤
hey dude. I just discovered your channel and have seen several videos already, and you are the best at explaining how to DJ. I think it's the POV view of the DJ controllers, and the way you explain things, and then most importantly, your quick little review/summary of what you just did to emphasize the important points that make your tutorials so effective. I will definitely finish the rest of your videos and purchase your tutorials. Thanks so much!
Thanks for this video. I’ve been playing at home with my XDJ 1000 mk2’s with a XP1 for looping controls. And it’s so easy to just fire up a loop from the first beat with that setup. But then I go out to play, and can’t figure out how to do this on CDJ’s. Now I know. It’s the loop out. Of course it is. Makes so much sense Thanks
love this video, helped a lot and I can feel the excitement in each drop and each stepping going through this video. music is your passion for sure. Cheers!
What a great bloke 👍🏻 loving the videos, so well explained and easy to understand. My new go to dj learning channel. Thanks and all the best from the UK!
Mate I've been watching your videos for a few months now and I'm still a newbie but I've definitely gotten good at mixing/meshing my tunes with the eq's. I love it! This video is gold..... Awesome job!!
Great tutorial. Looping vocals or a melodic stab etc was my go to tool when taking over from the other resident. Looping is also a great way to signify to the audience something new is coming. Or is it!!!!! Swapping the basses or phasing the tracks and loops is a great way to build energy. Playing at home is a fun hobby, but the tracks and mixing come alive when playing on a club system. It's great to see a pro teaching how to DJ correctly via mixing rather than effects.😀👍
Man, this is a prime breakdown and your energy makes it all worthwhile to listen to your teachings even more. Thank you for sharing. P.S. the Jagged Edge example definitely threw me in for a loop there...love that track!
These videos are little golden nuggets. Coming from 1210s I'm finding the transition to digital a little difficult to master. There's so much going on, but learning these little tricks make a massive difference. Thanks Andrew, stay safe buddy
Awesome. You got skills in mixing, explaining and a great vibe. Killer combo to keep the audience engaged. Thanks a lot. Subbed. Just got back into djing after 20 years absence. As a dinosaur I had no beatmatch, waveforms and no bpm indicators. 80 percent of my time I was just spending on syncing the tracks. 2 weeks ago I bought an flx4 to give the new mixing style a go, see if I want to get back at it professionally again. 🎉
Haha this is the way to watch them - with a smile - it also says something about you - you can see and admire the human-ness which means it may just reflect something inside of you - I am happy - thank you!
Thanks for putting out so much quality content. Your videos have really helped me improve as a dj. I love how you explain things very clearly and then show examples of the techniques in action. Breaking down how to get the phrasing to match up properly with looping in and out was really helpful in this tutorial. Also, just love your energy and excitement in all your videos!
This was really awesome man thank you. I’m a musician and I’ve used loop pedals in my solo post rock act for years. Transitioning to DJing looping is just so natural to my style :)
I just came across your tutorials and I love them! Just think it can get a little hard to listen to what you're saying while the music's playling pretty loud sometimes. Maybe keep that in mind;) Greetings from Germany!
Recommend discovered your channel, love the enthusiasm and excitement you bring to the videos. Absolutely authentic and nothing beats that. Do you have a residency in a club in Sydney? I'd love to come see you play, clearly you're a matter of your craft and it'd be great to see you work the magic with a crowd🤙
The best thing to do is pre set a opening loop area and a outgoing loop area just for emergency’s and reference points for standard whole song mixing. Make them and save them in your software of choice when your putting them in the library.
Im working with the DDJ 1000 srt and I'm trying to use the in and out feature to create my loops instead of relying on the 4 beat loop function. I'm having issues making the loops perfectly on beat for the looping out of a song drill as the loop is always maybe .1 to .5 bpm off from being perfect and trainwrecks with the beat of the incoming track that I had just beatmatched with the track. Is there a trick to creating perfect loops everytime so you don't need to correct the loop?
I now see the value of using the loop in and out buttons vs the pads. I was always using the pad and engage the loop b then switch tit eh fix pads which works but it’s completely make’s impossible to uses fix and engage the loop at the same time. making my life all hard lol 😂
Looping in is a great way to gain confidence on your first time playing with a cdj if you're used to playing with controllers since it gives you more time to beatmatch
Hey Andrew! Yet another great video, and I love the positive, and approachable way you teach. I signed up for your mini course online, but a lot of the videos won't play, or take forever to load. I don't seem to have a hard time watching your videos on youtube however. I'm interested in taking your paid classes, but I'm unsure about whether or not I'm going to run into the same issues as the mini free course, if the videos are shown on your website. On what platform are your paid courses shown and have you heard of this issue before from other users?
Glad to hear you love my videos, sorry to hear your having problems with the course but so far none of my other students are having any issues with the free or paid course so it sounds like an isolated event. You could try another browser maybe.. If you want to send me an email with more details I can have my tech guy see if there is anything he can do to help sort you out and I'm more than happy to offer a discount code on the course: andrew@clubreadydjschool.com
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Hey Andrew, thanks for the tip. Yeah, for some reason it's hit and miss with Safari, but when I tried it with Firefox, it seemed to work great. I'm pretty set on taking the paid course, I'm just going to get through the free videos first to have some sort of a foundation. Thanks again brother, some of the most informative and entertaining videos I've found.Keep up the great work. -Jamie Switch
What pioneer controller are you using? I've seen others with the same one and the built-in screen looks convineint but I noticed there's no pad buttons at the bottom
Hey man thanks a lot for the video, very helpful. I'm finding that when I loop song in and out I can't always get the loop to catch 4, 8, 16...etc beats exactly and so the tracks go out of sync. Any advice?

Love your content! Quick question.. At 10:12 how do you know at what moment to exit the Fisher loop to match the drop?
Great 1st track ...

P.s : the sentence on your tshirt doesnt mean anything in french :D
Getting a ddj-400 and your videos are helping out a lot bro! Thanks for the content you just got a new sub!
Welcome aboard!
Club Ready DJ School just got your course as well looking forward to it,
is house easier to practice cue/loop mixes than hardstyle and edm? would you highly recommend doing that first?
The best thing to do is pre set a opening loop area and a outgoing loop area just for emergency’s and reference points for standard whole song mixing. Make them and save them in your software of choice when your putting them in the library.
That's what I do too, especially outgoing.
I really like your videos. Inspiring me to keep on practicing. Thanks mate.
Love it cheers for Sharing. Top guy!
Absolute genius !! thank you good sir !!
Love the video, what’s the track id on the first two tunes, one is camelphat what’s the other one
As a deep house do learning to use looping in and out transformed the quality of my mix cds. Great video buddy 👍
I want what u eat for breakfast to be constantly happy 😊

What tune do you mix into the Mark Knight remix??
This was so helpful. Make remake it. I’m sure you could make a short
out of this. Video

As long as you release the loop so the song comes in perfectly - yes 100% :) You're the man!!

Check to see if quantize is on, this snaps the loop to the beat :)
Whats the first song your mixing in? (song nr 2 / vocals start 02:02).
@nothanks4845 - Cola - Camelphat and Elderbrook?
Although you probably worked it out by now hahaha - 2 yrs ago
