Yeah, I did enjoy Baxter. Also, I will be talking about him when I do future installments of the series. I plan on doing 1989 and 1990 figures so make sure to keep a lookout for those videos. I really appreciate you watching this one. I put a lot of work into it, so I do appreciate it
Can't tell you how much I love this! I had all of these as a kid. I remember pretty vividly getting rocksteady for Christmas the year it came out. Such good memories. Thanks for sharing your collection and the great info.
Wow that’s awesome! I’m so Glad I was able to unlock some childhood memories for you. I’m a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan and I’m glad to be able to show off my small collection. I plan on doing more of these in the future for 1989 and 1990 figures. So make sure to look for those. Thank you again for watching
Another great video!! Your collection is amazing. You’ve got me super excited to get my collection going strong again.💪🏻👍 looking forward to more videos!
Awesome! Thank you! I hope you’re able to pick some figures up and have a collection of your own. Thanks for watching my video my friend. I hope you enjoyed.
Yea the rubber pink nose, fun club was the first release, then the pop up, then the hard head. But that all happened within a 6 month time span. I appreciate you watching. I’m glad you like it the TMNT stuff
Yea 1989 was a great year also, some of the most iconic characters were released that year. I been thinking about extending it. I’m glad you enjoy it man. Thanks wasn’t sure on how it would go over with everyone.
I did the same. I have a lot of these, but as I got older, I just lost pieces and figures along the way, but I started collecting about 10 years ago when these things weren’t worth very much fortunately now they’re really expensive. I’m still collecting and I plan on doing a video about 1989 so hopefully you check that out. Also thank you for supporting my channel and Cowabunga my friend!
Yes that’s completely true actually a lot darker also more demented. Which I thought went very well with the new attitude of the show. I think a lot of fans called that era of the cartoon the red sky episodes. I liked them but I know a lot of other people didn’t. I appreciate you watching my friend.
@@RetroReminiscence Yeah, took a while but we finally got a serious cartoon Shredder for at least a couple episodes. Imo, Shredder is one of the most badass villain designs in comics from day one; look at most other comic villains on their debut (and still today) and they look goofy. You have to work really hard to make him not look cool, though it has happened when people stray too much from the original.
Nice! Learnt loads that I didn’t previously know. I used to love. Bebop’s goofiness lol. Would be keen to find out more about the next run! #keepitretro! Big love from the UK
I had all of the figures here when i was a kid... i liked all the characters but i remember that Rocksteady was my favorite. I still have the Rocksteady figure of my childhood. It's hard to remember in what order i had all the figures in the 80s and early 90s... but i believe that Raphael was my first turtle and Rocksteady my first bad guy (or Shredder). I had Bebop after Rocksteady and Shredder i believe...
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m a huge TMNT fan, so I tried to showcase that. They brought me so much joy as a kid. So I’m grateful to be able to collect them now. I need to do a video on the 89, 90 figures also. Rocksteady was so cool. I remember tearing him outta the package back then. It is something I will never forget.
I used play with all my teenage mutant ninja turtles toys when i was a kid & Ghostbusters toys, one Halloween my mom made me & my older brother teenage mutant ninja turtles Halloween costumes from the fabric store & she did an amazing job, she did a great job that the other kids in our neighborhood wanted our mom to make there Halloween costumes the next year
See it’s awesome memories like that that make me wanna keep making videos on my channel like this one people watch my video and it just starts bringing back memories from when they were a kid of all the cool things that happened and your mom sounds pretty kick ass herself so shout out to your mom for hooking you up Back In The Day and making you the envy of the entire neighborhood. I appreciate you watching my video, my friend thank you.
In the comics shredder was a tall guy so when they made the mold he was to tall to fit in the package so they squeezed him down and that’s why he’s got that weird stance lol 😂
See I always wondered if it was because of some random concept art that was messed up and they just said screw it! I appreciate you watching the video and thanks for letting me know this. I’m glad you liked it
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I love that song. Robocop for the NES wasn’t the greatest game but I remember playing the crap outta it back in the day.
@@derheadbanger9039 I appreciate the information, my friend I knew something had to be up because he was a lot taller than them in the cartoon. I just hate his stance I guess because he can’t stand him up without having issues.
I always considered Bebop to be the cooler character. He's got those 60's style shades and a purple mohawk haircut. He also has those turtle shell shoulder pads ironically. That's an odd looking Shredder...with no chest armor.
Yea I mean I like them both, but man were they stupid or what! But like I said they had to do it otherwise the turtles would have been turtle soup haha. The shredder didn’t have the chest piece until the 1991 release of super shredder.
@@RetroReminiscence yeah I didn’t even start watching the show until ‘89 or ‘90 so they had a good two years to get their stock up, but I thoroughly remember seeing the entire line when I first went to buy one (most likely 1990) and I feel like I’ve owned just about every figure in the 90’s lineup. Muck Man was my favorite figure ever. His sculpt had so much detail and the slime action feature was awesome.
Thanks man! I appreciate you watching the video and commenting. I bought them mostly from eBay before the crazy spike in retro toys. I need to make another video showcasing the 1989 figures.
@RetroReminiscence lol I've just ordered the retro re release figures from 1988 only yesterday on eBay all four turtles, shredder and splinter £120 plus £8 postage
I bought a couple from eBay when I first started. But then I joined a bunch of tmnt pages on Facebook, and forums on the internet and was able to find a bunch like that. I got lucky and got mine before the episode came out. I looked up recently how much they are going for now, and wow! I wouldn’t be able to do it now if I wanted to start collecting
Hello! I love your collection and your video! Great job! What real man doesn't love the turtles? Impossible! I was also a child from the mid 80s to the beginning of the 90s and am currently trying to build my own collection :) And you are right, when I looked for figures ONLY a few months ago, they were sometimes only 100 up to the most expensive which were around 300. Now someone wants 700 for a rated 70 Raphael, and I wanted to ask you if this is a rip or a good price? Because everything over 300-400 I find a little bad shit crazy right? lol And even that's a lot of money today also. And I wanted to tell you that I come from Germany, with us it was exactly the extreme OPPOSITE. The 4 main turtles were ALWAYS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT and the bad guys were ALWAYS there, sometimes they were even sold for 70% cheaper because they just lay around and nobody wanted them at Toys'R us etc. The kids here bought the same turtles 10 times twice instead of a few bad guys that you could beat up, completely stupid LOL. Kind Regards!
Hi! Thanks for watching the videos. I hope you found some tmnt for your collections. I loved toyr r us until they closed all the ones here in the us. I think the prices went crazy because of the show that came out about them on Netflix.
Baxter Stockman (the fly) was impossible to find. It was such a cool figure.

Another great video!, from a up and coming content creator! Love the detail you described in the video! Rock was my favorite bad guy as well!

I use to have Bebop but I lost him as a kid. I love these!! Definitely brought me back!!! Awesome video🙂
Well I’m glad i could bring back some good childhood memories for you. I appreciate you watching jluv it really means a lot!
This was the very first game that my wife and I played together. In person at least.
TMNT was? For the NES?
Retro Reminiscence Yep. Specifically TMNT 2.

I'm game for 1989. Bebop was my first TMNT figure. I'm guessing it was the pink nose because it was when they had just been released.

By the last season of the cartoon Shredder was brought back and he was much more competent, which I liked a lot.

I got a whole container worth of figures in my parents basement. Mostly 1st gen figures. I can't wait to do an inventory to see what I have.
That would be great to see! I bet you got some real gems in there! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it

Nobody messes with the Shredder!
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always loved Shredder. His cartoon voice is iconic! It was uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
I was told the foot soldiers were 1 per case. It was hard to find back in the day and now.
I heard that also from online forums but wasn’t sure. You would think they would pack a ton in each case because kids would want multiples of them.
Shredder has this chrouched stance, because he is supposed to be taller and still had to fit in the same blister than the Turtles.
@@derheadbanger9039 I appreciate the information, my friend I knew something had to be up because he was a lot taller than them in the cartoon. I just hate his stance I guess because he can’t stand him up without having issues.
