hi there well i just talk to my salesperson at the Richmond Toyota and he told me that i will probably be waiting for at least 3years for a Toyota rave4hybred limited does that seem right to you or have you heard?
Would’ve liked to see a year to year comparison. Rav4 Hybrid 2019-2023 I want to see if getting an older used one would be better than the newest if the specs and tech aren’t that different. A full disclosure of issues like recalls, engine problems, and electric failures in certain models would be nice to know as well.
I have a 2008 v6 sport rav4, 260000 plus miles, I wish that wait times weren’t so long but it looks like I’ll be holding onto it until it’s dead at this rate. Mine has the fog lights and moonroof as well as fwd, cargo net and privacy screen. This video has been a great breakdown of the various models. I don’t need heated seats I live in Texas lol
When I went at the End of Feb, they asked me to pay a deposit and wait for 9-13 months. But when I called them back last week, I was told they are getting one on 24th and I paid my deposit for it !!!!!!!
I went in a month ago to put in an order for the XSE as they weren’t taking any orders for the cruiser. They called me 2 weeks after and said they have 2 new cruisers that I can pick from if I am interested. Stock has really come in the last few weeks.
Do all rav 4 come with an alarm system or just the higher up trims? Current kia owner here who recently went through a "kia boys" attempted theft even with the club on. I rented a 2020 hybrid xse and fell in love but the price for the newest model is super steep for me. The rental didn't have the technology upgrade and you could definitely hear it in the speakers 😓
Whats the use of a buying guide? I am still waiting for my RAV4 hybrid after 1 year of putting the deposit down and still no confirmed date for even building it!
Any inside news on Toyota increasing inventory? Having 6+ months wait can't be good for business since there are other options from competitors more readily available
You are very knowledgeable on the hybrids. However the fact is there is no inventory available in the country. The wait times are ridiculous to get what you want. Also the prices on Toyotas are ridiculous on the Rav hybrids. For what you pay for the Rav limited you can get a Highlander non hybrid limited fully equipped.

No. You have to choose between 3 packages 1 .convenience package (Moonroof, power lift gate) / 2. weather package (auto wipers, heated front seats, heated steering) / 3. both.
Well first, u present the xle model as having a heated steering wheel as standand equip, but no. I have to pay $925 us for the xle weather package to get it. You should also mention ur reviee is based in canadian dollars, this way i can skip it if iam looking for US models. Too bad i vant post pics when commenting.
You tried brother but Toyota could not have made more complicated then this !!!! I don't understand their method. Imagine a 75 year old lady in a dealership faced with this complex choices !!!!!! why not keep it SIMPLE (kiss principal) 🤔
I don't think it's so much an inability to wait as it is an expectation that promises are kept. Many people have been waiting for double or more what they were initially told by their dealer, which can be problematic when you take into account that they may have only planned to keep their current vehicle running for that original estimated time. Now they've had to spend more money on maintaining an older vehicle that may require quite a bit of work to remain drivable, not to mention increases in MSRP and finance rates. I think it's also important to note that there are RAV4s available, only the majority of them made are being shipped south into the US, where they don't have the same wait time issues that we face in Canada. When I placed my order in April 2022, US customers were waiting about 6 weeks for delivery, and my expected wait was 6 months at the time. It's now been 13 months, and my ETA is into July 2023. To his credit, these are very much so decisions made at a paygrade far higher than Marcello and our dealerships, but it's the Canadian consumers at the bottom of the hill who end up holding the bag. So it's not exactly fair to say that people aren't able to wait, I think for most of us, we're just fed up with being on the short end of the stick.

Why bother when there is barely any inventory and crazy wait times....Toyota is disappointing me now.

We were lucky, we paid a deposit for Corolla cross like 2-3 months ago and it should be here by the 20th at the latest, can’t wait!!!

A dealership in Barrie told me 9ths to 1 year for any hybrid. Sigh

XLE Premium is indeed an attractive package. Would it be possible to add perforated seats and integrated dashcam to it?

Get some inventory , otherwise you will loose a lot of your prospective customers, playing with inventory to jack up prices, will just turn off .

hybrid not even an option until toyota addresses the high voltage cable corrosion issue that they refuse to include in the hybrid equipment warranty
From my understanding, that was an issue with the 2022 model but has since been addressed for the 2023 model
