Mu is Camu Tao who died of lung cancer in 2008 at the age of 30. If you want to hear him rap check out “Rickety Rackety” from Aesop’s 2005 EP - Fast Cars, Danger, Fire & Knives
One of the cards that has a Suicide King on it is the King of Hearts, which is the name of Camu Tao’s album and I believe his nickname, since the album was created posthumously
Feel kinda bad for people that don't know about Aesop for years and years. Been following that genius lyricist for decades now. If you don't know, check out early Atmosphere, their Headshots 7 album, Overcast album, Lucy Ford and God Loves Ugly albums. Atmosphere started a label in the mid 90s called Rhymesayers Entertainment. That label has had the best lyrical MCs in the game for decades. Check out Eyedea, Brother Ali, Mf Doom and a younger cat that's been impressive called Afro.
I first encountered Rhymesayers with Dilated Peoples around '99/2000, then Eyedea, Abilities, DOOM, Aesop, Mac Lethal, Brother Ali, Prof, Sa Roc, ... all absolute monsters on the mic!
@@CliffSedge-nu5fv Well then obviously you know Atmosphere which Slug started the label. But if haven't yet, do check out Headshots 7 album and Overcast. Then compare to what was going at the times for mainstream rap. Little known fact, Dre approached Slug b4 Em, Slug passed because of his Rhymesayers Entertainment label. Thank God he did or might not have heard or seen some of the MCs you listed.
@@CliffSedge-nu5fv I'm a hardcore/progressive metalhead that was fortunate enough to catch early Atmosphere at a small show. Changed my life. Was usually the metalhead that puts people on great lyrical hip hop. Hearing from people like you gives me hope that lyrical hip hop and real heads/fans are still out there. Today's rap is garbage comparatively...
@@CliffSedge-nu5fv N the Prof thing kinda had to happen sadly. Was some women abuse allegations. Never proved tho. I love Prof also. He's still killing it!
I believe it was the Saturday morning cartoon G.I. Joe that had little PSA type messages at the end. Where kids were making poor decisions, and joe would step in say something to set them straight then end with "now you know, and knowing is half the battle"
And then listen to the entire Spirit World Fieldguide album. It is a _trip._ Some bangers include Gauze, Jumping Coffin, Kodokushi, Coveralls, Holy Waterfall, The Gates, .. never mind, I'm just going to name every other song on that record. Wall to wall hits.
There are a few songs of Immortal Technique that i have listened to on repeat for years (Dance with the Devil, Point of No return, and some mor, but definitely need to get into more.
@@SaeedReacts. I neglected to mention Aesop is also on that Rhymesayers Entertainment label as well as the others I listed except for Immortal, Ra the Rugged Man and Vinny Paz. Those Atmosphere albums were from 1997-2002 i listed. Slug was untouchable. Check out what I listed. You will be impressed bro bro
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the ''get out the car'' alludes to him being parked outside the shrink's office. Shrunk comes right after this one on the album. PS: you remembered my comment about the shitty touch, thank you.
@@SaeedReacts. just watched your reaction! Dude I’m going to binge all your Aes reactions. You catch a lot on first listen. Kuddos! Jumping Coffin and Side Quest are two I’d recommend.
Hi, I love your channel. react to the group Little Mix (described as the best girl group in the world of this generation) please, they are incredible, they sing and dance a lot. I think you will like them a lot!!!!🥰❤🙌🏼

Thanks man. Great job as always
Thanks! Appreciate it! See you on the next one 👊
The king of hearts is known as the suicide king because it depicts the king putting a sword through his head
His name I believe was pronounced kuhMOO TAYoe and they were very close. He still references Camu in songs, even on ITS
Thanks for letting me know!
Keep up the good work man, great reactions!
Thanks, brother!
Gopher Guts 🙏🏾🙏🏾. Loving these reactions so far
Thanks! Appreciate that 🙏🏽
I second this suggestion! ❤
Thrice

death... where have you been all my life... The haunting Camu Tao, what a beauty.

Thanks for letting me know about that! Dont think i have seen those.
Definitely check out “Holy Smokes” from his 2005 EP. Not nearly enough reactions to it.
Will add it to my list. Thanks.

Will add that one to the list. 100 feet tall reaction coming later today.
Klutz was my jam for the longest time - it's just so hypnotizing! The official music video is a must when you check it out!

The whole Rhyme Sayers stable is amazing. They lost a lot of weight when Prof left, though.
