MERSEDES-BENZ W222 FROM W221 FOR 3000$!

A day ago I laid out the material about how a little-known tuning studio from Bulgaria gives the old "five" BMW E39 the appearance of modern and fashionable BMW F10. And the work is carried out at a fairly high level: a layman is unlikely to be able to distinguish a fake from the original. Today I want to talk about another similar project: this time the national craftsmen from Ukraine distinguished themselves, who made a reworking of second-hand Mercedes-Benz S-Class of the previous generation W221 in the new W222.
The source for the alteration is a fairly second-hand Mercedes-Benz S 550 W221 on Chinese wheels
The reason for the demand for such works is extremely clear: in the secondary market, the second-hand W221 can now be bought for 15-20 thousand dollars, while for the current 222-th even in the initial configuration with weak motors ask at least 80,000 USD.
The biggest difficulty is the development of native wings for new parts from W222
Behind also had a little work
Customization takes place according to the usual pattern: the used W221 is thoroughly "undressed", by removing the bumpers, optics, radiator lining, hood and trunk lid. In their place are installed new (or from broken machines) parts from the fresh W222 with further adjustment of the body lines and contours with the help of welding and putty.
The technical stuffing and interior of the car are not touched, the main emphasis is exclusively on the exterior of the car. At the output it turns out quite plausible and similar to the original, although a detailed examination of the eyes still throw a characteristic longitudinal body padding and door handles from the W221.
By the way, the side mirrors and light alloy wheels were also replaced by those from the "222nd".
As a donor, absolutely any S-Class W221, which was released from 2006 to 2013, is suitable. In a particular case, the basis was taken pre-style S 550 with a 5.5-liter petrol engine M273 rated at 388 hp. - one of the most common and inexpensive modifications of the "221-th" on the market. The mileage of the car is 230 thousand kilometers.
And now let's move to finance: now this replica of the 222nd S-Class is put up for sale at a price of 50 thousand dollars, and as I wrote above, this W222 can be bought in Ukraine for 80-100 thousand USD. So is the game worth the candle? The question is rhetorical ...

hi i love how your work came out looking great, im working in similar conversion , 2008 s550 but i can make the lights works, how do you make it work. i bought the w222 plugs but i don't know what kind of hardware do i need to turn them on, what i have to do.
