  • Thanks for dropping by. Today I filmed the changing of the engine oil in a 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck. The process is very straight forward and with as tall as these trucks are, access below is easier than most. There are no accessories or plates you need to move out of the way. The process is simple:
    1. Pull drain plug, catch old oil, reinstall plug
    2. Remove engine oil filter
    3. Lube new filter gasket, install new filter
    4. Add 7 qts of your favorite oil
    5. Check dip stick for proper fill level
    6. Check for leaks…DONE
    5W-30 Valvoline Synthetic oil
Wix XP - 51372XP filter or just 51372 in your favorite brand
Poured oil from catch pan back into oil jugs and took to auto parts store for recycle.
    Hope this helps someone!
    God bless.

***Using filter wrench to tighten is not customary as most people will over-tighten.****
I did because I couldn’t get a good grip and was careful not to Hulk hand it. Use at your own risk.

Good to the point video, thank you.One thing I thought the 6.2 preferred a synthetic blend?

Thanks! My manual says any API oil will work. Curious where you heard that?

@fishing4dinner I believe it was a Google search but I asked my mechanic today and he said he uses only full synthetic in all his vehicles but does have a motor craft blend if the customer requests it.

@@andyamysarizonaadventures5450 sounds right. Standard motorcraft oil is a blend but they also sell a full. I think any brand & blend is good enough for us average joes
