    The most recent example I can recall of a static market movement was, the Leo Messi transfer news, if you had reacted quickly enough to this you could of backed Paris SG in the Outright market for Champions League at 7.0, with the confirmation of the transfer they are now 4.50, which is quite a nice move to say the least......and my next comment is actually my main question.....

    Random question but could someone explain the white boxes on betfair the ones left of the back and right of the lay, 1. it doesn't let me put bids in under the odds 2. how would I put a bet on at odds of 1.05, do you have to wait for the dds to reach that stage or is it through software?
    Thanks

    • @shadowwarsshadypeople6299
      @shadowwarsshadypeople6299 2 года назад

      Did you figure it out yet? If not..you can place you back/lay and keep it open until that price is reached. You can do it from betfair or software

    • @CaanBerryProTrader
      @CaanBerryProTrader  2 года назад

      They are prices where money is waiting to be matched, yet supply and demand has not met those prices yet. Future prices if the exchange moves that way.

    So the example I will use say is i a high volume EPL Premier league game where you have your typical market favourite price up at 1.71 - 2.0. If you then decide that there is no value offer in this pre off situation, and allow to monitor the prices inplay, suddenly you see an opportunity of backing the market fav at 4.0 due to a surprise early goal against them, Question: Is this technically perceived as value and beating the closing line of 1.71 - 2.0 pre off, or NO, its a separate new market inplay, and not overlap the closing price with the inplau price. Thanks as always...

      @@bvmarkbvmark6714 That's not true. Edges come from all manner of things - human behaviour, market conditions, limitations and characteristics... they aren't limited to one sport. The media like to make people think its to do with 'knowing about football'or something. Looks at the big successes, it's far from the case. That said, paradoxically, knowing about the situation at hand can help you define edges.

  • @Jono121uk
    @Jono121uk 3 года назад +3

    Caan would this be a situation that would work
    A twitter tipster dropping a horse to his followers and him cashing out when the price drops?
    Also have you ever met someone who bets on draws and makes a profit?
    Thanks for the video and your time

    • @CaanBerryProTrader
      @CaanBerryProTrader  3 года назад +1

      It would be an option for them, presuming they moved the price. If someone would do that ethically is another thing though I guess... where money is involved, I wouldn't be suprised.

      That's an interesting angle cheers Jono and though I don't follow any tipsters (so am unsure on how many punters they actually influence), it did make me think does something that definitely has a big reach like the televised meets have the same effect too? I always think loads of people must lump on off the back of whatever the TV pundits say, and it'd be interesting whether or not there's a correlation between what ITV Racing for example say 20 mins before race start and what happens to price afterwards.

    Hi caan, very nice video , i am an tennis trader , can you explain more about tennis , in this video you had gave explain for football and horse racing , can you please explain more about tennis , how to find value bet and less risk and in which movement we should bet for low risk

    • @CaanBerryProTrader
      @CaanBerryProTrader  3 года назад

      Sounds good, there is lots with Tennis too. You need to think about market dynamics and the limititations to find advantages. For example, the pressure point in the markets at the end of the first set that is often coupled with the second set first servers pressure. The same methods of value, trading and arbing etc all apply. It's finding the right situation with the right reason.

      I usually trade WTA because lots of break happens , so my style is , whenever favourite is down with break i back them with my first stake and trade out when they break back , if they don't then i have to put my next stake with double ,so that i get green , but if favourite is no where in the game i have to take big red. So in that case what should i do?

    Doing multiple sports is a quick way to the poor house .follow one sport and narrow that down as much as you can follow and learn you soon have a edge.I do graded racing at monmore Sheffield sometimes other tracks but primarily at tracks above you find load of price ricks because bet365 go of the racing post tissue
    Once again backing on multiple sports will lead to guessing and making miskates
    Caan you should know this too

    • @CaanBerryProTrader
      @CaanBerryProTrader  3 года назад +1

      Not really. Multiple sports whilst learning can be a bad idea with split focus certainly. I wouldn't advise doing that! However, edges and advantages form from knowing the marketplaces too - they aren't confined to one sport. Sporting knowledge could help create an edge, yes. But it's far from the be and end all... human behaviour fascinates me and produces edges in the marketplace, but humans are still betting and reacting emotionally be it racing, football, cricket, tennis or any other. You're right in one sense but think you're self-limiting in another. Hope that helps!

      Personally I disagree, the media would have you believe that making money is about the sport but it's just not. It's more about the financial market and the people using it, the horses or footie players don't pay out the bets, its the market activity and the people betting on them.
