Quite surprised they were pushing this in 2005, but I guess that DVD was still a little on the pricey side to have for something like this. Are there headphone sockets for these too? But, if you're after other portable VHS players, you could look at those camcorders from the '80s, they took full sized VHS tapes! Also makes everything you film look like it's in the 1980s :D
Me too! Especially at the steep price point! It does have 2 headphone sockets, which is crazy, too haha. That’s cool! I’ll have to check them out haha, I have a camcorder from ‘99, but it takes the mini tapes

I couldn't imagine anything more annoying than Disney blaring at the back of your head when you're trying to drive :D Yeah, the big VHS ones are pretty cheap on eBay now, they often come in these massive rugged plastic cases that scream "this is a serious piece of expensive equipment" :D

Great video! I had several of these. I was making my games portable when I used to find these in thrift shops. These are a little over done I think; especially when portable DVD players were out by then. Best buy had some similar these and Dvd Portable in 2000 that were very expensive. I used to have a portable vhs's from the early 80's and I found a u-Matic VCR too, the Sony VO-6800. I wish I kept! ...At that time, I was graduating in Electronics and Computers in college and I remember of a similar portable was brought in 1999 that needed fixing. Thanks for the video! I still have a couple of old and unusual tech that I collected over the years, mostly video game stuff. The coolest vcr I ever worked on was the first marketed vcr , the Sony VO-1600. It belonged to the drafting teacher in college and that thing was a beast. ...Great menories!
VCP? I was born in ‘96. My parents always referred to our VHS player as VCR so that’s the name I’ve always called these things. I guess you’re right though, this isn’t a recorder, it’s a player! 😂
