The Blessing 2 Dusk is a fantastic all-rounder IEM that handles any genre of music excellently. A stylish, comfortable package that will give even many iems nearing $1000 a good run for their money!

It's challenging to compete with the impactfulness of a dynamic driver for bass and sub-bass. Sonion and Knowles do appear to be getting much, much closer with their flagship vented subwoofer series of BAs. I'm excited to see where all this development ends up, because BA drivers have such potential.
Nice review. You explain your findings in a very understandable way and the way of using tracks to do it, is working well. It helps understand how this IEM stands out. Sub made, I hope you continue like this. I would like you to do a video of your gear and why THIS is your gear; hardware and software to understand your reviews better.

I don't really listen to music a TON but when I do, I like to enjoy it. I'm looking into getting these over the HD 660s because I hate headphones. They give me a headache and the pressure from headphones on my pressure points around my ears make me feel nauseous and sick. It's rather quick too. IEM's have been my only answer so far for comfortable listening experiences. My only concern is hearing loss, price, and quality of enjoyment. Something I listen to a lot though is ASMR, so I hope to find some IEM's that aren't breaking the bank to enjoy everything.

You can get the filters from Shenzen cheap and they give you the tweezers too.

Golden, after waiting weeks in shipping delays in the states, my Blessing Dusk is in a town an hour and a half away! This vid has me even more excited than I was to get my hands on these! How do these compare to the Dunu SA6 in terms of listening to wide variety of genres
They should fix that filter thing for sure, not a smart design. Anyhoo, I love these IEMs - just pure fun with great mids, punch in the bass and smooth highs with just enough energy to suit my tastes. They totally changed my perspective on what IEMs (esp at this price) can do, holy cow. Having owned the OG Andromeda, ER2XR, Senn IE8, Triple.fi 10 etc. these are something else. Can't wait to take my next long walk with them going through my music library.

@@lukakapanadze6179 Hard to say, but iems generally would not be my choice when running with the cables and all that. Haven’t actually tried tho. Airpods pro work well for me there.

Anyway i've been listening to some of your test tracks and we've got very similar music tastes! I wanted to ask whether there was a sub $600 step up from the BS2 dusk? What would you recommend?
I got the Blessing 2 a week ago and I'm enjoying it more than my Sennheiser HD6XX, it's also my first IEM and didn't expect enjoying it so much. I'm looking forward to my next IEM. :D
how is it for gaming ? I was thinking to get them for apex legends
@@seigemain It's great! I haven't played Apex Legends for a while so I can't say about this game in specific, but in Valorant I found it to be better than my previous Sennheiser HD6XX, which is the benchmark headphone nowadays.
The Blessings 2 has great details which should help you a lot for gaming. But take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm no expert in audio or anything, it's just my experience with both.

Hey this is a totally weird and unfair comparison but how would you compare these with an LCD-X? I'm sure technicalities are better on the X but I just mean in terms of fun like the way you described in this video. I'm planning to maybe get both.
I only ask because I feel like the FR and tonalities seem similar on paper

Do you have the Moondrop Starfields? If so, would you consider the Blessing 2 an upgrade to the starfields?
Yes. They are NOT 3 times better, but they're better. The bass is tighter, soundstage is wider and tuning in the high end is a bit less painful. I've listened to both an awful lot before selling my Starfield and KXXX. No reason to hang on to worse iems

Yeah, that was my one real concern was just the treble extension, and namely, the upper treble air (which I'm a sucker for), specifically. But nonetheless, these seem great. Good review. Be interested in seeing your Chord reviews. Btw, how airy is the Arya? And Good job 👌🏼

using IEMs with a desktop source only? that's pure craziness as far I'm concerned, the only reason to buy an IEM over regular headphones is to use it portably anyway
Couldn't agree more. The IEM "hobby" doesn't make sense to me without an accompanying interest in full-sized headphones or loudspeakers. They're a way of portably capturing some aspects of your favoured sound, but they're inferior in sound, comfort, and every other facet.
I just listened using my Mele and they sound amazing at $50 bucks.....
Definitely give the Mest MKII a go.
The original blessing isn't an all ba set. It is the same driver config as the blessing 2

I have no idea how certain other headphone reviewers have been doing this for years and never thought to play the music out loud that they're listening to at the start of the video. Nice touch.
Blessing 2's rule because they cut off any sensible person's iem journey. As I see it, it makes zero sense to upgrade to anything else beyond these sub $1000
Most reviewers deliberately avoid doing so because the music gets claimed, and the video is demonetised.
I do it because I don't care if the video makes money, and I feel it makes the videos better, which is much more important to me :)
In my other vids I also use various music to illustrate certain points about the product

Hello GoldenSound. Thanks so much for a great review. Tim Connor has referred me to your channel, as I am a great fan of his. This has been a struggle for me , I have been on the stage for more than 15 years as a vocalist and have always looked for really great listening rig in terms of reality, stage etc. with IEM it has been miss and fail experience. I had 64 Audio U 18t or JH 16 pro. And liked both for different reasons but there was always something missing. Are these the kind that bring realism of instruments ? And if the the sky was the limit what would you recommend , as the no compromise sound? Is it possible in IEM? I find that full cans always make the IEM,s sound like toys. Or perhaps I had bad experiences. As a source I have astell&kern sp1000 and for full cans I add holo audio azure amp. Anyway would be grateful if you could share your thoughts. Thanks Darek.

Sir i m currently running a shitty earphones m thinking of getting a new headphones but m not sure which i m a huge pink floyd fan i also listen to some more rock and edm music and m comfused around Sennheiser hd 560s akg k702 and beyerdynamic 880/990 pro (250) all these 3 are basically of same cost here in india
I think i can spare some cash and get some ifi zen air dac combo as it is cheap or i should go with zen dac v2
I will be greatfull as you are one of that actually know the sound signature and what could be the best

Great review. I'm considering buying this, also considering the Dunu SA6 or est112 but can't make my mind up. Good problem to have.
EST112 has some tuning issues, so you may want to watch some reviews from people who post graphs. This is especially true as more companies are looking to make EST into an upper-mid-fi offering. On a side note, Ive heard good things about the Mofastest EST equipped IEM, but they appear to be available solely through Penon Audio, so judge that relation how you will.
What kind of DAC would you use with these IEMs for desktop use (conference calls, gaming with discord and music) if you also want to make use of an (inline) mic?
When it comes to dac's you essentially just want one that is transparent and use a good amp to get the best out of your headphones and iem's. You can then EQ whatever you like.
@@Sukimaye what would be a good one with mic support then? I ordered the Schiit Hel 2. I'd also welcome the THX Onyx but I'd prefer a dedicated desktop DAC. I believe the Creative G6 is a bit lower quality (e.g. hiss sound) compared to the former 2.
I rec using a cheap desktop USB mic or Rode Clip-on mic, no need to use a mic on the IEM for me but maybe you have a different situation.

I have my trusty Shure SE535s, still looking for an upgrade.
IEMs have come a long way since the 535s were the king of the hill. Shure is barely a name that comes up anymore. Unfortunately, flavour of the month chi-fi has dominated much of the market, but the resulting competition has been healthy and you can get much better sound for your money now, in the form of respectable well-built products too. You might not have to spend nearly as much as you did on the 535s for a substantial upgrade that will last you another 10 years.

But the Apple dongle sounds so meh compared to even a cheap sony dap :D My take on it is I wouldn't even buy an iem over 100 bucks if all I had was that dongle.
But yah I know what you mean. If a person is not like us with a crapload of audio gear and doesn't plan on owning more iems or headphones then I guess just stick with the dongle. Those types of headphone users may not even care to discern between different dap sound anyway.
