I love the striped bass. I love their aggression towards bait and lures. The wiper is even more loved they just hit it like a freight train and fight like champs. So glad they exist. Definitely the best fish
Glad you liked the vid Brandon. Over the next few weeks I'll be posting more footage, and full length episodes to myfishingcapecod.com/tv in case you're interested. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Great footage! Thanks for sharing. I like seeing the striped bass swim in schools and also see them attack the lure. Very clear and steady footage for underwater.
Great footage; thank you. I recently rescued a Striper from a local market - to keep as a pet for a while, before releasing him - and he destroyed his tank...he was just too powerful. Pure Power. He's back in the ocean now...
Those takes and follows were half-hearted. If I had to guess I’d say they were already sated on sand eels. One of those, “You should have been here yesterday” moments.
I'm just glad the weather and the fish cooperated on this trip Bruce. I got very lucky capturing these images. More to come soon! Thanks for tuning-in! 🙌🏻
Sweet this footage is awesome, I’ve been fishing in RI and all I’ve been doin is tryin to dodge bluefish, I never seen so many blues especially when they’re bigger then the stripers, I’m hoping there passing through an then the cows start to roll in but still fun nonetheless... 🤙🏼🤙🏼
That’s an awesome video but that makes me believe that’s the worst fishing bait in the world to go through that many fish before getting one hooked LOL
LOL! I understand your point for sure! However I was not working the lure correctly, plus I had a camera on the line. If I was fishing to catch fish (and not catch footage) then I would have lifted the metal off the bottom, and allowed it to flutter naturally through the water column. This would of produced a lot more bites than simply dragging the metal through the school (a technique which produces good footage but not many bites).
Yes, that is a good observation! A slower retrieve, and allowing the jig to flutter down through the water column, probably would have been more effective than a straight and fast retrieve.

Right on! Thanks for the comment and tight lines out there 👍

Glad you liked it Vil! And I definitely lucked out capturing that underwater footage.

Glad you liked the footage. And that is a wild story about rescuing a striper! Good for you!
Great video! Pretty neat to see so many fish out there.
Pumped you enjoyed it Gregory, and I agree, it's awesome to see the fish doing their thing. 🎣
very cool video! I've never had the chance to go fishing for striped bass yet but hoping I can get out this season!
Glad you enjoyed it. Gluck fishing this year!
The sand eels are super.
So cool watching those sand eels bury themselves into the sand, just in the nick of time before the school of stripers arrives on scene.
Love it, the sand eel part is awesome, new sub here, see you out there, thank you for the time and sharing 👍
Mag
Thanks for the sub!

Good observation Glenn. This footage was captured towards the end o the feed.
Love it! Thanks!
Glad you like it!
There's so many!
I know! It was an amazing school of stripers.
Wow they were all over that jig this time! Lots of takers
Nice video 👍

Very nice video!
Thank you very much!
Props to the good footage. I'm sure it took some time.
I got lucky on this day, but yes, it often takes many hours of effort to get just one or two good shots. Thanks for watching!
Cool!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Very cool, lots of sub 27s out there the last few days. How did you video that, what kind of equipment/rig?
Glad you liked it Tom. For this video I used a Spydro camera amzn.to/2YdyZP1
I could have swore the one going after the lure in slow motion at the end was looking at the camera!
He very well might have been! I can only imagine the stripers are curious about the camera too.
I'll be in New Jersey in july fishing for these
Nice! Gluck Thomas! I hope it's a productive season for bass down there.
Sweet this footage is awesome, I’ve been fishing in RI and all I’ve been doin is tryin to dodge bluefish, I never seen so many blues especially when they’re bigger then the stripers, I’m hoping there passing through an then the cows start to roll in but still fun nonetheless... 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I'm glad you like the video, and thanks for the Rhode Island fishing report! Good luck if you head out this week. 🎣
what under water cam did u use???
I was using the Spydro camera for this shot
This proves how hard these fish are to catch , u went past hunderds of them and not one got hooked
Yes they can definitely be tricky to hook when they want to be!
Underwater camera?
Yes sir. I was using a Spydro camera.
I just moved to the New England area from CA I can’t wait to start striper fishing out here. #StriperPorn lol 😂
Awesome! What state did you move to? We are definitely blessed with some awesome saltwater and freshwater fishing here.
That’s an awesome video but that makes me believe that’s the worst fishing bait in the world to go through that many fish before getting one hooked LOL

What did you use to film?
Hey Tyler, it's called a Spydro camera. Check it out! 👍🏻
Nice video 👍
Footage was amazing and alive!!
Pumped you enjoyed that clip! Stay tuned for more!
Wow, looks like a ton of bass simply passed on that lure.
Yes, that is a good observation! A slower retrieve, and allowing the jig to flutter down through the water column, probably would have been more effective than a straight and fast retrieve.
Ah, the seas of Animal Crossing.
Do these guys know how delicious they are?
I just died laughing. But yes, do they?
