Thank you for finally coming to the land where all adventure motorcycles need to come and be tested. Thank you for creating an answer to the "king of the hill".... Twould have been nice to give it some more serious testing...involve local bikers like us who know roads that have the scenery, also the torture this bike requires to prove itself.

Here in Philippines. We Filipinos are seeing the ironman endurance challenge and 3 of the participants of it are using Ducati multistrada. The performance of Ducati multistrada are superb.

Loving all the negative comments from jealous BMGS owners, why are there so many GSs at Ducati dealers?
Recently traded in my Multistrada V4S, as a Ducatisti I was a little disappointed, this Rally needs 21/19 wheels, (of course then your talking the Desert X territory) higher handlebars for those off-road excursions, beefier skid plate, and offer an optional ACC, BSM package as I never had mine activated (2021 model) save some more $$$ and use that for other more practical mods. Great to see them trying to get in par with multiple adv bike options as BMW GS and Triumph Tiger.

En 2022 me compré la Multestrada V4S. Y enseguima me di cuenta que me faltaba autonomía, sobretodo porque estaba acostumbrado a mi anterior moto, una BMW1200 ADVENTUR.
En cualquier caso estoy muy contento con la compra que hice y la estoy disfrutando mucho.
También me compré la bici, RR, y la verdad no sabría decir que estoy disfrutando más.
En cualquier caso, volvería a comprármelas, y os doy la enhorabuena por las dos.

The front mudguard is too close to the tyre for a dedicated off road 'Rally' version. Thick mud and large stones can get jammed between tyre and mudguard.

I hope ducati sends the multistrada v4 rally to brazil, as we are one of the countries that buys the most motorcycles in the world, including premium ones. v4s doesn't even have color options to choose from, which is disrespectful to the consumer.
Sono possessore da un anno di una v4s,grandissima moto,grandissimo motore ne sono totalmente innamorato,e sinceramente non capisco per quale motivo Ducati ha partorito questa versione nonostante hanno in catalogo la Nuova DESERT X....
Già la mia può fare tranquillamente quello per cui è stata concepita questa versione pur avendo 8litri di meno nel serbatoio.

Percui se cè qualcuno che deve imparare qualcosa questo sei propio tu.
Della mia cambierei: i poggiapiedi più grandi (per stare meglio in piedi) la leva freno ribaltabile come le vecchia 1260 enduro e Desert X, sospensioni a corsa più lunga (non un esagagerazione tipo 200mm) e un po più di autonomia! Ecco che la Ducati mi tira fuori la rally che è proprio quello che avrei cambiato della mia V4S. Almeno due cose le posso cambiare con parti della Rally 😅, mi toccgherà aspettare e provarla per vedere come va e soprattuto che aggravio di peso ha in più rispetto alla S

Would have loved to have seen a belt drive version from the XDiavel, and Sygic multi-media replaced with CarPlay, but otherwise great job Ducati!
Belt drive will not work on a bike designed to go off road. One rock and the belt and pully are shot.
@@revilok8698 Well that's overstating the obvious. But it's ideal for a heavy-weight long-distance tourer, and it wouldn't; be the first Adv-styled bike to feature belt drive. For those who don't want to take their $32k investment off-road, but do want to tour coast-to-coast, it makes much more sense. They'd simply get customers to sign a disclosure to confirm 'off-road use may invalidate the warranty of the final drive-system'.
@@RichDunn OK, I get it. You're one of those that are just too lazy to maintain a chain. I have no problem with that, and I get that many would not want to take their $32k toy off road as many BMW GSA riders barely go further than the nearest Starbuck's. However, it is not cost effective for a manufacturer to offer both types of final drives on a single model. Not only that, but when you make a motorcycle named Multistrada, meaning Many Roads, it would be quite hilarious to have to ask a customer to sign a disclaimer that off-road use may void the warranty. There are MANY other choices for long distance touring that use a belt or shaft drive if that is your preference.

3 minutes speaking about the 30L tank.... oh my.... but the suspension aids are great idea! to be seen if they solved the fuel consumption which so far on the others is high. It seems still a high reving engine.
If you want fuel economy, go buy a Vespa. 170hp getting in the mid 30's mpg is awesome on a motorcycle. Lol!
@@revilok8698 haha easy to attack from behind your device. It is clear that type of engine is not as economic but you talk about a globetrotter and to be a good one fuel economy is ESSENTIAL. If it fails again Ducati will miss the opportunity here.
@@AMPJ08 who's attacking? If you think I'm attacking you, you are way too sensitive! Lol! I have more than 10k miles on my V4S and have had absolutely no issues with touring and range on a tank of fuel. In fact, it's actually perfect as it forces you to take a break every 180-200 miles for fuel and that helps with fatigue on a long days 1k+ mile ride. People are reporting 40+mpg on their bikes all over the internet and I see that as very respectable for such a large bike. You think they have failed? Maybe you should do more research on actual sales rather than making a statement based on a personal opinion. Most of the people that have complained about range are the GS owners that have switched over to the Ducati. It seems that Ducati has listened to its customers and is making every effort to create what they want. I don't see an issue here.

Now all that's missing is a navigation solution that deserves its name. In its current state, DUCATI CONNECT is just embarrassing for a touring bike. To be honest, unusable. too bad because the bike itself is really excellent. Just add Carplay and everyone is happy.

Ducati will you ever focus on a true sport tourer with range and stop focusing on the BMW GS which you have surpassed in tech? I have owned 2 Multis a 2012 Pikes and a 2017 1200S Tour. Most people will never take their Multi off-road like a GS. EXPENSIVE AND HEAVY. Yet they finally make a bike with range and horsepower then, they make it focused really. Already have a Desert X now Rally 4V with a larger fuel tank means weight also now one with really uses all the fuel offroad with a standard tank. Although people will Tour the open paved road further without having to pace themselves from gas station to gas station. Rather have a heavier road Sports Tour with range than a heavy off-road bike. Regular sports bags with all the Rally features should not be hard to do. I mean Radar cruise on a Rally bike off-road. Just my 2 cents. Finally, get Apple caraway and Android Auto for Navigation instead of the problematic Sysgic navigation or whatever it's called come on Ducati. It's time for me to upgrade that's worth it. Not quite there yet. Strictly my opinion!

The problem with these perpetual change of engine, configuration and styling... is that when you've got an accident or a repair...
The dealer are not able to get parts. Ducati had a multisrtada L2 twin that was very good but they've stop the production... an the parts that goes with it. Bmw for an example keep there model for a decade... when you broke... there plenty of parts du to the sales numbers or accident bike that some dealer have access to...
They are required to keep all parts available for at least 10 years after production.

Da Ducatista dico qualcosa che suona come una bestemmia... su moto come questa e la prossima Diavel V4, data la loro natura fatta per macinare chilometri, una trasmissione a cardano sarebbe l'apoteosi.

Plus the rear 2 cylinders deactivate at slow speeds and when under minimal load to help with fuel consumption. That's the claim anyway, so we'll see.
