He can't really do his second phase now, since Fulton is bigger than before. For Fulton, at least he stop relying too much on his overhand right, unlike his fight with Castro.
The problem is that Fulton tried to exchange at mid range with Castro and we all know Fulton is terrible at mid range especially after watching the fight against Inoue. Fulton made lots of changes this time and exchanged on the outside and inside. A really good adjustment from Fulton.

This really felt like rounds 13-24 for these two, except only one of them learned and adjusted. Fulton was comfortable scoring inside the clinches that Figueroa started. Not the prettiest win, but it was pretty one-sided. If Fulton doesn't want to unify right away then I wonder if he's willing to defend against someone like Venado or even Nery next. I was rooting for Fulton hard, though I thought Fig would win. I was wrong and am happy about it. Fulton did look quite off in his previous fight so you really can't blame people for not favoring him to win against Figueroa. But yes, all the shit talk, we don't need that.

This really felt like rounds 13-24 for these two, except only one of them learned and adjusted. Fulton was comfortable scoring inside the clinches that Figueroa started. Not the prettiest win, but it was pretty one-sided. If Fulton doesn't want to unify right away then I wonder if he's willing to defend against someone like Venado or even Nery next. Either of those would be really interesting.
