Man, you got a deal on that 1/12 scale bro! Very cool!
I sure did!
I watched this video last night. Thinking, I'll get the kit later at some point. Woke up this morning, watched this video again. I ordered one. Such a great kit for the money!
Aaaaaa, very cool, it sure is a good kit!
That's a cool kit, it's easier to see the parts.🎅🎄👍👍
Yeah, it's a big kit for sure!
Easier for old eyes and hands to see and handle parrs.😊
@bigcharliesmodelgarage296 So very very true!!
WOW!! How did I miss this? I didn't know it was coming out. This is very clean and with a lot of detail. Thank you Tim for showing this off. Now I've gotta find one.
It's a really nice kit Paul.
No glasses required 🥸😂 Awesome 1/12 Scale, nice Tim, Merry Christmas 👌🎅🤶🎄🏔🦘🇦🇺🍻
🎅🎄So very true KC, and Merry Christmas to you too.👍😊👌
@THROTTLEPOWER Cheers Tim 🍻🇦🇺🦘🪃🏔
I built the original one and man was it fun to build. Mine was molded in orange. Sold it on eBay. So glad it’s out again.
It is a fun build!
I started one of these years ago and put it back in the box. My vision was an 80's street car with the tunnel ram, adding an Accel Super Coil under the hood, lakewood traction bars, jacked up in the back with Cragars on it. Still sitting on the shelf waiting its turn.
Sounds like a really cool build you have planned!
I believe the Revell/Monogram 1/12 scale 57 Chevy had Cragers and rear slicks.
@johnclemans7802 I think so too
Cool kit. I built a 1/12 revell Chip Foose '69 Camaro a few years ago. I added a lot of extra details to it. Can't wait to see you build your kit. 😊
Aaaaaa, very cool John!
That's a really cool kit thanks for sharing 🙂🏁Merry Christmas 🎅
It really is and Merry Christmas to you as well! 🎄🎅
This is really cool. Can't wait to see it when you finish this kit. 😁
Thank you Vinnie
On order just waiting cant wait to get me hands on this one thanks for sharing Tim 👍👍
Cool, it's a really nice kit Seamy.
Wow😮 that's a big kit Tim... Nice score 😉👍.. thanks for sharing
I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing Frank
I've had, and built all the versions. Good to see it again. A big plus - body is molded in white plastic!
I agree!!
That is a tough looking BIG kit! Thank you for sharing this with us Tim. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
I agree Larry it is. Merry Christmas to you too!! 🎅🎄
i seen this in my model store here in Canada a week ago, i had the original one back in 88 i got old poliroid pics of it still.
Very cool!
$50 for that much plastic is an absolute steal. This kit has probably been released so many times over the years that it paid for itself a long time ago and Revell can put it out for so little. I'll have to see if I can find one.
I Wish Revell Or Someone Would Do The Mustang GT Fastback In This Scale
$75 on Amazon.
@@1972Ray yep
@@dwayneedwards7613 I agree Dwayne
Nice looking kit! Love the box art. Just hits you in the face. Thanks Tim.
I agree, it is awesome!
You know I bought the same model kit back in the late 80's from monogram and today I still have it,but I want to get this one, awesome, Merry Christmas to all modelers, safe New Year 🕛🎊
Very cool Jerry..... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well! 🎅🎄
Looks like a great kit. thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you John it really is.
Great unboxing!! I want to pick a few of these up, was also surprised by the price!!!
It is a great kit, and a good deal!
ya the price is cheap for this scale kit.
Great looking kit. Definitely one to purchase. Thanks for sharing.
You bet, glad you enjoyed the unboxing Michael.
Man that thing is huge!!!! Very nice kit.
I know, it's a beast! 🙂
Great video Tim. I bought this and the 57 back in late 80's, had both of them on my coffee table in the living room of my first house. Until I started having kids, lol. Fifty bucks, WOW!!
2 cool kits David from back in the day David. I hear yea, having kids sure changes things up!!!
Very cool kit and 50 dollars, WOW. Merry Christmas!!
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!
This was one of Monograms best big scale kits back in the day. I only wish Revell would give them credit on the box.
I agree James
Great price for a great kit Tim, 😎👍🎁
For sure Tom
Definitely on my wish list Tim! Thanks 😎👍
It's a really nice kit Mike, big, but nice! 🙂
Pretty cool.
It’s just like the regular kits. Just BIGGER!!!
I agree!
Sweet kit, I had this kit back in the late 80s, early 90s - I believe it was a Monogram release originally, and if my memory serves me correctly, it was molded in orange, with molded in black pieces. I built mine with the radials, mags, custom intake with the dual carbs sticking out of the hood. I took apart an old radio for the wires, and they became plug wires. Even though it was molded in orange, I sprayed it with a can of Testors orange.
Sounds like you made a really cool build!
@@THROTTLEPOWER yes, it was a really fun build, and went together beautifully. I used large masking tape for the headliner then painted the tape flat black - crude but it worked. Then the old Testors rattle can paint ran around the bottom, so I sanded the runs off and painted the lowest portion of the body flat black. I gave it away after a few years, don’t remember what happened to it after that - looking back, I wish I would’ve kept it.
@@Outlawmix Yes, that would be a cool build to still have.
That's a BIG ol kit! Looks like a fun one though. Thanks for sharing! And Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Merry Christmas to you too, and thanks!
Nice kit thanks for the look Tim
Thank you Jeff!
I will be getting that kit for sure thanks for sharing it all of us
Cool, it's a really nice kit that I think you will like.
Great unboxing Tim. Yesterday I got 2 in the mail from mega hobby. I think they were 46.00 a piece. I got the original monogram kit from 88 on eBay a few yrs ago for like 200.00. Wish I had waited.
Exactly, 88 bucks is a steal
I remember in the late 80's or very early 90's K&B Toys and Hobbies had these discounted to $15 -$17 each. I scored a couple of them. They also had a 1/12 '67 Corvette 427 Coupe and a 1/12 scale '57 Chevy. I kit bashed a lot of them .
I do have 2 of the Chip Foose editions.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays!
@@johnclemans7802 I loved going to that store!
@@THROTTLEPOWERThe good ol' days, when life was not as complicated as today. Happy Holidays and New Year's to you 🎉🎉
@@johnclemans7802 So very true John and Happy New Years!! 🎊🍾🎉
Thank you so much I watch all your videos man I been doing models since I was a boy in the 70s built hundreds still got most of them got lots of kits I love model cars I just found the jungle Jim Vega 1/16 scale flip body drag car. I was so happy I got two keep one boxed other one to build keep your videos coming brother looking forward to next video I’m gonna get one of these 1969 Camaro models guy had one at flea market wanted $400 I said that’s crazy so now there out again I can get one thank you
It's cool because I did those 1/16 funny cars in the early 70's. That Jungle Jim Vega kit is from 1973. Then, my goal was to put kits together as fast as possible, lol.
Thank you for the kind words Jonny. Very cool to still have most of your builds still. T 1/16 Vega is a nice kit. Yea, definitely pass on the $400
I did the same thing back in the day Ray
That's a awesome kit and I bought two of them and I still have the foose camaro to build Tim lol 😆 😀 😊❤
Very cool!!!
I had it back then glad it's back again I want one
It's a cool kit Adrian
Great kit and priced well. If only Hobby Lobby would get this and it would be part of their 40% off bi weekly sale. I mean,a guy can dream. Lol. Great video.
That would be great!
Gonna have to get one…especially for that price! Great unboxing Tim! I have to pick up the MCG Photoetch set for it.
Cool, I think you would really enjoy the build Frank!
Very cool kit! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!
Thank you Don, Merry Christmas to you too!!
Excellent review Tim. I’ve been trying to snag one for some time. I just snagged 3 at Wes model car corner. Can’t beet it for $49. I’ve printed all the parts to do Grumpy Jenkins 69’ street stock. I’ll be doing a video build series on this one.👍 awesome to see those decals for the wrecker. Maybe some day I’ll be able to snag one of those.
Very cool! Looking forward to seeing the build on your channel.
Great Buy have had all of those issued of that kit great review looking forward to you building it would definitely buy a couple at that price
Definitely a nice kit at a nice price!
I was surprised to see this huge kit not having opening doors. Perhaps that's why is only $50 considering MPC's 1:16 scale Firebird has opening doors and steerable wheels for $40 bucks. It is a beautiful kit though and with a little scratchbuild you can make those doors work. Thanks for posting the review video.
I agree and glad you enjoyed the review video.
Mine is on the way to my house. Can't wait to get it. Thanks for the video.
Cool, thank you!
Thanks for the video. I will be picking up a couple of these in the coming year. There are a LOT of aftermarket folks out there as 3D explodes. I am going for the Pro Street/Drag Car look. Great kit and glad Revell has stepped up their game. Their Z51 Corvette was an exceptional kit IMO.
A Pro Street build would be very cool Kevin!!!!
I bought a brand new out of showroom 1969 Camaro 327 V8 and I wish I still had it... Duh. Oh, did I mention it cost $3000
Oh wow, heck yea Johnny!!!!! Man, do you ever wonder where that car is today?
I have the Monogram kit still sealed, paid 120 bucks for it. Glad I did'nt open it up! I'll definatly get one, maybe two of them. Merry Christmas!
Very cool Frank, Merry Christmas!
I think it would look amazing as a street machine weathered 👍🏻 Merry Christmas.
I 100% agree!!!!!! Merry Christmas 🎅🎄
@THROTTLEPOWER i look forward to seeing how it turns out.
@@Pinkys-one-offs Cool, thank you!
Great deal on a cool kit.
I have 2 of them, one sealed has a 1/25th scale 69 302 twin turbo camaro kit in with it.
Merry Christmas Tim
That's awesome! I would never be able to resist opening that one up. Merry Christmas Charlie
@THROTTLEPOWER it's tempting
@@bigcharliesmodelgarage296 🙂👍
Nice find. All you need now is the 1/12 57 Chevy kit and take the crager mags from that kit and swap them out
Now that would be cool!!
That brings back memories of building mine back in the 90s I think it was.....I still have it packed safely away to this day, I did mine with streeter look.
It was a great, fun build, still one of Revells better kits.
Oh wow, very very cool Josh!!!! I agree, it's a GREAT kit.
FIFTY dollars!? THAT HAS to be a misprint! What a great find!!
I agree!!
thanks for this video and all your other videos this year! and merry christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too!
nice kit. i wish it had the big block and crager ss wheels, i would do a bill grumpy jenkins car.love your vids. merry christmas
Can be done, cobble together from other 1/12 kits - 427 from '67 Vette, Cragars from 57 Chevy, decals from Slixx...
That would be cool Glen
Awesome back when that Camaro kit came out the first thing I did was turn it into a pro street with aluminum back half and brass tubing frame rails I took it to a model show at a shopping mall and everyone was asking where I got the big tires and roll cage I had sent the model companies letters asking if they will be doing any large scale drag models never hear back from them think I still got that first pro street model I built it is black with blue purple and pink stripes along the side of the body
Sounds like a very cool build!
@THROTTLEPOWER yes it was I had a blast building it I wonder what the price tag is at Andy's hobby headquarters here in Glendale Arizona if he has any I have a few original Camaro kits and one that was started and never put together I'll have to dig that Camaro build out of my storage shed and do a video of it happy holidays to you a safe new Year's
@paulcasarez404 Cool.... Happy Holidays to you too!
This is a cool kit. I had to order one after realizing that the price was lowered. 😅 It's also cool that they preprinted the back up lights on the tail lights.
I Gree, it really is a cool kit and a good deal!
Great unboxing Tim. You could do a weathered street machine, kinda like a survivor barn find. I would like to build this kit, but im like you "where do I put it" 🤷♂️ 👍😎
That weathered survivor look would be amazing!
Had this kit when it first came out back in the late 80"s early 90's also had the 56 or 57 Chevy and the black "smokey and the bandit" TA all 3 were 1/12 scale models..when they were originally from Monogram..
That’s awesome, great memories!
Great unboxing, Tim, merry Christmas, brother ✌️🎅
Merry Christmas to you too🎄🎅
I had the earlier reissue and stupidly sold it....if I get Christmas money I'm definitely getting this
I fully understand that as I got rid of an older version too.
Sweet Camaro Brother. Thanx for sharing.
Thanks for watching Hank, I think it's pretty sweet too.
And It's good to hear from you, hope you are doing well.
Thanks for the review. I just got this kit and I have a 1/25 lighting kit from TenaControls that should be a perfect match for this beast. Originally was doing the 1/25 Revell Camaro, but i think it will be better suited for the 1/12. The bulbs are 3mm so was gonna have to shave down, but they should fit perfect for this kit.
Very cool Ben!!!!!
@THROTTLEPOWER thanks. I also wanted to let you know that you've showed me a different building technique that's alot better than my previous experience. I use to paint everything and then assemble which left me gluing and messing up the paint and glue bombs, streaks, etc... thank you for this video as I will build this way from now on. Again thanks. ✌️😎
@@benwebb5476 That's great to hear!!!!!!
I sure would be interested in finding one of those kits I still love building them at 60yrs old
I think you would enjoy the build Tim
Wow!! Huge!!
True!
Great review. I was wondering if it would have the Foose parts in it still. Love that they put in the same style stripes they had in the original Monogram 69. Thanks for sharing Tim. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you Michael and Merry Christmas to you too!
had dis kit 4 some years now just trying to find a bb an a 4 link w/drags deuces wild bro😎
I'm sure there are some resin 3D printed parts being produced at this moment!
That would be sweet 🧁
That would make a really cool build Scooter!!!!
I agree John, especially with all the 3D printer guys out there.
Nice kit, and cheap too. I recently finished Italeri's 1/12 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300m $196! It's a very different kit, but this Camaro looks great.
That's an awesome kit too!
Merry Christmas Tim🎄
Merry Christmas to you too!
Cool kit 😎 69 was a good year 👍
Yep, a good year!!!
Great looking model mate
I hope you have a great merry Christmas with your family and friends mate and a happy new year and be safe guys
Thanks for the well wishes and Merry Christmas to you too David
The seat decals are to replicate the herringbone cloth inserts. Black and White. Pace cars had orange and white and l saw one with yellow and white in 1970.
Correct, they are.
Yeah nice to see they upgraded the decal sheet
Worth 50.00 right there especially if you have the older kit
So true!
I saw one (in box) at Modelzona ( it was a raffle prize...Sadly I did not win) and after watching a couple of videos like yours (thanks for this BTW) I ordered one...I think I will try and build it as road race car something like the"Trans-Am Sunoco Camaro" hopping to see you build yours....Cheers and have a great day everyone
Sure is a nice kit..... Your build will be very cool!! Hope you have a great day too.
I have 4 of the older versions. Two of the orange box art and two of the Foose versions. I would like to build at least one and maybe two of them in the future.
Yes, those will be fun builds!
if only it came with the hidden headlights grill as an option as well
Oh yea, that would be cool!!!
Be nice if someone would make an RS conversion incl. emblems.
@@goratgo1970 I agree
Sweet I need to get one! Have same kit from years ago with a broken hood? Have a great Xmas 🎄to you and yours!! 😎🏆
Definitely a nice kit Dave. Thank you, Merry Christmas to you and yours too! 🎅🎄
The problem with these three and one kits I always have to buy three of them so I can build each version 👍👍
Yes, the options make it hard to choose just one build!
Looks awesome but you think for the size of the kit that they would do the rally wheels in three pieces like the real ones so you have them silver and crome ring and center caps
That would have been a really nice touch.
I have the Foose 1/12 scale 69 Camaro still sealed up.....Im going to get a couple of these kits! Great job on this video my friend. When I build it it will take me a long time...I want to pro street it and add a bunch of details...These larger kits really benefit from adding details.
That sounds like a great build Todd!!!!
A lot of modern action figures are 6 inch, or 1/12 scale. GI Joe Classified, Marvel Legends, etc. They'd be good to go with this kit for photos.
So true Jim
I built one back in 2000 when it was re-released. It got best automotive in show that year at my local model car and the county fair. i have it now in my showcase still looks good. I have been wanting to build another one, but not pay collector prices for one. i may have to pick this release up, but where will I put anther one!
That's awesome about the award!
I had the original issue, and going to buy when it’s available in Canada.
Very cool, hope you can find it!
Thank you so much Tim and for us who don’t have a Hobby Shop they’re on Amazon for 74.99 great looking kid though
You're welcome, and it's a great kit!
Great to see Revell re-pop the Camaro . E-Bay kits are way way over priced ! Glad you scored one !
I agree Joe
That's a great kit but I sold all of my large scale stuff and swore off large scale years ago, I decided I have more than enough 1/25 projects to get through.
I understand that, love the 1/25 stuff.
Belle vidéo 👌 😉. Super 👌 👍 😉 🇺🇸 🇫🇷. Et de France 🇫🇷 Joyeux Noël 🎅 🎄
Thank you Alain and Merry Christmas 🎅🎄
@THROTTLEPOWER Merci beaucoup 👍 😉 🇺🇸 🇫🇷🎄🎄
I'm getting one right now.
Very cool Frank
Wow~ That's gonna be fun!!
I agree
IMO You should make it a daily driver weekend warrior build. If you could actually add the coat hanger antenna and little things from the past would really be awesome.
I agree, a daily driver build would be cool!
I have so many 1:24 Mint diecast Camaros that I've so far not bought any plastic kits of the car. This one is tempting me, simply because of the ability to see full details on a model this big.
However, you are right, where would I put it?
Is $50 the standard price, or is this just one you randomly found somewhere at that price, Tim?
Do I have to come to your local hobby store to get it? 😉
So true Ray.... By now I'm sure most everyone has the kit for sale.
I wish they would ressurect that Ferrari 275 GTB from the 80's.
I agree Don
Now, if they would do my orange '69 SS el Camino in 1/8 or 1/12, I would be thrilled!
👍🙂
Man that is big ! I would be scared I would mess it up ...
It's an easy kit, if you're afraid of paint, do it white.
Seems like a good kit to build Thomas, I bet you would enjoy the build.
So true Ray
Oh damn 1st looks good I didn't know this was a possibility in 112scale and new too I pray we get it in over here very nice tim iv 3 112 scales 2 F1 and 935 baby so need to get atleast syine 112scale jdm or Z fairlady 240z and muscle car would be the cammerro atleast 1 from most genre cars I like I want to collect build but great looking kit thanks for look in box, 👍hope you wife had great holidays and wish you a very happy and successful new year 2025
Thank you Keith and Happy New Year to you too 🎊🎉
I have the Chip Goose version of that model stilling my stash I also have the 1/12 scale model of the 57 Chevy Bel-Air.
Very cool Mark
Just ordered one! Can’t find the photo etched that you showed
They may be on back order now that the kit is out.
That won’t fit in my paintbox for sure😂
Aftermarket needs to get on the upgrades like wheels/tires, engines, kits for opening the doors, pro touring frames🔥
Yeah, it's a big kit!
I Wish Revell Would Do The 70 Chevelle Model Car Kit in 1/12 Scale
I agree Dwayne
I just ordered this kit. I am still looking for the 32 ford 1/16 kit
I believe the 32 Ford kit is an 1/8 or 1/5 scale. I have 2 in my stash.
I hear you, that's a great kit.
That's a big kit. Do they make a 64 Impala 👍🏿
In big scale, I don't think they do.
at 6:20 you can see a cross-ram manifold behind the bumper.
I'm going to have to go look at that tree and check out the cross-ram manifold.
