I love how if you listen to the lyrics its based around a true story during either WWI or WWII I don't remember which, but both sides played a game of soccer in no mans land on christmas
It's based off the 1914 Christmas truce in WW1, it happened in many parts of the war, but the most well-known example for me is was on the British sector of the western front, where boths sides exchanged gifts ( biscuits, chocolates, and other minor luxuries from home) and yes had a game of football ⚽️
Congrats man for the 46k subscribers, coming from the sabaton reddit as i heard the steel commanders and when i seen the vid i was eager to see more.Keep up the good work
It is sabaton.. But feels different... I dont know why. Reminds me of The last stand somehow? Also... this dropped TODAY! How is this in rocksmith already??
Its because this isn't about heroes, last stands, violence, darkness or anything they normally cover. Its about remembering that at the end of the day, everyperson fighting these wars is human.
I think the reason people say it kinda sounds like Home Alone is because they both take inspiration by Carol of the Bells.
Is this like the first actual Christmas song Sabaton have done? I’m digging it, be going straight into my Christmas songs playlist hahaha

It's a great song and video. And thanks for mentioning my favorite band Savatage
This sounds like something Trans-Siberian Orchestra would write
Saboton have always reminded me of TSO. Honestly prefer them to TSO
@@AggressivelyMediocre love both of them, but I don’t think Sabaton reminds me that much of TSO, just certain songs
