I have a 307 with the 2.0 litre diesel and 6 speed auto. Replaced a few parts, and other than general servicing it's been very reliable and is a great car to drive.
I was driving my friends 2007 Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 6 speed automatic and whilst cruising on the freeway at 110km/h, the car shut off. Engine and electrical. I had to pull off to the shoulder of the freeway. A few minutes later it started working and there was no problem. Later after a few more similar shut downs my friend sold the car out of frustration as the Peugeot dealer could not diagnose or fix the problem. It’s a shame as it had a lot of power and torque and the six speed aiding transmission was superbly smooth.
bought 2008 307sw bioflex as second car 2014 and 180000km later its still runnin with no bigger issues. The only thing we have payed service for is a clutch replacement. Cambelt, brakes, calipers, sparkplugs, cables, oil, tires etc is a piece of cake to fix at home. 2 hours for a cambelt operation so its very easy to service with cheap parts You can load a lot in the trunk, bigger than most new electric cars. Skoda enyaq is a lot smaller in the trunk Watch out so you have good earth connection, put some copper paste for better connection
i have a 307 sw had it from 2003 its 2021 NO PROBLEMS with the car wonderful car hdi 2.0d turbo very good engine very good car ,,apart from you drive on the wrong side of the road
I'm looking to buy one as yours. Can you tell me how many revs at 130 km/h ? I look for economy and reliability but this generation has the 5 gears and the ideal would be 6 gears.
@@AC-db4ek yes about 20.000 on the diel but picks up very nice in 5 mine as done 1000.00 still going strong .. with these cars. you can boot them as you like they are shot gun proof .had a d p f changed at 80.000 as advised by Peugeot it cost with labor £800.00 not bad for 20 year old car normal running costs after ((((( but if you are getting this car to drill out the dpf DONT this car was made with one so law to have one . have it checked out before buying some have starting problems mine no problem with that hop this helps bud
It's a Japanese transmission. Asin make transmissions for Toyota also. Probably just needed to change the fluid, sticking solenoids from dirty fluid my guess.

I have 1.6 hdi 110cv 2007 peugeot 307 sw Australian very God car!
Drinks TOO much oil
Basically, avoid. Mine at 78k km, transmission problems. Lesson learnt - Stick with the Japanese / Koreans. Any 'pristege' with French cars is BS.
