@@drewvonporte Very good movie. If that's a sincere answer...what may help enter tournaments and goal setting...break and run the entire masters match...both 8/9 ball.
5:215:22 3 ball combo shot. I determine what spin on object ball required to pot it. In this case left spin. Then work backwards to cue ball which you hit with a little right spin. Do no shoot hard or spin won't take
New format and video quality looking really good, great work on the production! I really like the projected shape zone edits with cue ball travel path as well, it can really help lower skilled players to understand the way a player at the table is thinking and can show them things they need to be considering when they take their shots. I would have made that same error on the 7 ball in rack one 😂 My tangent line estimation is often off because I will look at it from point of contact instead of center of CB so my path is wider than expected, something I'm working alot on. And on rack 2, my answer was follow like the opponent chose. I've heard many times from good players to not take draw shots with BIH unless absolutely necessary and I don't disagree with the logic, we all know the myriad things that can go wrong with those shots!
Holy smokes we can tell the difference in the 4/8 and 1/9/whitey lol. Great jump shot. That 6th match 5 to the 6 lol, made me think of your hold vs send it video...and then get lucky bouncing the ti****s on the side not to scratch. Hey Drew, congrats on the channel. I always thought you looked familiar, then I remembered we played your team once in an APA Southwest Challenge 8 ball tournament several years ago. You shot great, and it looks like you've improved since then. Keep up the good work!

Great video quality! Good wins there and yep, 8-ball is your game but hey you won in 9 ball. Your "premiere" match jump was picture perfect. I have jumped about 20 times now in tournaments in the past two months, the extent of my jump career. 1/4 didn't get over the blocker ball... 1/4 got over the ball but missed the object ball,,, 1/4 were hits, the final 1/4 were a hit and make. ( I am proud that I can do a really close blocker ball jump.) Thanks for the entertainment and keep em hopping.
Wow. Great video quality. Can actually see the difference between the 4 ball and 8 ball now! 😝 Thanks for the shout out. I really enjoy your videos. I feel like the scoreline didn't do this match justice. Will was a great player, especially with his safety. And his run out in the 8 ball rack was first class. Especially that shot to get position on the 4 ball. You also played some great shots. The safety with the 2 behind the 9, and the swerve shot to bank the 3 straight back into the 4 ball. Also I liked the graphic for the masters style match so you can see who won each rack. Not played much pool recently as I have been on the golf course instead making the most of the first sunshine we have had in the UK since September. Just found your channel and glad i did. I'm a newbie SL4 and just learning some spin and position play. I was wondering if you could state which type of spin you are using when you are using some. I have a hard time seeing where you're aiming on the cue ball sometimes. Keep up the great work!
This is great! I’m glad you’re finding something useful! I don’t use a TON of spin, but when I do (and it’s relevant) and I show it on the channel, I will typically mention it, and I like to use a BROWN line and a BROWN arrow showing which way the spin is affecting it off the rail. This is good conceptually why the spin is doing what it’s doing, if you ask me, and is more important than, say, EXACTLY how many “tips” left or right or whatever. You tell me what you think!! To see what I mean maybe a little clearer, I’d check out my latest video on Position Play, where I show that line. Sometimes I’ll show a cue ball, but personally I find it a little disorienting showing the cue ball strike point unless the camera is directly over the poolplayer’s shoulder. Thanks for joining and do keep up with feedback so I can offer anything I can here!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I play in an apartment league, along side a bca league, and in my area they are starting an ultimate pool league where all the rules are combined and twisted.
Something I see here a lot from you is your bridge and amnt of cue left out is leading to losing the cue ball. Remember the more cue stick out from your bridge hand directly relates to how much roll you will get after your shot. So these soft shots, choke up and you wouldn’t have over run the 6. Your shot makes up for a lot of issues in your game but as you’ve said many times the fundamentals weren’t ever given to you as you progressed.
I kid…. I mentioned a few times that my 9-ball game isn’t incredibly strong, and I have trouble finding and executing the right defensive plays. I think there were 2-3 racks in there where i played a safety, then ran out after, so Idk how much more defensive you want me to play 😅😅😅
Excellent picture quality but man that was some ugly 9 ball. You guys looked uncomfortable from the start and your rotation inexperience definitely showed up.
