B. You are so Dam Good and perfect at giving pool content. I just learned the half ball hit to hook them on the rail behind the ball for a safety. Your a Genius! Please don't Ever stop giving us this tremendously valuable content. No one teaches like you do
Just because I work at Diamond in no way means I'm that good. I'm getting better. I put My stick down for 37 years. Got the job there and I has to shoot again. There's a table in breakroom. I said getting better how could I not after following You.
Pool is a thinkers game. Think before you sink ! This video is so good I am going to watch it again ! Thank you ! P.s. yes, I am getting better from watching and practicing what Bryan is teaching in these helpful videos !
Bryan… i’ve told you before please keep making these videos. I was very good in my 20s I’m now 40 and I haven’t played in probably 15 years. Just started playing again. Your videos are worth their weight and diamonds. Back in my 20s I could draw the ball the table. Before I started watching you I was lucky to drive back to inches. I’m back to drawing back the table. And videos like this are helping so much on how to see the table like a chess match I know where to go
Bryan, you do a great job teaching us newbies. I am an older guy that has taken up pool and I learn something every time I watch you. I am not always able to do everything you teach but I am still practicing and getting better, not as fast I want to. Thanks again for your help.
I like the way you explained all of variations of shots. Following you will make me a better shooter n game player. Now I know I can beat my pops as long as I keep practicing on my shots and making better decisions on my game play. Thanks again
Great lesson. I knew from experience most of the patterns, but listening to explain to me again WHY it was the best pattern is reopening my mind. I am 66, and still learning and loving this game.
Thanks Brian for putting this together. I paused before each run to try and figure out how you were going to run them. Only guessed wrong once. Helps me find where I need to improve. Been watching for a while now and enjoy your approach to the game and to helping us out. Peace, and take care
Thanks Bryan. This is exactly what I am working on now. With 8 Ball, I tend to get overwhelmed by all of the options available because you do not have to play in rotation. Seeing different situations and how to address them is very helpful. Also, I am happy to report that the APA is alive and well in the north Houston area!
Seen those shots the same as you, simply because of the natural playing angle. Use yer angles to get to where ya want to go ...... IT takes PRACTICE!!! Love it, Love it, Love it! Keep up the great vids Bryan --- If people don't watch 'em, it's their own fault (and they don't wanna learn). Be Safe
This was excellent. I felt like you were talking to me directly. You are spot on about those side pockets. I’ve got to push myself more and do as you suggested and practice those side shots a whole lot more. I want to thank you because your content has helped me in many ways. I use to win 4 out of 10 games. Now I average 6 wins out of 10. I’ll be totally delighted when I can achieve 7-8 wins out of 10. In my little world of pool, there are a group of people I can always beat. But there is also a group I always lose to. My personal goal is to change that, and at least win 50% of the time. Improving my side pocket shooting will certainly help me to achieve that goal.
Great subject, Bryan. Everything you said about your subscribers keeping the game alive goes double for you. Without exaggeration I can say most of my own interest in the game and my progress has been through watching your videos, taking lessons and practice, practice, practice. Keep on working it!
Side pockets. If I would play those would be my avoidance areas. But Brian is right. I would learn to use those for my advantage. Thanks for the making me realize that, Brian. Keep up the good lessons.
Your right I hated that side pocket! I've only been playing for about 10 months now but it's challenging and fun to go after that side pocket. I can't get better if I can't find out how to use it. Your videos are amazing thanks!
Damn i was hiding that flaw. Ok Ok Ok i will go practice the side pockets shots. LOL great job. Where you stand above many tubers is you talk a bit then demonstrate. The key word was you talk a short bit. Some tubers go on and on. Thanks me peep. I will be back for the next. Hey guys like this dude, he is great at what he does. subscribe it only takes a little click.
Going to my pool hall tonight after two week injury which made me miss two pro tournaments. Angry af actually. Gonna play those middle pockets until I'm done with the training. I missed too many eight balls on them yet still neglect them. Cheers from Prague!
Appreciate all the videos you put up Brian. You have many more years of experience than I do and I like the way you teach the game. Keep up the great work man.
Thanks Bryan, I chose the same balls you did to start each run out, pat yourself on the back for helping me know which balls to choose. I do use your game of throwing all 15 balls out, or breaking a rack and shooting the balls in random order five times/racks, then I write down the number of misses per rack. My personal best is 5 misses out of 75 balls.
Thank you for your videos. I'm a league player that floats back and forth between a 5 and a 6. My two weakest areas are cue ball speed and pattern recognition in 8 ball. I would have left that 6 blocker, but just as you already know I probably would have left it blocking myself. You make it look easy, but I know that easy comes from practice, practice, practice, but more importantly shooting the right sequence. I've been watching all your videos, and I'm taking what I see down to my poolhall (league players can play free anytime, so I play a lot). One thing that I also want to point out is that I'm picking up is how you are practicing. I've been making the mistake of going down to the pool hall, shoot about 10 practice shots and then finding myself shooting 3 hours of rack after rack against ghost player. And, I'm not learning much if anything. The last few weeks, I'm practicing sequences like you're shooting in your example. That way I get to see that "I chose the right sequence, but it doesn't work out. Well, then I'm Freddy (love that example) because I'm not really shooting the right sequence. Apologies for the rambling, but thanks again for taking the time and energy to do these.
Great tips Bryan so right about the side pockets. Identifying the problem is very important as well. I am gonna look for that ball on the short rails now all the time.
Great video. Really shows benefits of thinking about resolving problems or looking at safeties instead of just taking an easy shot. Something I need to work on trying.
You remember that diagram (by Byrne?) that depicted the worthwhile zone to shoot a given ball into the side vs. the corner? (Looked like a giant amoeba!) The "mouth" into the side gets increasingly smaller as the target ball gets off perpendicular. Anyway, that's why side shots seem scary, but I'd rather be good at cuts than lucky at banks. Another bravo video. ("Bradeo"?)
I just came across your videos recently..you are very informative and speak with ultra high pool IQ.. instructions are very accurate, precise, and clearly articulated..love the side picture of cue ball showing strike poin/English ect..will help people learn alot quicker hearing and seeing what your doing.. awesome job! I'm getting back into playing..just practicing for now n hoping to maybe join a summer league here in Cleveland Ohio..I'm actually about to head out n shoot and this video popped up..lol. I already feel at ease n confident by watching these pointers outlined in your video.. I called exactly the order I thought you would shoot..my only problem in the past was over powering shots and getting confused on English thus making a tougher game for myself..but definitely worked on that..not getting frustrated at misses ect.. definitely will be playing with your calm n smooth style.. thank you again. I've watched many videos but many not as informative and just simply flowed as yours and so easy to picture myself at the table and executing..I'm only a 3-4 but in time and practice will climb up..
Good day Brian, I'm from South africa and are really enjoying watching you videos, I'm a very keen pool player, but I'm not happy with my game currently, there's 3 things that I've identified to be my main problems, I've discouvered that I'm applying unwanted side spin on the cue ball and I'm also have an issue with ball and shot selection, can you please refer me to some of your videos that address my problem, I'm willing to practice and learn as much as possible, can you please assist me to improve my game. Thanks Pierre.
Unwanted side spin is basically a problem with your stroke - someone needs to look at you shootings and determine what you’re doing wrong. Someone qualified.
I’m really not sure. I subscribe to a music service and I file them under categories rather than names so I’m really not sure what it’s called. Thanks for watching.
awesome work Brian, thx u. question on first layout. you went 1 first with follow for setup on 6 ball. I originally peg you would go for 1 with a stun or slight follow, then 4 on side, cue goes down for setup on 7 then clip it in with lil left then go for 6. maybe angle decieved me but what/why wasn't that a more high % run out?
Thanks for watching. The reason you do not keep the 6 for last is that you can not even see it from a large part of the table. Any mistakes on the 4 or 7 and you are blocked by the 8. Getting to it early means you have an easy shot on the 8 from just about anywhere. Even though the 6 is close to the pocket, it is blocked from about 60% of the table. PLUS you will need to make the six and stay on the 8 which is not heard but why make yourself have to shoot two shots for shape rather than one layup getting on the even. I hope that answers your question. Thanks again for watching and for your question.
Hi Bryan Baz here again.... I've been trying to get the social team I play for to watch your channel but they can't be bothered.. they won't practice !. We got the wooden spoon last season ( I top scored ) would you quit the team ?
I like to play with people who want to win. But this is a common theme with league players. Most only want to improve if it does not involve learning or practicing. So they never get better. Good for us!
Anyone coming that close to the rail is probably gonna end up on the floor. The last time I saw Earl Strickland try to shoot a jumpshot that’s where he was in a ball ended up on the floor. LOL

"None of us are as good as we think we are." Brilliant and so very true.
Brian your right on thanks for being here I’m 71 years old and my game is getting better because of your channel keep being there for all of us 👍.
Keep it up. Thanks for watching.
It's amazing how many people that have decent ball-pocketing skills lose so many games from poor planning.
Pool is a thinkers game. Think before you sink ! This video is so good I am going to watch it again ! Thank you !

One of my favorite videos. Me, you and Freddie know how to tackle life!😂
Nice runout Bryan!!

I love the simplistic approach Bryan!
Always shoot into your next target zone not away from it
You Bryan are the outstanding teacher. I fully agree with your lesson concerning shooting in the side pockets. Keep up the fantastic lessons.

Thank you brain you have helped my game more than I can tell you.
Excellent! You are the best at this. If only I could know and possess 1/8 of your ability, I'd be rocking!
Love your stuff, Bri. Helps my game, even though I'm not any good any more, lol.
Side pockets. If I would play those would be my avoidance areas. But Brian is right. I would learn to use those for my advantage. Thanks for the making me realize that, Brian. Keep up the good lessons.

Another great video. Thank you Bryan. Sent this to my team and they all loved the video.
Thanks for watching and for your comments as well.
Appreciate all the videos you put up Brian. You have many more years of experience than I do and I like the way you teach the game. Keep up the great work man.
Thanks for this one! I was at the pool hall today and three guys were playing "one pocket." How about a video on that?? It looks complicated!
As always great insight to how to play and out think your opponent.
Nice Video Bryan...Thank you 👍 FX Billiards. I look forward to starting my lessons again

Your views mean a lot to me. Thanks
With each layout, I had the right order of shots. Yay me. Now if I could only execute the shots. Stroke and power issues.
Great tips Bryan so right about the side pockets. Identifying the problem is very important as well. I am gonna look for that ball on the short rails now all the time.
Freddie blows the shot 'cause he's Freddie.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos. I do try hard to learn from them.
You are a great teacher.
As always, thanks for watching and thanks for your comments
First time watching and I love this guy
Your views mean a lot to me. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
I really learn alot from You. I actually work at Diamond.
Always great tutorials !!
I always thought I used good patterns.
But , with your insight , I see much better pattern play !!
Thank you.
Thank u. You’re my favorite pool guy
Hey, I appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Really shows benefits of thinking about resolving problems or looking at safeties instead of just taking an easy shot. Something I need to work on trying.

Great advice
Great stuff Brian, thanks for all your videos!
thank you for doing this!
My pleasure!
great video, need all the help I can get on my 8 ball game. Thank You .
Great advice here! Hope my opponents don't see this 😎
Always great stuff on these videos. Great job!
Thanks for the great videos.
Glad you like them!
Thank you again. Great teaching and info as always.
I haven’t donated yet, but I will when I’m able to let go of some money
Much appreciated!
Super cool !
The realization that I'm "FREDDY" 🤦♂️ 😂😂😂
Great channel, would like to see a video on playing a safe
Coming soon! Thanks for watching Joe
Awesome video.
Thank you.
Need to get rid of problem balls as soon as possible.

7,2,1,5,3,8 looked pretty good also?
New to channel great stuff
Thank you and welcome to FXBilliards
I swear on my deceased father that this 8 ball video currently has 888 likes. I’m changing it to 889, but that is just crazy ironic to me.
Should I buy a low deflection cue stick ?
You should try one for about an hour and decide. I love them and have been using them for 15 years. I would never go back.
A question. Do they make a measles ball that will return on a valley table. If so where do I find one.
I’m really not sure but they certainly should. Try seyberts.com.

@@FXBilliards best part, I can simulate that pattern. I'm a numbers guy so when you tell me odds are not in favor, I trust!

Please define "lay up shot"
Layup means it’s an easy shot
Thank you. The folks I'm learning from call easy shots "ducks". lol@@FXBilliards
What determines your shot selection.
There are a number of factors- you should check out the course at nwqpool.com to learn how to run racks.
Freddy left an easy jump for his opponent tho.
Anyone coming that close to the rail is probably gonna end up on the floor. The last time I saw Earl Strickland try to shoot a jumpshot that’s where he was in a ball ended up on the floor. LOL
Outstanding video! I’ll make sure not to grow into Freddie.
